    Hey all, I'm trying to use SubWCRev to get the current revision number of our SVN repository and put it in a file so I can show it in the UI. As I'm working with a Web App, I use the following post build command line: "SubWCRev.exe" "$(SolutionDir)." "$(ProjectDir)Content\js\revnumber.js.tpl" "$(ProjectDir)Content\js\revnumber.js" It works great, but now I want to make sure I have SubWCRev before running it, so I can skip this post build if a fellow developer is not running TortoiseSVN. I tried a few batch codes here, but couldn't figure this out. Any ideas? Thanks!

  • Are there any existing batch log file aggregation solutions?

    I wish to export from multiple nodes log files (in my case apache access and error logs) and aggregate that data in batch, as a scheduled job. I have seen multiple solutions that work with streaming data (i.e think scribe). I would like a tool that gives me the flexibility to define the destination. This requirement comes from the fact that I want to use HDFS as the destination. I have not been able to find a tool that supports this in batch. Before re-creating the wheel I wanted to ask the StackOverflow community for their input. If a solution exists already in python that would be even better.

    Say I define an abstract My::Object and concrete role implementations My::Object::TypeA and My::Object::TypeB. For maintainability reasons, I'd like to not have a hardcoded table that looks at the object type and applies roles. As a DWIMmy example, I'm looking for something along these lines in My::Object: has => 'id' (isa => 'Str', required => 1); sub BUILD { my $self = shift; my $type = $self->lookup_type(); ## Returns 'TypeB' {"My::Object::$type"}->meta->apply($self); } Letting me get a My::Object with My::Object::TypeB role applied by doing the following: my $obj = My::Object(id = 'foo') Is this going to do what I want or am I on the entirely wrong track? Edit: I simplified this too much; I don't want to have to know the type when I instantiate the object, I want the object to determine its type and apply the correct role's methods appropriately. I've edited my question to make this clearer.

    Hello, I am coding a simple space empire management game in Visual C# 2008, which relies on connecting to a remote SQL server database to get/store data. I would like the user to be able to connect to a user-specified SQL server from the login screen(he specifies IP address, port, database name, ID, password and presses "connect" button). However, I found out that the Dataset connection string property is read only and cannot be changed. Is there any way to guide the wizard-generated DataSet to a user-specified server at run time?     I am working with VB.NET.. i have a DataTable called "QUESTION", containing 3 fields: QuestionNumber (unique integer key) QuestionText QuestionType In my SQL Server database I created a Table called "QUESTION" with the same fields. QuestionNumber is defined as integer unique key, auto increment Now, when i make a bulk copy to insert the DataTable into the SQL Server, the database overwrites my QuestionNumber from the DataTable and generates new ones (starting from 1 increment 1). How do i have to change my database setup, that the original QuestionNumbers are copied into the database?

    I have this in activemq config <sslContext> <sslContext keyStore="file:/home/alex/work/amq/broker.ks" keyStorePassword="password" trustStore="file:${activemq.base}/conf/broker.ts" trustStorePassword="password"/> </sslContext> I have a pair of x509 cert and a key file How do I import those two to be used in ssl and ssl+stomp connectors? All examples i could google always generate the key themselves, but I already have a key. I have tried keytool -import -keystore ./broker.ks -file mycert.crt but this only imports the certificate and not the key file and results in 2009-05-25 13:16:24,270 [localhost:61612] ERROR TransportConnector - Could not accept connection : No available certificate or key corresponds to the SSL cipher suites which are enabled. I have tried concatenating the cert and the key but got the same result How do I import the key?

The application displays no data publicly (another words, you have to login to see anything). To gain access you have to create an account and even after you do, you cannot see anyone else's information as the applications filters using the current_user method and displays in the /posts/index.html.erb page. This would be great if a user only wanted to blog and share it with themselves, not really what I am looking for. My question has two parts (hopefully I won't make anyone mad by not putting these into two questions) Is it possible for a particular users data to live at www.myapplication.com/user without moving everything to the /user/show.html.erb file? Is it possible to make some of that information (living at the URL) public but still require login for create and destroy actions. Essentially, exactly like twitter. I am just curious if I can get from where I am (using the current_user methods across controllers to display in /posts/index.html.erb) to where I want to be. My fear is that I have to redesign the app such that the user data lives in the /user/show.html.erb page. Thoughts?

