  What are all the differences between pipes and message queues? Please explain both from vxworks & unix perspectives. I think pipes are unidirectional but message queues aren't. But don't pipes internally use message queues, then how come pipes are unidirectional but message queues are not? What are the other differences you can think of (from design or usage or other perspectives)?

• TArray<Byte> VS TBytes VS PByteArray

  Those 3 types are very similar... TArray is the generic version of TBytes. Both can be casted to PByteArray and used as buffer for calls to Windows API. (with the same restrictions as string to Pchar). What I would like to know: Is this behavior "by design" or "By Implementation". Or more specifically, could it break in future release?

  Hi all, Is it possible to simulate a USB drive with software only? I mean, for example, to expose a local memory space to the OS so the device manager will recognize it as a USB device. I'm not familiar with hardware implementation, but I'm sure that it is possible somehow to emulate the USB protocol. I began with this book - USB Design By Example.   I think that subject summs it pretty well... I have created my custom validators that work great when I put them on page in design mode. However if I place them in a usercontrol, and then try to add this user control to the parent page via updatepanel, then my custom validators just won't trigger. They simply don't work. • How do bezier handles work?

  On Wikipedia I found information about bezier curves and made a function to generate the inbetween points for a bezier polygon. I noticed that Expression Design uses bezier handles. This allows a circle to be made with 4 points each with a bezier handle. I'm just not sure mathematically how this works in relation with the formula for bezier point at time T. How do these handle vectors work to modify the shape? Basically what's there relation to the bezier formula? Thanks

  I was wondering if anyone knows of a caching proxy specifically for dealing with API responses? Ideally, I'd be able to declare what caching policy to use for different API semantics, e.g. cache album art for 1 day, cache favorite tweets for 5 minutes, cache map tiles forever, except invalidate when this other API is called. I know about using Apache, Squid, etc for caching in general -- I'm just hoping for something with nicer usage semantics by restricting the design goal to dealing with APIs rather than the web in general.
