• Safari flash wmode not working - anything wrong with this embed?

  I've got a problem with this embed in Safari. It works just fine on all other browsers, IE6 included. The problem is that the embed seems to jump to the very top layer, ignoring all z-index or positioning statements. This is important, because several html design features are overlayed on the flash. This embed was written to work with swfobject, but still doesnt work when: swfobject disabled wmode = transparent/opaque/removed entirely Is this a problem with safari or the code? And if it's the code then what does safari do differently to all the other browsers? Bah. • Updating fields of values in a ConcurrentDictionary

  I am trying to update entries in a ConcurrentDictionary something like this: class Class1 { public int Counter { get; set; } } class Test { private ConcurrentDictionary<int, Class1> dict = new ConcurrentDictionary<int, Class1>(); public void TestIt() { foreach (var foo in dict) { foo.Value.Counter = foo.Value.Counter + 1; // Simplified example } } } Essentially I need to iterate over the dictionary and update a field on each Value. I understand from the documentation that I need to avoid using the Value property. Instead I think I need to use TryUpdate except that I don’t want to replace my whole object. Instead, I want to update a field on the object. After reading this blog entry on the PFX team blog: Perhaps I need to use AddOrUpdate and simply do nothing in the add delegate. Does anyone have any insight as to how to do this?

• Prevent ListBox from focusing but leave ListBoxItem(s) focusable (wpf)

  Here is what happens: I have a listbox with items. Listbox has focus. Some item (say, 5th) is selected (has a blue background), but has no 'border'. When I press 'Down' key, the focus moves from ListBox to the first ListBoxItem. (What I want is to make 6th item selected, regardless of the 'border') When I navigate using 'Tab', the Listbox never receives the focus again. But when the collection is emptied and filled again, ListBox itself gets focus, pressing 'Down' moves the focus to the item. How to prevent ListBox from gaining focus? P.S. listBox1.SelectedItem is my own class, I don't know how to make ListBoxItem out of it to .Focus() it.   I have a large set of values V, some of which are likely to exist in a table T. I would like to insert into the table those which are not yet inserted. So far I have the code: for value in values: s = self.conn.execute(mytable.__table__.select(mytable.value == value)).first() if not s: to_insert.append(value) I feel like this is running slower than it should. I have a few related questions: Is there a way to construct a select statement such that you provide a list (in this case, 'values') to which sqlalchemy responds with records which match that list? Is this code overly expensive in constructing select objects? Is there a way to construct a single select statement, then parameterize at execution time?

  Hello, I'm trying to integrate PartCover.NET with NAnt and CruiseControl.NET I can run PartCover.NET browser without problems, but it does not work once I try to run it in an NAnt task (in my CCNET build). There must be an issue with my NAnt target but I can't find it. Basically I have defined Parameters!RP_cll_typ_l1 as multivalued into my subreport as per ssrs multivalued parameter passing method.   Hi, I cant seem to find the modifications I made to web.config in my FeatureRecievers Activated event. I try to get the modifications from the SpWebApplication.WebConfigModifications collection in the deactivate event, but this is always empty.... And the strangest thing is that my changes are still reverted after deactivating the feature... My question is, should I not be able to view all changes made to the web.config files when accessing the SpWebApplication.WebConfigModifications collection in the Deactivating event? • Ajax actionlinks straight from a DropDownList

  I've got a small linkbox on the side of my page that is rendered as a PartialView. In it I have a dropDownlist the should change the routing value of the links in the box but I'm having difficulty doing so. My current plan is to call on something similar to a Ajax.ActionLink to reload the partial view into the with a different parameter based on the value of the dropdown selection. However I'm having multiple problems with this, for example as a novice in using dropdownlists I have no idea how to call on the selected value for example. <%= Html.DropDownList("DropDownList1", new SelectList(Model, "ID", "Name"), "--Pick--", new { AutoPostBack = "true", onchange = "maybe something here" })%> I tried putting in the sys.mvc.AsyncHyperlink into the onchange attribute and that worked except I don't know how to put in the route value for it. Sys.Mvc.AsyncHyperlink.handleClick(this, new Sys.UI.DomEvent(event), { insertionMode: Sys.Mvc.InsertionMode.replace, updateTargetId: 'SmallMenu' } Is there no straight Ajax drop down list that fires events onchange? Any way this is possible? I have later in the Partial view the Ajax actionlinks but they need to have their id's updated by the value in the dropdownlist and if I could do that somehow else I would appreciate a suggestion.

• Java update/install via group policy

  I trying to deploy the latest Java RE version via GP, Java 7 update 9. I want to update computers that are currently running an older version of Java, a mixture of 7.6 and 7.7, some computers are running versions as old as 6.31. Some are running a mixture of both. I would also like this GP to install Java if it's not installed. Previously I used push out Java updates to users machines as Java didn't remove the old version. So when it was done the user would restart their browser or pc to start using the latest version. Not the best way to manage it as it leaves the old version installed but it worked. I've created group policies before for printer deployment, log on drive mapping scripts, but never software deployment. I've extracted the Java MSI and created a transform file to suppress reboot etc using orca. As described on this site http://ivan.dretvic.com/2011/06/how-to-package-and-deploy-java-jre-1-6-0_26-via-group-policy/. I have also tried saving the edited MSI directly and that didn't work either. But it just won't deploy. I have tried to enable logging as suggested on this site http://openofficetechnology.com/node/32, GPO logging via UserEnvDebugLevel, Software deployment logging via AppmgmtDebugLevel and MSI logging, but there is no log C:\Windows\Debug\UserMode\userenv.log being created. • pygtk - dynamically update the widgets taking input from the gtk combo box

  On selecting value from 1 to 10 from gtk combox box it should populate the checkbox by taking combo box value as an input. Say for example if i select 5 then 5 checkbox will be generated. It works.. But the issue is after i selected 5 now im selecting next value as 3 from combo box then there 8 checkboxes are displayed. The old 5 checkbox didnt get replaced. Is there any way to refresh the vbox(which has the checkboxes) or update to a new value. Enviroment : FC10 , Glade 2 , Python 2.5 , GTK.

• Subsonic 3 fails to identify Stored Procedure Output Parameter

  Hi using Subsonic 3.0.0.3 it appears there is some issue with Subsonic identifying Stored Procedure paramters as output parameters. In the StoredProcedures.cs class I find my stored procedure definition but the last parameter is defined incorrectly as a 'AddParameter'. sp.Command.AddParameter("HasPermission",HasPermission,DbType.Boolean); When I sp.Execute() and attempt to read the value of the sp.Command.OutputValues[0] the value is null. If the definition is edited to be like this; sp.Command.AddOutputParameter("HasPermission", DbType.Boolean); Then the value is returned and is correct value type I am not sure how I 'fix' this - as everytime I regen the SP class via the 'Run Custom Tool' the parameter definitions require editing. Should I edit a T4 template somehow? Please advise. EDIT: I forgot to mention I am using MS SQL 2008 (10.0.2531)

• Why is Html.DropDownList() producing <select name="original_name.name"> instead of just <select name

  I have an editor template whose job is to take a SelectList as its model and build a select element in html using the Html.DropDownList() helper extension. I'm trying to assign the name attribute for the select based on a ModelMetadata property. (Reason: on post-back, I need to bind to an object that has a different property name for this item than the ViewModel used to populate the form.) The problem I'm running into is that DropDownList() is appending the name I'm providing instead of replacing it, so I end up with names like categories.category instead of category. Here is some code for you to look at...
