  • Determine opencore or stagefright framework for mediaplayer?

    I need to determine if a mediaplayer is using the opencore media framework, so that I can disable seeking for my streams. The opencore framework appears to fail silently with seeking, which I am having a hard time believing they allowed into production, but that seems the case nonetheless. I wish it were as simple as determining their SDK version, but droid phones that have api 8 seem to use opencore still, so doesn't seem to be a good option. Any ideas?

    I have no real need for the entire SDK, my project involves mainly JS and CSS on an ePub structure. My fiend lend me his MacBook on which I'm typing now. I can create everything on a PC box, import to the MacBook and than test it on the emulator. So - how do I install an iPad emulator on a MacBook ? Thank you for your assistance.

    I am unable to access certain websites from my PC viz. google.com, gmail.com , stackoverflow.com, etc. However, I am able to access facebook.com, twitter.com, infoq.com etc. Currently I am accessing Google via proxy server. I suspect that the problem might exist with websites that have used ASP for scripting. Please suggest a solution to the problem that I am facing.

  • How to parse the AndroidManifest.xml file inside an .apk package

    This file appears to be in a binary XML format. What is this format and how can it be parsed programmatically (as opposed to using the aapt dump tool in the SDK)? This binary format is not discussed in the in the documentation here: http://developer.android.com/guide/topics/manifest/manifest-intro.html Note: I want to access this information from outside the Android environment, preferably from Java.

  • Trying to set up iPhone-gcc compiler

    So I've installed iPhone-gcc, make and ldid from cydia, i can't compile yet though because I don't have the headers setup. I've looked around and there's not really much info on setting up the headers, librarys and frameworks. I just need to know where to extract them from the sdk and where to place them on my iPhone.     I'm working on giving our users context-specific PUSH notification settings, similar to what Facebook has in their settings menu. As far as I can tell though, there's no way to actually notify our server of these changes until the user actually launches the app. Is this correct? Is there any mechanism provided for immediately alerting our servers to a settings change?

The data we have to work with is the whole pages HTML as a variable. The page & URL will be different for every time this function runs.   • What binary architectures should be cross-compiled when building Mac OS X packages?

    Currently, Apple's native binaries and libraries are distributed as fat files, with support for both i386 and x86_64 architectures. The SDK (Xcode 4.4 w/ command line tools) doesn't support cross-compiling powerpc binaries any more, so they can be safely ignored I think, but there doesn't seem to be any specific guidelines or recommendations about which Intel architectures to support. So, when compiling code for distribution on OS X, do people still cross-compile for the i386 architecture? Or are x86_64 binaries the only architecture worth bothering with nowadays?

    I've been trying to figure how whether the iPhone (either 3G or 3Gs) camera puts metadata into it's images. Anecdotally, it appears that it does (e.g., I've seen images posted on the web that included a bunch of metadata), but I can't find reference to it anywhere in the SDK documentation. So....does anyone have a definitive answer? Also, if there is metadata, how do I get at it?

  • aapt.exe has stopped working and R.java cannot be resolved after adding Google Play Services library to an existing project

Also, as soon as i remove google-play-services_lib, i get my R.java file back. minimum sdk version is 11.
