• Anyone know of a decent editable combo box plugin?

If you USE an editable combo box in your web app and you LIKE the plugin then post it here. Please explain why you chose it over other plugins.   If I have a bunch of data that is never going to change (eg. an English language dictionary or the rgb values of a couple hundred color names), how do I use an SQLite database to store it? I know a database is faster than loading everything into memory when the app starts, but how do I make the database either the first time the app runs or "before" the apps ever runs?

These become quite annoying in textmate as it really muddies up my lib directory, and I never (obviously) need to actually open these files. Can someone tell me how I might hide .jar files from my file listing in Textmate??

• Why is it safe to use copy & paste in Flash but not in Javascript?

  I'm trying to use copy'n paste in one of my web apps and have read a few articles/SO questions about it. Most people say that using Flash is the only option since most browsers don't allow access to the system clipboard because of security concerns. I can understand this but I wonder why it is okay for Flash do this, but not for the browser. Or has it got nothing to do with security and it is simply to complicated to implement this for cross-platform browser vendors?
