  • Quicktime Audio Extraction for Compressed Movies

    Hi all, I am trying to extract audio from Quicktime Movie. I followed the steps in http://developer.apple.com/quicktime/audioextraction.html. It works fine.But When i try to extract any movies which is compressed(Audio is compressed as AAC), it gives a first chance exception.. In callstack it shows CoreAudioToolbox.dll... If is do continue it renders the audio without any issues. In Mac, this works without any issues. Is this really anything to worry about... I am a QT Beginner. Please help me My QT version is 7.6.7(1675) I am using Windows7

  • Using polyfit to predict where the object falls ?

    Hi there, I have information of an object being thrown at a parabolic pattern. There are 30 images in total taken at specific intervals from the start position till the end. Now I have managed to extract the x,y coordinates of the object being thrown in all 30 images... I think that using polyfit (or maybe polyval ? ) may help me predict where the object will fall after the first 15 images ... I just want to know, how can polyfit be used with the 30 x,y coordinates I have ? ( I have a loop to extract each image from a mat file 1 row at a time until 30 .. and then plot that image .. so should I use polyfit in the same loop before/after the plot ??? Any ideas ?? Thanks !

  • Why's a simple change to rt.jar causing the Java Runtime Environment to crash silently?

    This is what I'm doing: extract contents of my JRE's rt.jar extract src.zip of my JDK (same version) Now, if I copy Runtime.java from the extracted src folder and compile it using javac.exe without any modifications and then put it in the extracted rt folder to finally put everything back in a jar file using jar.exe, everything works as expected. The JRE runs fine. However, if I make the slightest change to Runtime.java and compile it and put it in rt.jar, the JRE crashes whenever I attempt to start it. This is an example of a slight change that causes the silent crash: /** Don't let anyone else instantiate this class */ private Runtime() { System.out.println("This is a test."); } Instead of: /** Don't let anyone else instantiate this class */ private Runtime() {} Could anyone tell me why this is causing my JRE to crash? Time 2. Sender 3. Recipient 4. Text Recipient may being defined or not, this field is optional. I do this by the following pattern: (?<message>(?<time>\d{1,2}:\d{1,2}:[0-9a-z]+)/>(?<messageData>(?<sender>.+?)\*>(.+?)))<< But, I cannot extract recipient separately from the message text. Unfortunately I never worked with php dom and I can't figure it out how to extract the values . I tried to follow the tutorial found on IBM website http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/library/os-xmldomphp/ but I had no success. Some help would be highly appreciated.

    I know that Mercurial can track renames of files, but how do I get it to show me renames instead of adds/removes when I do hg log? For instance, instead of: A bin/extract-csv-column.pl A bin/find-mirna-binding.pl A bin/xls2csv-separate-sheets.pl A lib/Text/CSV/Euclid.pm R src/extract-csv-column.pl R src/find-mirna-binding.pl R src/modules/Text/CSV/Euclid.pm R src/xls2csv-separate-sheets.pl I want some indication that four files have been moved. I think I read somewhere that the output is like this to preserve backward-compatibility with something-or-other, but I'm not worried about that.

  • Examining C/C++ Heap memory statistics in gdb

    I'm trying to investigate the state of the C/C++ heap from within gdb on Linux amd64, is there a nice way to do this? One approach I've tried is to "call mallinfo()" but unfortunately I can't then extract the values I want since gdb deal with the return value properly. I'm not easily able to write a function to be compiled into the binary for the process I am attached to, so I can simply implement my own function to extract the values by calling mallinfo() in my own code this way. Is there perhaps a clever trick that will allow me to do this on-the-fly? Another option could be to locate the heap and traverse the malloc headers / free list; I'd appreciate any pointers to where I could start in finding the location and layout of these. I've been trying to Google and read around the problem for about 2 hours and I've learnt some fascinating stuff but still not found what I need.

    I am trying to extract three segments from a string. As I am not particularly good with regular expressions, I think what I have done could probably be done better... I would like to extract the bold parts of the following string: SOMETEXT: ANYTHING_HERE (Old=ANYTHING_HERE, New=ANYTHING_HERE) Some examples could be: ABC: Some_Field (Old=,New=123) ABC: Some_Field (Old=ABCde,New=1234) ABC: Some_Field (Old=Hello World,New=Bye Bye World) So the above would return the following matches: $matches[0] = 'Some_Field'; $matches[1] = ''; $matches[2] = '123'; So far I have the following code: preg_match_all('/^([a-z]*\:(\s?)+)(.+)(\s?)+\(old=(.+)\,(\s?)+new=(.+)\)/i',$string,$matches); The issue with the above is that it returns a match for each separate segment of the string. I do not know how to ensure the string is the correct format using a regular expression without catching and storing the match if that makes sense? So, my question, if not already clear, how I can retrieve just the segments that I want from the above string?

