I'm currently finishing up testing a new Ruby on Rails app. Just recently, some of the pages do not seem to finish downloading in IE8. In FireFox, Chrome and Safari, everything works perfectly. The pages all validate successfully using the W3C validator.
When I view the page source in IE8, the page has been chopped off around 75% of the size it should be. IE8 claims the page is finished loading, and doesn't give any errors, but of course the page isn't rendering properly.
Has anyone seen this before? I'd really appreciate any help.

Basically the &ESPP_Info_URL variable takes in a url so that the code below looks like...

But when I click the url it just refreshes the page. Does anyone know how to get this to access the link within the window.open function?

I've seen lately a lot of discussions about this new concept called oocss and I was wondering if it is a bad practice to wrap your main tags in divs only for styling/page layout purposes.
I'm asking this because I see some frameworks like Twitter Bootstrap use such a method.
What are the implications of such a markup from a semantic and accessibility point of view?

I am dynamically creating forms dynamically according to a users actions. It is an entry-box and a two "buttons" for each instance. Each instance will be wrapped in a unique div tag.
What I tried to do without success is when I dynamically create the "button" I attach a function with the input variable containing the div of its instance. This a brief excerpt:

The problem appears to be in passing newDivClass to the the actual function.
When I load a page with Firebug I can see a list of all the images required by the site.
How can I automate finding a list of the image URLs used by a webpage, including those referenced in external CSS?

Is there a way to dynamically specify the URL being used in the external file (Meaning the URL is sort of automatically generated rather than hard-coded in the CSS file) ?

I have a page on the example.com domain which contains an IFrame, this IFrame loads an ASP.NET page (c#) from the example2.com domain.
From the code behind on the example2.com domain how can I get the URL of the master page?
Would it help if the 2 pages were on the same domain, so example.com contains an iframe with sub.example.com?

I have a classifieds website, and on the page where ads are showed, I am creating a "Send a tip to a friend" form...
So anybody who wants can send a tip of the ad to some friends email-adress.
I am guessing the form must be submitted to a php page right?

I've just turned my website into a responsive layout and along the way I've somehow managed to make my dropdown menus not work. When hovering over 'Drop-downs' they don't display unless I'm using position: relative. They worked before using position: absolute - but it seems they only work with position relative now. When using relative it uses the width which messes up the navigation bar.

I am getting a file "abc.txt" from server and dispaying it in a text area for editing.

The contents of the file are potentially large. The user will edit the textarea and add/delete text from any part(not just the end). I want to send ONLY the changes to the server for patching. How do I accomplish this?. Is there a javascript version of the popular linux command(diff). John Resig's diff code may not work as, for me, it will involve additional parsing on server side.
