    I have a flash application written in action script 2, and at one point it makes multiple back-to-back JavaScript requests using getUrl(). They have to be done as separate requests because IE had a limit on the length of a single request, and fails silently if that limit is passed. When ever this happens, if the user has their sound turned on there is a barrage of "click click click".

    Hello, i've been development some web app on Icefaces 1.7.2 and it's impossible to me run my app on chrome. When i click some icefaces element like link or button and that's trigger some javascript (ajax) my google chrome it's blocking the request or javascrit and only shows this message "Javascript is blocked. ICEfaces cannot run on chrome " can anybody helpme ? my web app it's www.flygonet.com and is under development. Thanks.

    Hi there, I'm using ASIHTTP Request to get a NSString response that I give to a SBJSON parser. The problem is that inside the NSString response I got some UTF8 encoded character (accent) that I need do decode to make the app works. How can I decode UTF8 with JSON?     I have a class written in C# (Windows Forms) It's a WebClient class which I intent to use in some website and for Logging In and navigation. Here's the complete class pastebin.com (the class has 197 lines so I just use pastebin. I was able to log in, but when I navigate to other page (without leaving the domain), I was thrown back to log in page.   • Interesting issue with ScriptManager timeout value happens only in win2k machines

    When I set the Asyncpostbacktimeout value to a large value like 3600000000, the scriptmanager throws a timeout exception (it throws the error almost immediately after user action which triggers ajax request, so it is not timing out because the server is not responding). If I reset this value to some sane number like 3600 or even 36000, it works fine. AJAx content is getting updated in the page. This weirdness happens only in windows 2000 machines and does not happen in XP machines Any thoughts ?

    An odd request, I know. I want Javascript to pretend the user just pressed the backspace. That's all I really want, if you want more info: My last topic here, gives more explaination. In short: I press a key, javascript converts the key to the greek equivalent, then puts that key in instead. The problem is, when onKeyUp is activated, it starts a function which looks for combinable character pairs put together (for accents) and inserts that key.

Strong Name is computed at the compile time, put into the client and obfurscated. Strong name is sent to the server with RPC request as described here.   • Exporting SQL Server Databases for offline use

    I have a desktop application (C# .NET 3.5) that uses a SQL server for it's database. I have had a request from the client, however, to make it possible to export the database as it stands, and be able to use it on a laptop without connectivity. They understand that updates to the parent server will not be reflected in these offline clients. Is there a way I can just save the DataSet's to a binary form and write them to a disk and send those files to the offline clients.
