  • How well are SVG filter elements defined?

    We are considering using SVG filters as part of our toolchain, serving the SVG to browsers capable of supporting it, while serving pre-rendered PNGs to other. One problem we noticed is that the rendering of the filter chains seems to be very inconsistent across renderers. When looking at the "filters01" example from the SVG specification, the rendering looks very different across the tools we tried. Chrome (5.0.307.11) failed to render the image, while other tools (Firefox 3.6, Opera 10.10, Inkscape 0.47, GIMP 2.6.7) render something vaguely similar in style to the picture in the specification, but no two are truly the same. Is that an issue of under-specification or are the tools just not there? If we would use SVG with filter effects: is there a reference tool that can give us a rendering the way it is intended by the spec?

  • Is it possible to remove constant "beep" sound from recording?

    Whenever I record with my microphone, I get this constant beep sound on the background. It appears only when I turn volume up, so it is not very loud, but its noticable and pretty annoying. Because it is constant sound, I thought it should be possible to filter just that one frequency, but I have absolutely no idea how to do it.

  • Intel Rapid Storage / Smart Response SSD caching issue

    Background Recently built my own PC. It works! Almost. It's been a while since getting into the guts of these things, so I'm familiar but may be missing something simple. FYI, I don't care about blowing the OS away -- it's brand new and we can go back from scratch as many times as necessary. Goal / Issue I'd like to use the SSD to take advantage of Intel's Smart Response technology (allows the SSD to act as a cache for HDDs) I would like the SSD cache to act as a cache for my HDDs, which I would like to be in a RAID1 array (so I get the speed from the SSD and the redundancy from the RAID1) However, Windows only sees the drive in device manager (not as a drive), so I'm unsure what to do about that. Related: as far as I know, for this to work, the drives all have to be in a single RAID array (i.e. a RAID0 pairing of the SSD and the RAID1 HDD array). However, when attempting this at the BIOS level, I am told there is not enough space for an array. Steps so Far Moved the SSD onto the Intel controller (I'd had it on the Marvel 6.0 controller instead of the Intel controller, so the BIOS was only seeing it in a strange way) Updated the BIOS of the motherboard to the latest version Reinstalled Intel's RST (iRST?) software several times, as some forums reported it working after reinstalling 3 times (which does not inspire confidence). Checked Intel storage: it does see the SSD as a physical, non-RAID device. However, it says no space exists if I try to create an array. Checked the BIOS: it does not show up in the boot order, but is an option that can be selected under boot options. Tried the firmware update for that model. Issue: the firmware CD doesn't detect a drive; maybe the Intel storage controller is making it difficult? moved the ssd to the marvel controller. The firmware update cd appeared to hang while searching for drives. swapped out the SATA cable for the manufacturer's and moved back to the intel storage controller. Noticed at this point that in the Intel RST software, a device DOES show up in addition to the RAID set -- only shown as a "60 GB internal disk". Windows doesn't appear to see it as a drive, but it does still show in device manager. Move SSD to port from 0-3 on MOBO and set SATA mode to IDE (after disconnecting RAID1 config) to allow the firmware update to work. Firmware was already at the latest version. Next Steps ?     Hello all I am working in Flex. I have an arraycollection which is used to fill a tilelist with images. I am using filter method of arraycollection to filter out certain images from tilelist based on a selected value from combobox. The issue is that when the images are filtered out they just vanish suddenly. But I want to give some effect to them when they are filtered out, say slow fade effect or zoom effect. I tried removedEffect, hideEffect etc. but in vain. Can anyone please help me out. thanks.

    What I want to do: The report parameter that the user can select from is a subset of the data available in a dimension. I have a query to retrieve this subset and it works fine. I am then trying to use the selection as a filter in a dataset. In the dataset properties, you can add a parameter based on the ones you have specified on the report, but when you look in the filters pane, there seems to be no way to select this. If I try and select something in there, it creates a whole new parameter and dataset. How can I get a dataset to consume and filter by a parameter that the user has selected?

    I have a mailbox that receives bounces as well as normal email (the latter includes messages from automated services). I want to filter out the bounces and forward them to another mailbox. Assume I cannot change the envelope return path in email I send. Is “null return path” a reliable criterion to tell bounces from normal mail? Roughly how many false positives and false negatives can I expect if I apply it?

    Hi, in Drupal I have used CCK to add a datetime field to my custom data type. It inserts start date and end date fields. That is what I want. Now, I want Views to filter and show only the items that have the daterange (start date and end date) overlapping today's date. Any ideas on how to set it up on Views? What I think is strange is that the date fields of my custom content type don't seem to appear on the Views list when I am trying to add a filter. Thanks.

    I have a table (that relates to a number of other tables) where I would like to filter ONE of the columns (RequesterID) - that column will be a combobox where only people that are not sales people should be selectable. Here is the "unfiltered" query, lets call it QUERY 1: SELECT RequestsID, RequesterID, ProductsID FROM dbo.Requests If using a separate query, lets call it QUERY 2, to filter RequesterID (which is a People related column, connected to People.PeopleID), it would look like this: SELECT People.PeopleID FROM People INNER JOIN Roles ON People.RolesID = Roles.RolesID INNER JOIN Requests ON People.PeopleID = Requests.RequesterID WHERE (Roles.Role <> N'SalesGuy') ORDER BY Requests.RequestsID Now, is there a way of "merging" the QUERY 2 into QUERY 1? (dbo.Requests in QUERY 1 has RequesterID populated as a Foreign Key from dbo.People, so no problem there... The connections are all right, just not know how to write the SQL query!)

