Zend Framework Router Getting /module/VALUE/controller/action

I've been googling around and I can't seem to find anything which explains the use of ZF router well. I've read the documentation on the site, which seems to only talk about re-routing. I am trying to make the format: /module/value/controller/action give /module/controller/action passing on value as a parameter e.g. /store/johnsmithbigsale/home/newstuff would route to /store/home/newstuff passing on johnsmithbigsale as the value to a parameter with a hidden namespace e.g. storeName. Some help would be greatful!

Posting comment with ajax and jquery

For one, when I add 0 to a queue and then I output the queue like so.. Queue<double> qdub; qdub.enqueue(0); cout << qdub << endl; That works, it will output 0. But for example, if I modify that queue in any way.. like.. assign it to a different queue.. Queue<double> qdub1; Queue<double> qdub2; qdub1.enqueue(0; qdub2 = qdub1; cout << qdub2 << endl; It will give me weird values for 0 like.. 7.86914e-316. Help on this would be much appreciated!

How to get root as '/' with Kohana3, base_url and mod rewrite.

Hi all! I've only just started using Kohana ( 3 hours ago), and so far it's blown my socks off (and I'm wearing slippers, so that's quite impressive). Right now, I have a controller 'Controller_FrontPage' with associated views and models and I'm trying to get it accesible from the root of my website (eg, http://www.mysite.com/). If I edit the default controller in the bootstrap from: Route::set('default', '(<controller>(/<action>(/<id>)))') ->defaults(array( 'controller' => 'welcome', 'action' => 'index', )); to 'controller' => '', I get an error, could not find controller_ (which makes sense), and if I change it to 'controller' => '/', I get an error, could not find controller_/ (which also makes sense). If I set 'controller' => 'FrontPage', everything works fine, but all my links (html::anchor(...)) point to http://www.mysite.com/FrontPage/*. Is there a way to have all the anchors point to http://www.mysite.com/*?

Struts2 Converting Enum Array fills array with single null value

For a simple action class with these member variables: ... private TestConverterEnum test; private TestConverterEnum[] tests; private List<TestConverterEnum> tList; ... And a simple enum: public enum TestConverterEnum { A, B, C; } Using the default struts2 enum conversion, when I send the request like so: TestConterter.action?test=&tests=&tList=&b=asdf For test I get a null value, which is expected. For the Array and List, however, I get and Array (or list) with one null element. Is this what is expected? Is there a way to prevent this. We recently upgraded our struts2 version, and we had our own converters, which also don't work in this case, so I was hoping to use the default conversion method. We already have code that is validating these arrays for null and length, and I don't want to have to add another condition to these branches. Is there a way to prevent this bevavior?

Replacement for Azure SDK Powershell commandlets for deployments

Hi, We've run into an issue with the New-Deployment Azure Powershell commandlet timing out; we've put in a bug report with MS. While they gave us an explanation for it (the path and timeout threshold used to upload through commandlets is different then what's used by the web portal); they don't have a fix for us. We need to get this running so we can automate our build deployments, so we're looking into developing a custom commandlet to replace New-Deployment using the Azure SDK; hoping this path will not have the timeout issues the commandlet did. But before we go down that route; are there any other scriptable tools I can use to replace the New-Deployment functionality? I looked at Cloudberry for Windows Azure; but that doesn't have a scriptable interface yet. Any constructive input is greatly appreciated.

How do I save a copy of the clipboard and then revert back to it?

I'm reading words in a text box by simulating the key presses required to highligh and copy the text. When I'm done, I want the clipboard to be exactly how I found it. I was hoping I'd be able to do something like this: IDataObject clipboardBackup = Clipboard.GetDataObject(); Clipboard.Clear(); //Save other things into the clipboard here, etc// Clipboard.SetDataObject(clipboardBackup); But that doesn't seem to work. It looks like you can go the route of specifically trying for text, audio, pictures, etc. and then saving them accordingly. (I guess 'data object' is specialized like that in my example too, I was hoping it was generic.) I'd prefer not to use cases for every possible type of clipboard data, both to be more concise and to make sure I never lose the data regardless of format. Any tips for grabbing any and all of the clipboard and then restoring it?

Multiple jQuery UI buttons with same ID

There might be a really simple solution to this question, but i just don't see it! I have a page with a list of items. every item has the same jquery ui button (its inside a dialog and adds that item to a list). i identify the item via the parenting DIV holding the DB id. So far so good... The Problem is only the first button on the list works! The second, third etc. buttons don't show any reaction at all. The buttons all have the same id - as the list is dynamic and the same action is triggered with every click. Only the parenting ID changes. WCF service reference namespace differs from original

