• Ajax JQuery responses order problem....

  Hello !!! I am searching 3 hours and didnt find anything.... i have this code which is called at an onChange event of an function group_changed(obj) { $.ajaxSetup({async:false}); $.post("/medilab/personnel/groups/getGroupRightsAjax",{ 'group.id': obj.options[obj.selectedIndex].value }, function(data){ $("#div_rights").html(data); }); } This works fine but if i set async:true sometimes the result doesnt match the selection... I guess that this is happening because some requests are lost or that the responses dont come in order..... Any idea what to do to keep it asynchronous?

• Tracing or Logging Resource Governor classification function behavior in Sql Server 2008

  I'm trying to use the Resource Governor in SQL Server 2008 but I find it hard to debug the classification function and figure out what the input variables will have, i.e. does SUSER_NAME() contain the domain name? What does the APP_NAME() string look like? It's also hard to verify that it's working correctly. What group did the function return? The only way I can see this is to fire up the performance monitor and watch unblinkingly for little blips in the right CPU counter. Is there some way I can either run it in Debug mode, where I can set a breakpoint and step through and look at variable values, or can I at least do the old-school method of writing trace statements to a file so I can see what's going on? Thanks...

  Hello, I have a single user table and I'm trying to come up with a query that returns the total count of all users grouped by date along with the total count of users grouped by date who are of a specific client. Here is what I have thus far, where there's the total count of users grouped by date, but can't seem to figure out how to get the count of those users where user.client_id = x SELECT user.created, COUNT(user.id) AS overall_count FROM user GROUP BY DATE(user.created) trying for a row result like this: [created] => 2010-05-15 19:59:30 [overall_count] => 10 [client_count] => (some fraction of overall count, the number of users where user.client_id = x grouped by date)

  What are some useful SQL statements that should be known by all developers who may touch the Back end side of the project? (Update: just like in algorithm, we know there are sorting problems, shuffling problems, and we know some solutions to them. This question is aiming at the same thing). For example, ones I can think of are: Get a list of Employees and their boss. Or one with the employee's salary greater than the boss. (Self-join) Get a list of the most popular Classes registered by students, from the greatest number to the smallest. (Count, group by, order by) Get a list of Classes that are not registered by any students. (Outer join and check whether the match is NULL, or by Get from Classes table, all ClassIDs which are NOT IN (a subquery to get all ClassIDs from the Registrations table)) Are there some SQL statements that should be under the sleeve of all developers that might touch back end data?

  I'm trying to do a lookup on our demographioc table to display some stats. However, since out demographic table is quit big I want to do it in one query. There are 2 fields that are important: sex, last_login I want to be able to get the total number of logins for various date ranges (<1day ago, 1-7 days ago, 7-30 days ago, etc) GROUPED BY sex I right now know how to do it for one date range. For example less than 1 day ago: SELECT sex, count(*) peeps FROM player_account_demo WHERE last_demo_update>1275868800 GROUP BY sex Which returns: sex peeps UNKNOWN 22 MALE 43 FEMALE 86 However I'd have to do this once for each range. Is there a way to get all 3 ranges in there? I'd want my end result to look something like this: sex peeps<1day peeps1-7days peeps7-30days Thanks!

  I have two tables: a Files table, which includes the file type, and a File Properties table, which references the file table via a foreign key. Sample Files table: | id | name | type | --------------------- | 1 | file1 | zip | | 2 | file2 | zip | | 3 | file3 | zip | | 4 | file4 | jpg | And the Properties table: | file_id | property | ----------------------- | 1 | x | | 2 | x | I want to make a query, which shows the count of each file type, and how many files of that type have a property. So in the example, the result would be | type | filecount | prop count | ---------------------------------- | zip | 3 | 2 | | jpg | 1 | 0 | I could accomplish this by select f.type, (select count(id) from files where type = f.type), count(fp.id) from files as f, file_properties as fp where f.id = fp.file_id group by f.type; But this seems very suboptimal and is very slow. Any better way to do this?

