  • How to I "scan" a website(or page) for info, and bring it into my program?

    Well, I'm pretty much trying to figure out how to pull information from a webpage, and bring it into my program(in Java). For example, if I know the exact page I want info from, for the sake of simplicity a Best Buy item page, how would I get the appropriate info I need off of that page? Like the title, price, description? What would this process even be called? I have no idea were to even began researching this :'(

  • How to get password html helper to render password on failed validation

    I have a form for creating a new account and it has a password field in it. I'm using view models to pass data to the controller action and back to the form view. When the user enters their details in, and clicks submit, if validation fails and it returns them to the same view passing back in the view model, it won't default the password to what they entered. How can I get it to do this? Or should I even try?

How can I multiply that number by 60 before saving the form, such that the database stores the number in seconds? Then, how do I reverse that and show the field in minutes on another view?     How do I get shortcodes to process properly in custom fields? I've tried using the code below, but I cannot figure out where to place it ("button" is the name of the field): <?php if ( get_post_meta($post->ID, 'button', true) ) echo do_shortcode(get_post_meta($post->ID, 'button', $single = true)); ?> As of now, the shortcode is working in the sense that the button is displaying, but the shortcode text is displaying where the "buy now" button is supposed to be.     I am using Eazfuscator.NET 3.0.41 to obfuscate a (VS 2010) WPF 4 application. After obfuscating, when I double click the exe file it's throwing an error message like this. "Description: The process was terminated due to an unhandled exception. Exception Info: System.Windows.Markup.XamlParseException" Is there a way I could enable some sort of a logging to check where it's going wrong ? How can I solve this problem? please advice

    hi, i have a blog application were Post belongsTo Category and Category hasMany Post Post can have a Category or not - in latter case NULL value is present in Post.category_id field. Now i would like to have following category count with single SQL query category|post_count -------------- PHP | 2 JavaScript | 4 SomeOtherCat | 1 NULL | 3 The clue here is that i also want to count posts without category (NULL row above). Is it posibble with one SQL query?