I'm having a problem regarding namespaces used by my service references. I have a number of WCF services, say with the namespace MyCompany.Services.MyProduct (the actual namespaces are longer). As part of the product, I'm also providing a sample C# .NET website. This web application uses the namespace MyCompany.MyProduct. During initial development, the service was added as a project reference to the website and uses directly. I used a factory pattern that returns an object instance that implements MyCompany.Services.MyProduct.IMyService. So far, so good. Now I want to change this to use an actual service reference. After adding the reference and typing MyCompany.Services.MyProduct in the namespace textbox, it generates classes in the namespace MyCompany.MyProduct.MyCompany.Services.MyProduct. BAD! I don't want to have to change using directives in several places just because I'm using a proxy class. So I tried prepending the namespace with global::, but that is not accepted. Note that I hadn't even deleted the original assembly references yet, and "reuse types" is enabled, but no reusing was done, apparently. However, I don't want to keep the assembly references around in my sample website for it to work anyway. The only solution I've come up with so far is setting the default namespace for my web application to MyCompany (because it cannot be empty), and adding the service reference as Services.MyProduct. Suppose that a customer wants to use my sample website as a starting point, and they change the default namespace to OtherCompany.Whatever, this will obviously break my workaround. Is there a good solution to this problem? To summarize: I want to generate a service reference proxy in the original namespace, without referencing the assembly. Note: I have seen this question, but there was no solution provided that is acceptable for my use case. User control loosing its contents when loaded programatically

I have a usercontrol which contains 2 repeaters and the code to populate them with data. If i manually insert this into the page then it works correctly, the repeaters populate etc. If I load it programatically using this method; 1) add class name to user control ClassName="ContentModule" 2) reference this in the default.aspx <%@ Reference Control="~/modules/content.ascx" %> 3) Add the code to my codebehind page_load to do the loading; Private loadmodule As ASP.ContentModule Try If themodule = "content" Then loadmodule = CType(LoadControl("~\Modules\Content.ascx"), ASP.ContentModule) Modulecontainer.Controls.Add(loadmodule) End If Catch ex As Exception Response.Write(ex.ToString & "<br />") End Try Nothing from within the usercontrol is loaded to the page. Although if I add some static text i.e "TEST" to the top of the usercontrol this is displayed ok on the default.aspx page. This makes me think that the control is loaded ok, but there is something in the way I have loaded it that is causing the contents to not properly execute. Very frustrating this one! Any help greatly appreciated!

How to save bytes to an image and access it from Bottle

I'm working on an API wrapper for Snapchat using Python and Bottle, but in order to return the file (retrieved by the Python script) I have to save the bytes (returned by Snapchat) to a .jpg file. I'm not quite sure how I will do this and still be able to access the file so that it can be returned. Security Exception when using Custom ASP.NET Healthmonitoring event in medium trust

Hi, I'm using custom healthmonitoring events in ASP.NET We recently moved to a new server with default High Trust Permissions. Literature says that healthmonitoring and custom events should work under Medium or higher trust (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb398933.aspx). Problem is - it doesn't. In less than full trust I get a SecurityException saying The application attempted to perform an operation not allowed by the security policy It works in Full trust or when I remove the inheritance of System.Web.Management.WebErrorEvent. Advice Please: SQL Server Identity vs Unique Identifier keys when using Entity Framework

I'm in the process of designing a fairly complex system. One of our primary concerns is supporting SQL Server peer-to-peer replication. The idea is to support several geographically separated nodes. A secondary concern has been using a modern ORM in the middle tier. Our first choice has always been Entity Framework, mainly because the developers like to work with it. (They love the LiNQ support.) So here's the problem: With peer-to-peer replication in mind, I settled on using uniqueidentifier with a default value of newsequentialid() for the primary key of every table. This seemed to provide a good balance between avoiding key collisions and reducing index fragmentation. However, it turns out that the current version of Entity Framework has a very strange limitation: if an entity's key column is a uniqueidentifier (GUID) then it cannot be configured to use the default value (newsequentialid()) provided by the database. The application layer must generate the GUID and populate the key value. So here's the debate: abandon Entity Framework and use another ORM: use NHibernate and give up LiNQ support use linq2sql and give up future support (not to mention get bound to SQL Server on DB) abandon GUIDs and go with another PK strategy devise a method to generate sequential GUIDs (COMBs?) at the application layer I'm leaning towards option 1 with linq2sql (my developers really like linq2[stuff]) and 3. That's mainly because I'm somewhat ignorant of alternate key strategies that support the replication scheme we're aiming for while also keeping things sane from a developer's perspective. Any insight or opinion would be greatly appreciated.

How can you block access form internet explorer in asp mvc

I love microsoft development products! I hate microsoft browsers... I have made the decision to cut ties with internet explorer until they add support for some common W3 approved items. Namely 'multiple' in forms as well as about 5 other things... and as such I would like to urge my visitors to use a better browser. is there a way to setup an http handler or perhaps something in the asax file to route all ie users to a custom page? Thanks for the help! p.s. microsoft why must you make me love you and hate you.

