• How to make a single line systabcontrol32 that scrolls but doesn't show a scrollbar

  Hi I'm creating a systabcontrol32 control with the TCS_SINGLELINE style when I resize my window so the tab won't fit an up-down control appears that should allow me to scroll so I can see all the tabs. The thing is that the up-down buttons don't seem to work unless I add a the WS_HSCROLL property to the tab control witch makes it ugly as hell. It could be cool if the up-down could scroll the tabs without need to add the scrollbar (even more since the scroll bar doesn't seem to work, it just sits there and I can't click it).

  I need a scalable, automated, method of dumping the contents of "view page source" (DOM) to a file. Programs such as wget or curl will non-interactively retrieve a set of URLs, but do not execute javascript or any of that 'fancy stuff'.   I am generating a table dynamically using Django. The same table template is used to generate a variety of tables depending on the data supplied. In one scenario a particular column contains image tags. Since my table is editable (using jquery) the image cell also becomes editable and removes my content. I want some special behavior on double click of such cells like say upload an image. How do I accomplish this with a jquery? • Padding/Margin/Border On Element Does Not Change DIV Height

  Here is a very simply jsFiddle to demonstrate my problem: http://jsfiddle.net/ryandlf/mSmUv/4/ When an element has a top padding or margin and it sits on the first line within a div, the div does not respect that padding or margin and push the element down. In most cases this isn't an issue, but for example, if I have a button that has a top border and padding the top of the border will be cut off because the div is not taking into consideration the padding value. Is there a workaround for this other than just blindly setting margins or padding on every container div element and hoping I have added enough to account for any internal element that might be affected?

  Hello! I'm writing a OSX PDF Workflow in ObjC and C. A single executable ("UNIX Tool" as named in the Apple reference), that reads in the spooled PDF file, does some parsing. I'd like to give more functionality by enabling a key-down event handling, meaning - when user opens print dialog in an application - and chooses to left-mouse-click on the custom made pdf workflow to run it - depending on if a keyboard key is down (i.e. option key, but "any key down" would be enough for me) when running that workflow - a decision is made in the code. I have read NSEvent and Carbon Event Manager reference and it seems that in this case (a plain unix executable + not run as root) it's not possible. Or is it? Many thanks in advance, Kroko

However, when I use the code below the button element of the list isn't anchored to the left of the list item and instead appears centered...Can anyone help me? It's driving me crazy!   Hello, I have a file with lines having some fields delimited by "|". I have to extract the lines that are identical based on some of the fileds (i.e. find lines which contain the same values for fields 1,2,3 12,and 13) Other fields contents have no importance for searching but the whole extracted lines have to be complete. • Applying drop shadows to divs

  Hi everyone, I need a bit of help applying a drop shadow image to a range of DIV elements. The elements in question already have a background image so I am wrapping another DIV around them. Things get complicated further because I'm also using the 960gs CSS framework. The boxshadow image shows at the bottom of the content box which is what I would like. However as I'm using a fixed percentage of 101%, if the content box height is too small, not much of the drop shadow image gets shown, and if the content box is too big, whitespace starts to appear between the box and the shadow image. So anyway, what I'm looking for is a cross-browser CSS based solution for doing this properly. I'm sure there is an easy answer to this - any help is appreciated!

• CodeIgniter - the right way to create "block" elements on web page

  Hello. I've been searching for a solutions for this problem a while but haven't seen any "valid mvc" solution for this. I hope I can explain my problem clearly enough for you guys. I need to create a dynamic block of HTML on my website. (eg. a block containing user's latest blog comments). I have a template view file (a file containing header, content container and a footer) where I need to add some content AND this block element. The problem is that I don't want to duplicate this block code on every controller. It just feels stupid and I'm sure there's a better way to do this than just duplicating same stuff all over again on all the controller files? I can add view inside another view just fine, but what bugs me is how to actually generate that dynamic content to this block's view-file. I can't call controller from view file, controller from controller filem or model from view file because what I understand that just isn't the "mvc" way? Anyone got any tricks or tips for this?

