Now this table has to be updated every month for all the paid users and the table is bulk. So what is the best way to update the table every month.Do i need to select all the uid's and update.

  • Passing a panel widget to a function

    I have written a quite complex script which calls a server handler to refresh elements in a grid at the press of a button. For code re-use and consistent behaviour, I am wanting to call that server handler directly during the initial painting of the grid. When the server handler gets called by clicking on the button, all expected widgets are available and can be queried with e.parameter.widget etc. When I call the function directly and pass it the panel variable, the value of e is just 'AbsolutePanel'. Is there some way I can emulate the addCallbackElement way of passing the entire panel and all widgets it contains to the function? Or a way of automatically firing a server handler on script start? Please forgive any syntax errors below, I have pruned 500 lines of code down to the pertinent bits! I've used a javascript code that does the conversion - /((http|https|ftp):\/\/[^ ]+)/g; , but sometimes if there are multiple words, it captures an invalid URL. My question: Is there a way to strictly capture any string that starts with "http" AND ends with ".html" or "aspx" will be converted into a valid hyperlink? it should look like this - This is the site http://checksite.apsx to get information. Question: 1.its able to call the derived class fn even if that is private.How is it possible? Now if i change the inheritance access specifier from public to protected/private then i get compilation error as "'type cast' : conversion from 'Derived *' to 'base *' exists, but is inaccessible" Notes: I am aware on the concepts of the inheritance access specifiers.So in second case as its derived private/protected, its inaccessible.   • Small and fast .NET programs? - 65% runtime in ResolvePolicy

    Hi, I tried to build a very very small .NET app in F#. It just has to convert a small string into another string and print the result to the console like: convert.exe myString == prints something like "myConvertedString" I used dottrace to analyze the performance: 26% (168ms) in my actual string conversion (I thinks this is ok.) 65,80% (425ms) in ResolvePolicy in System.Security.SecurityManager A runtime 500ms on every execution is way too slow. Can I do something to improve this? It would be Ok if only the first call needs this time. Regards, forki

  • Table sorting & pagination with jQuery and Razor in ASP.NET MVC

    Introduction jQuery enjoys living inside pages which are built on top of ASP.NET MVC Framework. The ASP.NET MVC is a place where things are organized very well and it is quite hard to make them dirty, especially because the pattern enforces you on purity (you can still make it dirty if you want so ;) ). We all know how easy is to build a HTML table with a header row, footer row and table rows showing some data. With ASP.NET MVC we can do this pretty easy, but, the result will be pure HTML table which only shows data, but does not includes sorting, pagination or some other advanced features that we were used to have in the ASP.NET WebForms GridView. Ok, there is the WebGrid MVC Helper, but what if we want to make something from pure table in our own clean style? In one of my recent projects, I’ve been using the jQuery tablesorter and tablesorter.pager plugins that go along. You don’t need to know jQuery to make this work… You need to know little CSS to create nice design for your table, but of course you can use mine from the demo… So, what you will see in this blog is how to attach this plugin to your pure html table and a div for pagination and make your table with advanced sorting and pagination features.   Demo Project Resources The resources I’m using for this demo project are shown in the following solution explorer window print screen: Content/images – folder that contains all the up/down arrow images, pagination buttons etc. You can freely replace them with your own, but keep the names the same if you don’t want to change anything in the CSS we will built later. Content/Site.css – The main css theme, where we will add the theme for our table too Controllers/HomeController.cs – The controller I’m using for this project Models/Person.cs – For this demo, I’m using Person.cs class Scripts – jquery-1.4.4.min.js, jquery.tablesorter.js, jquery.tablesorter.pager.js – required script to make the magic happens Views/Home/Index.cshtml – Index view (razor view engine) the other items are not important for the demo. ASP.NET MVC 1. Model In this demo I use only one Person class which defines Person entity with several properties. You can use your own model, maybe one which will access data from database or any other resource. Options added: tablesorter - widthFixed: true – gives fixed width of the columns tablesorter - sortList[[0,0]] – An array of instructions for per-column sorting and direction in the format: [[columnIndex, sortDirection], ... ] where columnIndex is a zero-based index for your columns left-to-right and sortDirection is 0 for Ascending and 1 for Descending. A valid argument that sorts ascending first by column 1 and then column 2 looks like: [[0,0],[1,0]] (source: http://tablesorter.com/docs/) tablesorterPager – container: $(“#pager”) – tells the pager container, the div with id pager in our case. tablesorterPager – size: the default size of each page, where I get the default value selected, so if you put selected to any other of the options in your select list, you will have this number of rows as default per page for the table too. END RESULTS 1. Table once the page is loaded (default results per page is 5 and is automatically sorted by 1st column as sortList is specified) 2. Sorted by Phone Descending 3. Changed pagination to 10 items per page 4. Sorted by Phone and Name (use SHIFT to sort on multiple columns) 5. Sorted by Date Added 6. Page 3, 5 items per page   ADDITIONAL ENHANCEMENTS We can do additional enhancements to the table. We can make search for each column. I will cover this in one of my next blogs. Stay tuned. You will be amazed of the purity of your code.Working with pagination in client side can be very useful. One of the benefits is performance, but if you have thousands of rows in your tables, you will get opposite result when talking about performance. Hence, sometimes it is nice idea to make pagination on back-end. So, the compromise between both approaches would be best to combine both of them. I use at most up to 500 rows on client-side and once the user reach the last page, we can trigger ajax postback which can get the next 500 rows using server-side pagination of the same data.   • Hudson on debian lenny