  I trying to print a page with multiple tables. The problem is that any of these tables may break and carry over to the next page. Have been trying to get the table header to repeat on the second page. Am currently using thead and setting the display property to table-header-group. This works just as expected in IE and firefox but the header will not repeat in Safari. Since we are using software that converts our page to a pdf document for printing...and the 3rd party software uses a Safari engine, we are stuck with this problem. Does anyone know a way / workaround to make headers repeat if the table spans multiple pages in Safari?

  Working with .NET framework I have a service with a set of methods that can generates several types of exceptions: MyException2, MyExc1, Exception... To provide proper work for all methods, each of them contains following sections: void Method1(...) { try { ... required functionality } catch(MyException2 exc) { ... process exception of MyException2 type } catch(MyExc1 exc) { ... process exception of MyExc1 type } catch(Exception exc) { ... process exception of Exception type } ... process and return result if necessary } It is very boring to have exactly same stuff in EACH service method with exactly same exceptions processing functionality... Is there any possibility to "group" these catch-sections and use only one line (something similar to C++ macros)? Probably something new in .NET 4.0 is related to this topic? Thanks. P.S.   I have a table where I keep all my templates: templates template_id template_name template_price These templates can be purchased by a registered user and then are inserted in the payments table: payments payment_id template_id user_id Is there a way to join these two tables and get not just a list of templates that have been purchased by a certain user, but all the templates? And then figure out from there which ones have already been purchased? I used this SELECT, but only the ones that the user bought showed up. I would like to have all the rows from templates, but empty in case the user_id doesn't match. So i started out with this: select max(count(price)) from orders group by price which gives me 3. after some time i didn't think that was helpful. i believe i needed the value 14 and 21 rather the the count so i can put that in the where clause. but I'm stuck how to display that. any help?

So the problem is that I would want active a jQuery script after it was clicked Sign up button and it appeared validation summary. I try with $(this).load(function() but in effect it occur when the page is load and not after the button is clicked. I try also use button's onclick ,but I have to use script after onclick and not while. I used Validation group for all field of form, also button and for this reason it seems doesn't postback!

  Basically, I want to pull data from August to May for a given set of dates. Using the between operator works as long as I do not cross the year marker (i.e. BETWEEN 8 AND 12 works -- BETWEEN 8 AND 5 does not). Is there any way to pull this data?   I need to script some Windows Server 2008 R2 builds, preferably in PowerShell. I need to disable or uncheck IPV6 on a specific NIC (the same NIC every time). Currently, I have to set it manually. I do not want to disable IPV6 completely for the entire server other things may use that in the future. Is there an object I can reference in a PowerShell command specifying my NIC "Intel(R) PRO/1000 MT Network Connection" and disable IPV6? Unfortunately, Group Policy is not an option says the boss. I've tried finding an appropriate WMI object via "PowerShell Scriptomatic" but failed to find the difference between an enabled setting versus disabled on the Intel NIC. Thanks in advance.

  Hello, I am having a form and many input elements in that. I want certain fields to be validated, so i keep validateLenth etc on those. And i want some fields to not be validated. For example, i have contact information and address information both on the same page. I want to treat contact information as one group. So if some fields are invalid they should not be submitted and address information to be independent of contact information. Thus, if address information is corrected it should be submitted. I have one form only on the page but two buttons, one for address and one for contact. Simply put :- What is the equivalent of validationGroup of Asp.Net in JSF?

• How to retrieve column total when rows are paginated?

  Hey guys I have a column "price" in a table and I used a pagination script to generate the data displayed. Now the pagination is working perfectly however I am trying to have a final row in my HTML table to show the total of all the price. So I wrote a script to do just that with a foreach loop and it sort of works where it does give me the total of all the price summed up together however it is the sum of all the rows, even the ones that are on following pages. How can I retrieve just the sum of the rows displayed within the pagination? Thank you! Here is the query..