    I got a HttpResponse.Filter filter that replaces text in the HTML. I've created a class that derives from Stream and implemented the Write method: public override void Write(byte[] buffer, int offset, int count) I read all bytes from buffer and store them in a private StringBuilder, then I replace the text, and write the string back to the Stream. But how can I determine when the stream is at the end of the stream. I.e. how do I determine when to write back the html (string) to the stream?

I was attempting to simply redirect the page to the HTTPS version if it determined that HTTPS was off, but instead it's displaying an HTML page rather than actually redirecting; and even odder, it's displaying it as text/plain! I wanted to filter the rows to get only the minimum number in the second column. This fixed it: SELECT id, min((tbl2.date_modified - tbl1.date_submitted)/86400), max(some_value) FROM tbl1, tbl2, tbl3 WHERE tbl1.id = tbl2.fid AND tbl1.id = tbl3.fid GROUP BY tbl1.id so I got: 275 72.87368055555555555555555555555555555556 foo 70 113 77.06431712962962962962962962962962962963 foo 80 How can I change it to do the same but not include rows where the are other rows with some_value=90 ?   • Java Security filter together with thickbox pop-ups

    Hi, I have a java application that uses a security filter to protect certain resources. If there is no user logged on, it will keep in session the request path and redirect to a logon page. After a successful logon, user is redirected to the original requested page. I have now added some thickbox (ajax bases pop-up) popups to the application. Unfortunately, when I get now a popup that is "secure" the filter redirects to a logon page (which is not a popup) and makes the whole application messy. Anyone with ideas on how to solve this? Thanks

    I have a Cursor that returns rows I use with a SimpleCursorAdapter to populate a ListView. I would like to filter some of the rows so they don't get displayed in my ListView. I use the data from the rows elsewhere in my Activity so I don't want to change my SQL to filter them with a WHERE clause. What is the best way to keep a row from being displaying in my ListView? Ideally I would check a column in my row and then only add rows to the ListView that satisfy a condition.

There are a lot of teams, but Stats are just managed for my Club. So if I use "list_display" in the admin backend, I'd like to modify/overwrite the queryset which builds the sidebar for filtering, to just display our home teams as a filter option. Is this somehow possible in Django? I already made a custom form like this class SeasonPlayerStatsAdminForm(forms.ModelForm): team = forms.ModelChoiceField(Team.objects.filter(club__home=True)) So now just the filtering is missing. Any ideas?

  • Problem with input filter using doxygen 1.6.3 on windows XP

    I am trying to use doxygen to generate documentation for some matlab classes I have written. I am using the doxygen-matlab package, which includes a perl script to kludge matlab .m files into c++ style commented files, so that doxygen can read them. In my doxyfile, I have set (according to the instructions) FILTER_PATTERNS = *m=C:/doxygenMatlab/m2cpp.pl However, when the code runs, rather than running the script on the input files, it appears to just open the script using whatever the default windows setting for .pl is. IE, if I associate .pl with notepad, the script is opened by notepad once for each input file doxygen is trying to parse. If I associate .pl with perl.exe, the script runs and throws the no argument error Argument must contain filename -1 at C:\doxygenMatlab\m2cpp.pl line 4. The doxygen documentation says Doxygen will invoke the filter program by executing (via popen()) the command <filter> <input-file> So I am wondering if there is some problem with popen() and windows that I could fix.

    Senario: Open an account in CRM 2011 beta and click on activities on the left navigation pane, you will now see activities of the selected account and now have two filter drop down lists on the top which allow you to view activities of the account or sub accounts of this account. Is this filter drop downs something customizable or is it a feature only available for system entities (like acitivity)? Is this functionality provided because Activity entity have N:1 relationship with Type of Behavior = System? can we provide the same or similar functionality by using Type of behavior = Parental!?!?     Hello: I have two tables with a column 'date'. One holds (name, date) and the other holds (date, p1, p2). Given a name, I want to use the date in table 1 to query p1 and p2 from table two; the match should happen if date in table one is within two seconds of date in table two. How can you accomplish this using SQLAlchemy? I've tried (unsuccessfully) to use the between operator and with a clause like: td = datetime.timedelta(seconds=2) q = session.query(table1, table2).filter(table1.name=='my_name').\ filter(between(table1.date, table2.date - td, table2.date + td)) Any thoughts?

  • Dreamweaver recordset filter - Display all records as default

    I am trying to create a simple search form to filter the results in the dynamic table. The search form is on the same pages as the results and posts to itself. I get the search string from the post variable. It is working, but I can't figure out how to set the default value to display all results. Dreamweaver automatically sets the default value to -1, and therefore no results are displayed on the initial load. How do I change this to display ALL records as default and the filter only if there is search string defined.