    Hello, I installed Hudson deamon on one server (running on debian lenny testing) some time ago. All was working until I perform an upgrade. At this time Hudson isn't accessible at port 8080 (which is the default port used). I have looked for iptables problems, however port 8080 is open in INPUT and OUTPUT. Configuration file in /etc/default/hudson seems okay, I haven't touch it. And if I do a ps aux | grep hudson, hudson deamon is running.   • How can I automatically update Flash Player whenever a new version is released? [closed]

    Summary: Flash Player Update Service doesn't run on a reliable schedule, and doesn't automatically download and apply updates when it does run. Given the importance of having an up-to-date version of Flash Player installed (for those of us who don't use Chrome with its built-in player), I would like to find a way to ensure that new updates are promptly detected and installed. What follows are the details of my efforts to solve this problem on my own... Appendix A: Flash Player Update Service OK, way back in Flash Player 11.2 (or so?) Adobe added the Flash Player Update Service (FlashPlayerUpdateService.exe), it was supposed to keep the Flash Player updated... Upon installation, FPUS is configured to run as a Windows Service, with Start Type set to Manual. A Scheduled Task (Adobe Flash Player Updater.job) is added to start this service every hour. So far, so good - this set-up avoids having a constantly-running service, but makes sure that the checks are run often enough to catch any updates quickly. Google's software updater is configured in a similar fashion, and that works just fine... ...And yet, when I checked the version of my installed Flash Player, I found it was 11.6.602.180, which, based on looking at the timestamps of the files in C:\Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash was last updated (or installed) on Tue, Mar 12, 2013 --- 3/12/13, 5:00:08pm. I made this observation on Thu, Apr 25, 2013 --- 4/25/13, 7:00:00pm, and upon checking Adobe's website found that the current version of Flash Player was 11.7.700.169. That's over a month since the last update, with a new one clearly available on the website but with no indication that the hourly check running on my machine has noticed it or has any intention of downloading it. Appendix B: running the Flash Player updater manually Once upon a time, running FlashUtil32_<version_Plugin.exe -update plugin would give you a window with an Install button; pressing it would download the installer for the current version (automatically, without opening a browser) and run it, then you'd click thru that installer & be done. It was manual, but it worked! Finding my current installation out of date (see Appendix A), I first tried this manual update process. However... Running FlashUtil32_<version_ActiveX.exe -update activex (in my case, that's FlashUtil32_11_6_602_180_ActiveX.exe -update activex) ...only presents a window with a Download button, clicking that Download button opens my browser to the URL https://get3.adobe.com/flashplayer/update/activex. Running FlashUtil32_<version_Plugin.exe -update plugin (in my case, that's FlashUtil32_11_6_602_180_Plugin.exe -update plugin) ...only presents a window with a Download button, clicking that Download button opens my browser to the URL https://get3.adobe.com/flashplayer/update/plugin. I could continue with the Download page it sent me to, uncheck the foistware box ("Free! McAfee Security Scan Plus"), download that installer (ActiveX, no foistware: install_flashplayer11x32axau_mssd_aih.exe, Plugin, no foistware: install_flashplayer11x32au_mssd_aih.exe) & probably have an updated Flash...but then, what is the point of the Flash Player Update Service if I have to manually download & run another exe? Epilogue I've since come to suspect that the update service is intentionally hobbled to drive early adopters to the manual download page. If this is true, there's probably no solution to this short of writing my own updater; hopefully I am wrong.

