  • F# function calling syntax confusion

    I have a piece of code: links |> Seq.map (fun x -> x.GetAttributeValue ("href", "no url")) Which I wanted to rewrite to: links |> Seq.map (fun x -> (x.GetAttributeValue "href" "no url")) But the F# compiler doesn't seem to like that. I was under the impression that these two function calls were interchangeable: f (a, b) (f a b) The error that I get is: The member or object constructor 'GetAttributeValue' taking 2 arguments are not accessible from this code location. All accessible versions of method 'GetAttributeValue' take 2 arguments. Which seems amusing, as it seems to indicate that it needs what I'm giving it. What am I missing here?

  • Calling a function in a JavaScript file with Selenium IDE

    So, I'm running these Selenium IDE tests against a site I'm working on. Everything about the tests themselves is running fine, except I would like to do a bit of clean-up once I'm done. In my MVC3 Razor based site, I have a JavaScript file with a function that gets a JsonResult from a Controller of mine. That Controller handles the database clean-up that Selenium IDE otherwise couldn't handle. However, I'm having a hard time finding any sort of documentation on how to do this. I know I can do JavaScript{ myJavascriptGoesHere } as one of the Values for a line in the test, but I can't seem to find a way to tell it to go find my clean-up function. Is it even possible for Selenium IDE to do this sort of thing? If it comes down to it, I can just make a separate View to handle the clean-up, but I'd really like to avoid that if possible. Thanks!

    Hi guys, I'm having a web game loaded in orkut application via iframe so there are the orkut iframe and mine iframe inside the xml. Everything is ok, but now I need to have a button for inviting some friends and wall posts from some features. I didn't find a way for including the orkut javascript in the game's code so the first thing that pops into my mind was to call a custom function in the xml by using: window.parent.myFunction(); but it gives me error: permission denied. I've tried some other ways of reaching that function but the error is the same. Does anybody know a way of doing that or this can't be done ?

    I am doing an integration with a support system (Helpstream) and I am currently working on doing some in-app context sensitive help. I have put in a link that will send the user to a section of Helpstream that will allow them to ask a question. Problem is, there are buttons on the page that call Javascript that will bring up a lightbox where the user fills out a form to submit a question. What I need to do is have that form come up after the user goes through the link, so essentially run the Javascript once the user hits the page. The call that I have to implement is NewTopic.CreateNew({type:"Question"}) Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

  • Fail to resolve a name when calling ConnMgrEstablishConnectionSync()

    Hi Guys, I'm trying to setup a GPRS connection with ConnMgrEstablishConnectionSync(), so far so good, the connection is established and if I try to connect to an IP address, everything works fine. Alas, when I try to resolve a name: ConnMgrEstablishConnectionSync(); ... gethostbyname("www.google.com"); The result is always an error: 0x00002af9 (host not found). Therefor I'm not able to resolve any name, but if I try to open a browser, the browser is able to resolve everything. Am I doing something wrong? Thanx for your help.

    I'm pretty sure it's possible to call a class and its member function dynamically in Delphi, but I can't quite seem to make it work. Clarification/Additional Information: What I'm trying to accomplish is to create a Change Notification system between business classes. Class A registers to be notified of changes in Class B, and the system stores a mapping of Class A - Class B. Then, when a Class B object changes, the system will call a A.Foo() to process the change. I'd like the notification system to not require any hard-coded classes if possible. There will always be a Foo() for any class that registers for notification. Maybe this can't be done or there's a completely different and better approach to my problem. By the way, this is not exactly an "Observer" design pattern because it's not dealing with objects in memory. Managing changes between related persistent data seems like a standard problem to be solved, but I've not found very much discussion about it. Again, any assistance would be greatly appreciated. I have a ROXML object that looks like: class Activity include ROXML xml_accessor :id end If I have an array of these objects and call .to_xml on the array, I receive an empty xml collection: "<?xml version=\"1.0\" encoding=\"UTF-8\"?>\n<activities type=\"array\">\n</activities>\n" Any idea why or how to fix this?
