• Iphone sdk 4 home button minimizes the app

  Hi, i have created a small app using the sdk 4, app works perfectly fine, but when the user hits the home button to exit and when he comes back, the app doesn't go to the home screen, it continues from the state (screen) which the user hit the home button. How can I reset it?

• Float: left not showing up after a certain point.

  http://test.jptgraphics.com/products?cat=APPAREL This works fine in Safari but shows incorrectly in the latest version of Firefox ( was fine in 3.5) and in some versions of IE. In the middle column the product thumbnails drop down below when the 'float: left;' parameter is used. It is as if it is being escaped by a tag from that point forward no 'float: left's work and all the items are centered moving forward.

  I've been struggling with getting an application endpoint working on UCMA 3.0. I am trying to run an application on a server separate from the Lync server which uses a registered ApplicationEndpoint to monitor presence and act as a bot which can send other users messages. I used to have my code working with a UserEndpoint (which was fine for monitoring presence), but did not have the capabilities to send IMs to other Lync users.   What are the possible causes of this type of error - "[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver]Protocol error in TDS stream"? And how can this be fixed? My application runs in C++ calling stored procedures implemented in SQL Server. There's this one SP (containing select and update statements) that causes this problem, after which all succeeding queries will return that the cursor is in an invalid state. I've checked the SP but I don't see any possible problem.

  I'm trying to write a simple tool for monitoring the state of a Queue Manager. One of the things I'd like to monitor is the current queue depth of each queue. I haven't been able to find a way to programmatically enumerate all of the queues on a particular Queue Manager, though. Do any of the MQ APIs provide this functionality? I'd prefer to do this with C, but if it's only possible with another language's bindings, I'd at least like to know that.

  HI I am having problem with getting all the columns back when i execute following code in excel vba. I only get 6 out of 23 columns back. Connection, command etc works fine (i can see exec command in the SQL Profiler), data headers are created for all 23 columns but i only get data for 6 column. • LVM_INSERTITEM very slow in vista/W7

  in a large listview control collection (say 5000 items), adding a SINGLE extra item can take 10+ seconds in windows vista/7, and that's just the LVM_INSERTITEM message handling it looks that it only affects LVS_ICON, LVS_REPORT and LVS_LIST are still very fast can anybody confirm this? the same code on windows XP with similar listview window styles adds an extra item instantly thanks nikos

• Reading HTTP server push streams with Python

  I'm playing around trying to write a client for a site which provides data as an HTTP stream (aka HTTP server push). However, urllib2.urlopen() grabs the stream in its current state and then closes the connection. I tried skipping urllib2 and using httplib directly, but this seems to have the same behaviour. Is there a way to get the stream to stay open, so it can be checked each program loop for new contents, rather than waiting for the whole thing to be redownloaded every few seconds, introducing lag?

  I'm really new to this oauth stuff. I want to access a user's google reader liked items feed. This blog says that oauth doesn't work (yet) with google reader. The working way seems to be to get the user's google credentials (email, password) directly, and login directly to google. This also gives me access to the rest of their services. Is there a better way, or must the user trust me with their google credentials?