    Hello. I have a Dell OptiPlex 360 workstation at work, with 2 x ATI RV280 [Radeon 9200 PRO] graphics cards installed, which are attached to two identical 19" HII flat panel monitors. I'm using the open source Radeon driver with Ubuntu, and the proprietary drivers with Windows. The good news is that dual head configuration works for both OSes. The bad news is, I have to use a different hardware configuration for each OS to achieve this. Hardware config #1: Dual monitors work for Windows XP Pro like this: First display -> external VGA port Second display -> DVI input on gfx card Hardware config #2: Dual monitors work for Ubuntu 10.04.1 like this: First display -> VGA port on gfx card Second display -> DVI input on gfx card I connected up the displays according to Config #2 and booted up Windows, which resulted in a mirror image on both screens. I was unable to login, as the login box was not visible. I unplugged the VGA lead from gfx card and plugged it into the external VGA port (Config #1) - Windows dual head works again, but the VGA-connected screen is not recognised by Ubuntu and remains in standby mode. Is it possible to configure a dual head setup for Ubuntu using Config #1, or am I missing something? I tried setting up dual monitors using Config #1, this morning which didn't work. Consider raising the ThreadsPerChild setting We raised our ThreadsPerChild setting from 50 to 100, but we still get the error. Our access logs indicate that these errors never even happen at periods of high load. For example, here's an excerpt from our access log (ip addresses and some urls are edited for privacy). Since the Apache server runs as a separate process and the database doesn't record any problems when this error occurs, I'm doubtful that Oracle is the problem. Unfortunately, the errors are freaking out our sysadmins, who are inclined to blame any and all problems which occur with the server on this error. Is this a known bug in Apache that I simply haven't been able to find any reference to through Google?

  • Sharepoint AD imported users are becomming sporadically corrupted, causing us to have to create a new account

    Sharepoint 2007 MOSS with AD imported users. All servers are 2008. ***UPDATE More details in testing. This Sharepoint is in an AD Child domain (clients.mycompany.local), which is sub to the root of the AD tree (mycompany.local). The user is in the parent tree (as are half of the other functional users. I have elevated the user rights to Domain. In looking at the logs, it seems that the Sharepoint server is trying to authenticate them by querying the DC for the clients domain (which is the way it normally works and still works for all existing identically configured users). I think if I could force it to authenticate up to the top domain DC then it would be ok?? I have around 50 users, over the past 2 months, I have had a handful of the users suddenly unable to login to Sharepoint. When they login, they either get a blank screen or they are repropmted. These users are using accounts that have been used for many months, sometimes the problem originates with a password change. In all cases, the users account works on every other Active Directory authenticated resource (domain, exchange, LDAP). In the most recent case, last night I was forced deleted a user ("John smith") because of corruption. The orifinal account name was jsmith. I deleted him from active directory, then deleted him from the profile list in Sharepoint Shared Services. I could not find a way to delete him from the Sharepoint user list, but I reran the import after recreating his account (renamed it too just to be sure to "smithj"). At first, this did not wor, the user could still access all other resources but Sharepoint. then, some 30 minutes later it inexplicably started working. This morning, the user changed passwords, which immediatly broke the login on Sharepoint again.   • Apache cyclic redirection problem