• How to retrieve content via .load() or $.get() with this line

  hello :) I posted a question a day or two ago about how to retrieve php via ajax method in this modal I was using. I kinda found out the right way to go about it, but there's still something I'm not doing right (obviously lol) Here's the section thats giving me the issues: jQuery('div that holds content').fadeIn(200).css({ 'width': Number( popWidth ) }); $('').load('/something/somewhere/this #content'); So, im using safari, and a local server (mamp), when I check activity in my browser, it shows that it is loading the content with every click, AND the pop up pops up, but no content. When I simply retrieve content via hidden div, ofcourse, i get it. This is what I'm trying to avoid. right now I have that div in my footer stashed as hidden. I'd rather just make a call when its needed, instead of loading it every single time a page is accessed. you can go here to see the whole script i posted in my last question: How to use ajax to show php in a modal pop up Anyone have any idea? I read that .load() has the ability to grab specific content from a request, but im not sure the major difference between that and $.get() I've tried both, and I get the same results.   I'm new to PHP sessions and I've come across the following error: Warning: session_start() [function.session-start]: Cannot send session cookie - headers already sent by (output started at somefile:someline). As well as this one: Warning: session_start() [function.session-start]: Cannot send session cache limiter - headers already sent by (output started at somefile:someline). The session_start(); is the very first thing in all of my code. I'm not sure what the problem is. It gave me line numbers but all I do on those lines is start the session. Also - I have a portion of code whose POST action is another PHP page. How can I set a $_SESSION variable pertaining to this page within that action page?

  hi, I am trying to install SQL server 2008 express on windows 7 64 bit machine using the following command: Setup.exe /qs /Action=Install /Features=SQL /InstanceName=XXX /SQLSYSADMINACCOUNTS="Builtin\Administrators" /SQLSVCACCOUNT="NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM" I can not access the database and get "access denied" error. I narrowed down the issue to the /SQLSYSADMINACCOUNTS="Builtin\Administrators" parameter not working. When I change this parameter value to currnet user or try manual install it works Any idea is appreciated.

• Why Can't Businesses Upgrade their Browsers from IE6/IE7?

  I have read lots these past few weeks on IE6, seeing if it was really that bad to make it look right. I have just learned HTML and CSS this past year so I've been spoiled to start with basically CSS3 and HTML5, and I can do some really cool stuff super fast. I'm no IE6 master and I don't have years of experience with IE. So I thought it'd take a little time to figure out all the hacks to IE6/7 discovered and just implement them. But it's way harder than that (or maybe just way too much work). I'd have to either completely rebuild my design using "Internet Explorer 'Principles'", or cut out a lot of the neat things I could do using more recent technologies. For a million and one other reasons, everyone who builds things online seems to think IE should die. My question is, why can't businesses upgrade their browsers? When I work with businesses, they almost always resist the first time I ask, but 5 seconds later I'll show them what it looks like on my computer and talk about how great the latest stuff is (how much more secure later browser are, all the famous IE security cases, how much smoother and faster they new browsers are, how the IE team has basically missed the boat entirely, how much smoother business processes run, etc.), and they get excited! And within a few seconds they're up and running with Chrome or something. So can businesses not upgrade for some reasons? What are the reasons a business cannot upgrade? The main reason I think of is because they have an old version of windows. But a) wasn't there a legal case against this? and b) somebody must have figured out how to install Chrome or Firefox on ancient versions of Windows by now.

I am currently fetching the information about that one record like this: SELECT * FROM table WHERE table.classified_id = $classified_id I wonder if there is a faster approach, for example like this: SELECT 1 FROM table WHERE table.classified_id = $classified_id Wont the last one only select 1 record, which is exactly what I need, so that it doesn't have to scan the entire table but instead stops searching for records after 1 is found? Or am I dreaming this? Thanks