I wonder if there is something I can set in the vendored gem path to represent the /posts/index.html.erb code as the /user/id code and replace id with the user name.

    Hi all, I've got an svn repo with no trunk dir. I'd like to create the trunk and branches dirs, and move all my files (currently in the root) into trunk. Creating trunk works just fine: macbook[601] # svn mkdir trunk A trunk macbook[602] # svn commit trunk Adding trunk Committed revision 67. moving everything into trunk fails: macbook[604] # svn move * trunk svn: Cannot copy path 'trunk' into its own child 'trunk/trunk' is there a way to do this without giving it all the file and dir names individually? There are threads describing how to do this with TortoiseSVN, but i'd like to know the right way to do it with the svn commandline. Thanks.

    Hi, I'm absolutely confused with how to create the customized QTextDocument. I have the widget QWidget, which consists of some QLabels, QTableWidgets and QWidgets and I want to print it . I decided to create the new QTextDocument and insert in it all the defined widgets. I have already tried QTextCursor-insertBlock and insertText but my problem is how to define QTextBlockFormat or QTextCharFormat and say it, what is its "content", how to insert the widget in it.     Alright, so all modals already have an image at the top right to close them. How can I make additionally another anchor to do the same thing? I thought I could use the "closeClass" option which default to "simplemodal-close" and just add that class to an anchor, but it didn't have the desired effect. Is that what I'm supposed to do? Also, all modals will have a "contact us" link which should close it's own modal and open the contact modal. How can I wait until it is closed to open the next one?     Hi, If I already have domain classes, and I want to be able persist them using EF via a model first approach how do I do this? For example do I go to the EF designer (in VS2010) and create the model and generate the classes, then go to these EF classes and somehow manually modify them? But then would there be an issue if I needed to change the model and re-create database TSQL from the model for updates? What's the easiest approach?

  • How do I create an ImageView in java code, within an existing Layout?

    I'm looking for an easy way for the user to see how many drinks they've had for a BAC calculator. PICTURE OF THE APP, for reference On button press, I would like an image to be added to the screen, directly under the spinner and with left alignment. When I press the button again, I want another image to be added to the screen. So if I pressed the add beer button, a drawable of a beer would appear below the spinner. If I pressed the add beer button again, I want there to be TWO drawables of beers under the spinner, preferably with them being added from the right. (Also, having them reach their width limit, wrapping around, and starting again on the left, but below a full line, would be AWESOME) I can't figure out how to do this. I assume adding a ImageView in code to a relative layout (because it needs to be positioned to the right) would be the best route, but if it's possible in xml I'd be more than happy to use that. Any help?

    I've had the need for a multi-threaded data structure that supports these claims: Allows multiple concurrent readers and writers Is sorted Is easy to reason about Fulfilling multiple readers and one writer is a lot easier, but I really would wan't to allow multiple writers. I've been doing research into this area, and I'm aware of ConcurrentSkipList (by Lea based on work by Fraser and Harris) as it's implemented in Java SE 6. I've also implemented my own version of a concurrent Skip List based on A Provably Correct Scalable Concurrent Skip List by Herlihy, Lev, Luchangco and Shavit. These two implementations are developed by people that are light years smarter then me, but I still (somewhat ashamed, because it is amazing work) have to ask the question if these are the two only viable implementations of a concurrent multi reader/writer data structures available today?

  • Is there an XML XQuery interface to existing XML files?

    My company is in education industry and we use XML to store course content. We also store some course related information (mostly metainfo) in relational database. Right now we are in the process of switching from our proprietary XML Schema to DocBook 5. Along with the switch we want to move course related information from database to XML files. The reason for this is to have all course data in one place and to put it under Subversion. However, we would like to keep flexibility of the relational database and be able to easily extract specific information about a course from an XML document. XQuery seems to be up to the task so I was researching databases that supports it but so far could not find what I needed. What I basically want, is to have my XML files in a certain directory structure and then on top of this I would like to have a system that would index my files and let me select anything out of any file using XQuery. This way I can have "my cake and eat it too": I will have XQuery interface and still keep my files in plain text and versioned. Is there anything out there at least remotely resembling to what I want? If you think that what I an asking for is nonsense please make an alternative suggestion. On the related note: What XML Databases (preferably native and open source) do you have experience with and what would you recommend?
