  • Convert &euro; -> € in XUL

    I need to convert HTML special symbols to their appropriate Unicode values in my Firefox extension. I'm not dealing with HTML DOM, so can't use the trick with giving value to div and taking back. Also there are too many of them to convert manually. Thought Firefox has something to use. The converted text should go to XUL's description element on statusbar. Any idea how to accomplish this?

  • Magento Reindexing doesn't work

    I recently created around 700 attributes through script, all attributes look fine at backend. But when I reindex, I get following error: exception 'PDOException' with message 'SQLSTATE[42S22]: Column not found: 1054 Unknown column 'e.additional_information_s' in 'field list'' in /lib/Zend/Db/Statement/Pdo.php:228 Note: this attribtue exist in Database (eav_attribtue) table.   • App Engine List<String> DB adds chars before string?

    Hi, I have a field in my db which is a List. I add strings to that list and it works fine on the development server. This is the result: [mat12, bg10] When I do the same on the deploy server, this is the result: [u'mat12', u'bg10'] I don't understand why it adds "u' '" to the string.   • Ruby on Rails: create records for multiple models with one form and one submit

    I have a 3 models: quote, customer, and item. Each quote has one customer and one item. I would like to create a new quote, a new customer, and a new item in their respective tables when I press the submit button. I have looked at other questions and railscasts and either they don't work for my situation or I don't know how to implement them.     Say I have a dataframe df with two or more columns, is there an easy way to use unique() or other R function to create a subset of unique combinations of two or more columns? I know I can use sqldf() and write an easy "SELECT DISTINCT var1, var2, ... varN" query, but I am looking for an R way of doing this. It occurred to me to try ftable coerced to a dataframe and use the field names, but I also get the cross tabulations of combinations that don't exist in the dataset: uniques <- as.data.frame(ftable(df$var1, df$var2))

  • Authlogic: passwords saved in the DB are not working as expected.

    Hello everyone, Im having trouble with authlogic on my production server. Im able to update passwords in the database but when i try to validate a user using the new password, the validation fails. Please check the below console output. Notice how the salt and crypted_password fields get update before and after the new password is saved. The issue is only on my production server (running passenger).     Hi guys, Let's assume: $time = '2010-05-17 02:49:30' // (retrieved from MySQL TIMESTAMP field) How do I do the following in PHP: 1) Check if it has been more than one week since this time has passed? 2) Assuming "false" on (1), find out how much more time until the one week mark, rounded to days and hours remaining. I know this is pretty straightforward, but it uses a very specific syntax. Having never played with time calculations before, I'd appreciate some guidance. Thanks!

Should I use a separate database for each of these sites or use a single database with a 'site' field in each table?