    I have an extremely weird problem with one of my sites. I run a number of blogs off a single apache2 server with a shared wordpress install. Each site has a www.domain.com main domain, but a ServerAlias of domain.com. This works fine for all the blogs except one, which instead of redirecting to www.domain.com redirects to domain.com, causing a cyclic redirection. The configuration for each host looks like this: <VirtualHost *:80> ServerName www.domain.com ServerAlias domain.com DocumentRoot "/home/www/www.domain.com" <Directory "/home/www/www.domain.com"> Options MultiViews Indexes Includes FollowSymLinks ExecCGI AllowOverride All Order allow,deny Allow from all </Directory> </VirtualHost> As this didn't work, I tried a mod_rewrite rule for it, which still didn't redirect correctly. The weird thing here is that if i rewrite it to redirect to any other domain it will redirect correctly, even to another subdomain. So a rewrite rule for domain.com that redirects to foo.domain.com works, but not to www.domain.com. In the same way, trying to redirec to www.domain.com/foo/ ends me up with a redirection to domain.com/foo/. Even weirder, I tried setting up domain.com as a completely separate virtual host, and ran this php test script as index.php on it: <?php header('Location: http://www.domain.com/' . $_SERVER["request_uri"]); ?> Hitting domain.com still redirects to domain.com! Checking out the headers sent to the server verifies that I get exactly the redirect URL I wanted, except with the "www." stripped. The same script works like a charm if I replace www. with foo or redirect to any other domain. This has now foiled me for a long time. I've diffed the vhosts configs for a working domain and the faulty one, and the only difference is the domain name itself. I've diffed the .htaccess files for both sites, and the only difference is a path related to the sharing of wordpress installation for the blogs: php_value include_path ".:/home/www/www.domain.com/local/:/home/www/www.domain.com/" I searched through everything in /etc (including apache conf) for the domain name of the faulty host and found nothing weird, searched through everything in /etc for one of the working ones to make sure it didn't differ, I even went so far to check on the DNS setup of two domains to make sure there wasn't anything strange going on. I want to see what messages in file B are essentially new, i.e. to filter-out everything from A. Find recurring units and "categorize" lines, filter out too volatile things like timestamps, addresses or line numbers. Analyse the second file, find things that has new logical units (one-time or recurring), or anything that will "amaze" the system which has got used to the first file. However, the funny thing is that if you look at the error message, why does Google state that the recipient's domain stated that there is "No such user here" for my address? That makes no sense. Of course there is no user having my address at sonic.net. Also, I assume that I just discovered that I can't send mail to users at sonic.net by accident and that there are probably other domains I can't send e-mail to. So... anybody have any idea what's going on? And how I can get mail to users at sonic.net?

Since I received a few failure reports recently I wanted to investigate more. I have only one server sending outbound emails, running postfix + dkimproxy. I trust that dkimproxy has no major software bugs resulting in bad messages. It reports an error in tag v. A few hours ago I noticed my v tag was v=DKIM1 instead of v=1 as specified in RFC. I thought it was an error made by me during the initial setup months ago and fixed to v=1, but anyway I received one DMARC success from Google. Let me explain better: I enforced DMARC a couple of days ago. On 4/16 morning I got a mail from Google telling me that DMARC fully passes, then since 4/17 I get all failures. Then I discovered the v=DKIM1 tag and replaced with v=1 without success I have not modified my DNS records before that. So, keeping in topic with the question, why does ReturnPath refuse my DKIM DNS record? Is something wrong in my DKIM implementation at DNS level?   • Cannot read status the monit daemon, even with allowed group

    I cannot seem to get monit status or other CLI commands to work. I've built monit v5.8 to run on a Raspberry Pi. I'm able to add services to be monitored, and the web interface can be accessed just fine, as I've set it up for public read-only access (it's a test server, not my final production setup, so not a big deal right now). Problem is, when I run monit status while logged in as root I get: # monit status monit: cannot read status from the monit daemon I also have monit started on boot via this /etc/inittab file entry: mo:2345:respawn:/usr/local/bin/monit -Ic /etc/monitrc I've verified that monit is running, and I'm getting email alerts anytime I either kill the monit process manually, or reboot my raspberry pi. So, next I check my monitrc file permissions to see which group is allowed access. # ls -al /etc/monitrc -rw------- 1 root root 2359 Aug 24 14:48 /etc/monitrc Here's my relevant allow section of the control file. set httpd port 80 allow [omitted] readonly allow @root allow localhost allow 0.0.0.0/0.0.0.0 Also tried setting permissions on this file to 640 to allow group read permissions, but no matter what I try I either get the same error as noted above, or when the permissions are set to 640 I get: # monit status monit: The control file '/etc/monitrc' must have permissions no more than -rwx------ (0700); right now permissions are -rw-r----- (0640). What am I missing here? I know that the httpd must be enabled, as that's the interface that the CLI uses to get information (or so I've read), so I've done that.