  • How to validate Windows VC++ DLL on Unix systems

    I have a solution, mostly C#, but with a few VC++ projects, that is pushed through our standard release process (perl and bash scripts on Unix boxes). Currently the initiative is to validate DLL and EXE versions as they pass through the process. All the versioning is set so that File Version is of the format $Id: $ (between the colon and the second dollar should be a git commit hash), and the Product Version is of the format $Hudson Build: $ (between the colon and the second dollar should be a string representing the hudson build details). Currently this system works extremely well for the C# projects because this version information is stored as plain strings within the compiled code (you can literally use the unix strings command and see the version information); the problem is that the VC++ projects do not expose this information as strings (I have used a windows system to verify that the version information is correctly being set), so I'm not sure how to extract the version on a unix system. Any suggestions for either A) Getting a string representation of the version embedded in the compiled code, or B) A utility/script which can extract this information?

I can provide, say, a text file that lists each file and the target directory for it. Then I need help creating a batch file that will actually extract these files into their target locations.     I am currently working on kerberoes, and for now have this doubt on PAC in MS-KILE kerberoes extension. Can pac included in pactype strcuture withtin authorization data, is meant for client to decrypt and decode. It seems (if my understanding is correct), that PAC is encrypted with target server's encryption key, which is known only to kdc and target server, and therefore, client just needs to forward that to server when requesting a service, and isn't suppose to decrypt and extract details about its credentails. Is there a way to try to decrypt this on the fly? ( is there sufficient information available in AS-REP for me extract and decrypt this?

    Can I do WHERE operations on a calculated date field? I have a lookup field, which has been written badly in SQL and unfortunately I can't change it. But basically it stores dates as characters such as "July-2010" or "June-2009" (along with other non date data). I want to extract the dates first (which I did using a LIKE opertor) and then extract data based on a date range. SELECT BusinessUnit, Lookup, ReleaseDate FROM ( SELECT TOP 10 LookupColumn As Lookup, BU as BusinessUnit, CONVERT(DATETIME, REPLACE(LookupColumn,'-',' ')) as ReleaseDate FROM [dbo].[LookupTable] WHERE LookupColumn LIKE N'%-2010' ) MyTable ORDER BY ReleaseDate WHERE ReleaseDate = '2010-02-01' I'm having issues with WHERE operator. I would assume creating a subquery to encapsulate the calculated field would allow me to do operations with it such as WHERE but maybe I'm wrong. Bottom line is it possible to do operations on calculated fields?

    Hello, I am using the query builder from Visual Studio 2008 to extract data from an Access mdb ( 2003), but I can't make it to work with a datetime field. When I run it with a third party query app I have works fine, but when I try to implement it into visual studio I can't do it. What is the correct way to extract last month data?   • utf-8 convertion doesn't work always

    I searched into other stack before to type here and I didn't find anythong similar. I have to scrape different utf-8 webpages which contain text like "Oggi è una bellissima giornata" the problem is on the characther "è" I extract this text with jtidy and xpath query expression and I convert it with byte[] content = filteredEncodedString.getBytes("utf-8"); String result = new String(content,"utf-8"); where filteredEncodedString contains the text "Oggi è una bellissima giornata". This procedures works on the most webpages analyzed so far but in some case it doesn't extract a utf-8 string. Page encoding is always the same as the text is similar. Any ideas about the problem? thanks Marco

  • Combining the value of GetLastError and a custom error message

    I have a function that returns a different DWORD value for each case there is an error. So I have the following defines: #define ERR_NO_DB_CONNECTION 0x90000 #define ERR_DB_NOT_OPEN 0x90001 #define ERR_DB_LOCKED 0x90002 #define ERR_DB_CONN_LOST 0x90003 Now, I return those values when an error occurs. I need to also return the value of GetLastError in the same return. No, I can't read it later. I tried combining it different ways, eg: return ERR_DB_NOT_OPEN + GetLastError(); and then extract the error by subtracting the value of ERR_DB_NOT_OPEN but since I need to use this in functions where there can be several return values it can get quite complex to do that. Is there any way to achieve this? I mean, combine the value + GetLastError and extract them later? Code is appreciated. Thanks Jess.