SIGABRT on iPhone when changing xib

I've just finished off an app for the iPhone which, until today, ran fine on the iPhone simulator and actual devices. I tried changing the xib which is loaded in the applicationDidFinishLaunching method in my application delegate class - all I did was change the string in initWithNibName. When I launch the app on the simulator, the Default.png image is shown, then the app crashes with an uncaught exception. When running on a device, the Default.png image is shown for about 10 seconds, the UI is never loaded and I get 'GDB: Program received signal: "SIGABRT".' on the Xcode status bar. Debugging shows that applicationDidFinishLaunching is never actually reached before the app crashes. Setting the starting xib back to the original solves the issue, but now I've made a change and saved it in the Interface Builder and the app shows the same issues as above - I've made no code changes at all. Is it possible to defer member initialization to the constructor body?

I have a class with an object as a member which doesn't have a default constructor. I'd like to initialize this member in the constructor, but it seems that in C++ I can't do that. Here is the class: #include <boost/asio.hpp> #include <boost/array.hpp> using boost::asio::ip::udp; template<class T> class udp_sock { public: udp_sock(std::string host, unsigned short port); private: boost::asio::io_service _io_service; udp::socket _sock; boost::array<T,256> _buf; }; template<class T> udp_sock<T>::udp_sock(std::string host = "localhost", unsigned short port = 50000) { udp::resolver res(_io_service); udp::resolver::query query(udp::v4(), host, "spec"); udp::endpoint ep = *res.resolve(query); ep.port(port); _sock(_io_service, ep); } The compiler tells me basically that it can't find a default constructor for udp::socket and by my research I understood that C++ implicitly initializes every member before calling the constructor. Is there any way to do it the way I wanted to do it, or is it too "Java-oriented" and not feasible in C++? I worked around the problem by defining my constructor like this: template<class T> udp_sock<T>::udp_sock(std::string host = "localhost", unsigned short port = 50000) : _sock(_io_service) { udp::resolver res(_io_service); udp::resolver::query query(udp::v4(), host, "spec"); udp::endpoint ep = *res.resolve(query); ep.port(port); _sock.bind(ep); } So my question is more out of curiosity and to better understand OOP in C++

Ok let me make an example: <head> <script type="text/javascript"> $(document).ready(function(){ $("#options_2").hide(); $("#options_3").hide(); }); </script> </head> <body> <div id="options_1">option 1</div> <div id="options_2">option 2</div> <div id="options_3">option 3</div> <a href="" class="selected">choose option 1</a> <a href="">choose option 2</a> <a href="">choose option 3</a> </body> As you can see only option 1 is visible by default, and the link you click to show option 1 has the class="selected" by default, showing the user that that option is currently selected. I basically want it so that when they click "choose option 2" the options 1 div hides itself and the options 2 div shows itself, and then gives the second link the selected class and removes the class from the image link. It basically just tabs using links and divs but due to the format I have to display it in I cannot use any of the tabs plugins I have found online.

Character Set Issues when Upgrading from Symfony 2.0.* to Symfony 2.1.*?

I have recently upgraded my staging test site to the latest version of Symfony and updated all the vendors using composer as instructed in the upgrade document that comes with the download. Everything has all updated fine, but I have noticed now that some bits of HTML are not displaying in the Twig templates. I did a comparison with the current live site and it appears to be a character set issue. As an example I had a drop down list that had the following value in: Kitchen Ducting > Ducting Kits > Ducting Kit 4” / 100mm In the updated site the drop-down list item just appeared blank. When I used Twig's raw function it then displayed the item again, but with the dreaded question mark in a black diamond. Kitchen Ducting > Ducting Kits > Ducting Kit 4? / 100mm Things that you should know that may help: The staging test site and live site are both on the same server. In my httpd.conf file I have 'AddDefaultCharset utf-8'. In my php.ini file I have 'default_charset = "utf-8"'. The HTML file served has the Content-Type meta tag 'content="text/html; charset=utf-8"' My database is InnoDB and uses 'utf8' as the default character set and 'utf8_general_ci' as default collation. All tables in the database also use the defaults. I looked into BOM with UTF8, but could not work out if that was a problem or not?

Debug not working in Monodroid with a Galaxy Nexus

I'm starting to work with Monodroid testing on a Galaxy Nexus from MonoDevelop for Mac. Running the default Android project without debugging works. Sending an array of complex objects in the get string in C# ASP.NET MVC

Hi, I want to send an array of objects in the get request string. I know this isn't the optimal solution, but I really just want to get this up and running. If I have a class, something like this public class Data { public int a { get; set; } public int b { get; set; } } public class RequestViewData { public IList<Data> MyData { get; set; } } I thought I could bind the MVC route to a web request like this http://localhost:8080/Request?MyData[0].a=1&MyData[0].b=2&MyData[1].a=3&[MyData[1].b=4 But all this does is create an array of two data objects without populating the values 1,2, 3 or 4. Is there a way to bind complex objects arrays?
