Keep permalinks in Wordpress

Is there any way to set my permalinks to keep their exact link. If I have a post like this one http://blog.rigo.ro/?p=11, then I would like that every time I edit the post to keep this link. I have installed the Revision Control plugin and I set it to do not keep revisions. Any ideea how to do this? I want to keep this format of links. Edit: I took a look again, the permalinks keep their links, but every time I edit it adds a new version to the database and the next post will have a higher number. If I edit my current post for 3 times (blog.rigo.ro/?p=11) the next post will be blog.rigo.ro/?p=14. Now, my question is how can I keep all my post and edits clean, one post/more edits = one entry in the database, so if I have. 10 post on my site and I edit them, I would like that my permalinks to be from 1 to 10. PS: I don't want to edit my database manually, is there any plugin to do this?

Enable SSL with Jetty 8

Creating a Jenkins build farm in a hands-off manner?

My colleague and I have set up and run Jenkins on a KVM guest running Ubuntu 12.04 with good results for a while now. We are thinking about deploying a cluster of Jenkins CI hosts in master/slave configuration, with the libvirt slave plugin to keep our hardware count low. Our environment is strictly Linux (CentOS, Scientific Linux, Fedora, and Ubuntu). Both of us are competent in setting up large clusters. We typically use tools like cobbler + a configuration management tool (Puppet, Chef, and alike) to set up a large number of machines (physical and/or virtual) hands off (hundreds of nodes in less than an hour typical). We would like to do the same for nodes running Jenkins. But the step by step guide doesn't give us any clues in this regard. I did see a Multi-slave config plugin. But, being used to dealing with hundreds or more machines completely hands-off, clicking the UI for many machines just doesn't feel right. Can someone point to us a reference that talks about how to set up large cluster of Jenkins CI hosts more in the hands-off way?

Vim: How to Install Airline?

I'm just getting started with Vim. It's a fun experience, but I've found it to be kind of overwhelming. I'm trying to get this plugin installed, vim-airline, but I'm having a lot of trouble. The Installation section on the Github page simply states: copy all of the files into your ~/.vim directory Presumably, this means download the .zip, extract it, and copy all of those files into ~/.vim/. I did this, but Vim just starts up like normal, and running :help airline just gives: Sorry, no help for airline I assume that this means it isn't getting installed. Also, the statusbar remains the same. I'm new to Vim and would really like to get this working. Thanks in advance! EDIT: I also tried putting the files into /usr/share/vim/vim73/. No dice. EDIT 2: I ran :helptags ~/.vim/doc and now the help-page displays when I type :help airline, but I'm still not getting the plugin itself (the status bar). Vim looks the same, but it can now display the help page.

Xubuntu stuck after login

How can I debug an issue with Xubuntu 12.04 (fresh install) which just waits idle after a login for about 30 seconds? The login screen is delayed correctly. After login, I get my desktop background, but no panels or auto-starting apps. It doesn't seem to be an authentication/pam issue, because I can login without delay at the console while the graphical session is still stuck. There's no disk or cpu activity and no obvious respawning of any process when I look at htop. There's nothing obviously wrong in .xsession-errors. RabbitMQ Management console not working

I have started with RabbitMQ. I have a (windows) machine on which I installed two RabbitMQ nodes as a service - I have choose the nodename, port and service name for each of them. The services are running normally (i see that they are listening in a netstat-a). I have also installed management plugin with "rabbitmq-plugins enable rabbitmq_management" and restarted both services. But the plugin isn't running - I dont see it listening in a netstat and I can't connect to the management console via browser. Any idea what could be wrong? Is there any log to see what is goind on? Can't reach server without proxy (website down from my home)

I have a website hosted on Hostinger However I am experiencing problems with my wordpress site. This is really annoying. If I understood the situation right, The server is blocking me or denying access to my own website. When I visit the site with google chrome, it returns: Oops! Google Chrome could not find Same thing happens to firefox! Firefox can't find the server but when I do a check if my site is online and working through http://www.downforeveryoneorjustme.com/ it says that the site is working and up. Another thing, I access the website through a proxy, both on chrome and in firefox, and t works. Why is this? I have also recently installed the plugin Better Wp Security 5 days ago. Could the plugin have caused it? but I don't remember setting any IP's to be blocked. Also, this happens at random times, sometimes I can access it, sometimes it fails to reach the server. I am currently developing the site live. Was I blocked by the server for frequently refreshing the page? (duh, I'm a developer and I need to refresh to see changes.) or is this a problem with my ISP's DNS server? How can I resolve? and what are the possible fixes? Thanks in advance! -Jomar

Nginx and 1000 WordPress Installs - Optimization

Hey, I'm trying to create a rather unusual (imo) configuration where I have: nginx php-fastcgi mysql 1000 seperate WordPress installs (with WP Super Cache). Each WP install corresponds to a seperate subdomain. Furthermore, I have 1000 cron jobs being called every hour that in turn call a WP plugin (using wget) which retrieves data from an API and posts it to the respective blog. This is all being run on a virtual server with 1024MB of RAM, 4 shared processors, etc. The server is not doing well, especially during the times that the cron jobs are being executed. Nginx constantly throws 504 errors and the site has a significant lag. 1) Am I crazy for having 1000 individual WP installs? Should I be using WP-MU and will this help significantly? (I have certain plugin restrictions that I prefer having seperate installs but could switch if need be.) 2) Instead of having 1000 unique cron jobs - should be calling say a bash script that will then process the 1000 HTTP requests I need? Could this be done in a succesive order instead of a sequential one? 3) Any other kind of suggestion you may have for optimization? Should I be proxying to Apache instead of just using nginx, etc. Any kind of advice would be appreciated. Thanks in advance

MySQL InnoDB/socket issue on Mac OS X 10.6.4

I have an ongoing issue on my Macbook Pro OS X 10.6.4. Intermittently, my MySQL install will not create a socket on startup. Rebooting sometimes, but not always, solves the problem. Deleting the ib* files in /usr/local/mysql/data and then restarting sometimes, but not always, solves the problem. My error logs tell me the following: Plugin InnoDB init function returned error Plugin InnoDB registration as a STORAGE ENGINE failed Can't start server: Bind on TCP/IP port: Address already in use Do you already have another mysqld server running on port: 3306? Aborting It then appears to attempt to start again and generates this error 20 - 30 times: Unable to lock ./ibdata1, error 35 Check that you do not already have another mysqld process using the same InnoDB data or log files Though the socket file is not created, I can connect to my MySQL db directly over localhost. Although, this does not help me from a PHP standpoint. Any thoughts on what I can do to resolve the issue or debug further? I'm at a loss as to where to go from here.

Maven Error - Expected START_TAG or END_TAG not TEXT

I am setting up a spring mvc web application + hibernate jpa + maven from scratch using Eclipse Indigo. I am stuck in this error when doing a Maven build. Memory leak involving jQuery Ajax requests

I have a webpage that's leaking memory in both IE8 and Firefox; the memory usage displayed in the Windows Process Explorer just keeps growing over time. The following page requests the "unplanned.json" url, which is a static file that never changes (though I do set my Cache-control HTTP header to no-cache to make sure that the Ajax request always goes through). When it gets the results, it clears out an HTML table, loops over the json array it got back from the server, and dynamically adds a row to an HTML table for each entry in the array. Then it waits 2 seconds and repeats this process. So you can't give it a query like `$("#content tbody tr")` and expect it to remove all of the elements you've specified. Any element that you remove with it must have an `id` attribute. So if I want to remove my `tbody`, then I must assign an `id` to my `tbody` tag or else it will give an error. It removes the element itself and all of its descendants, so if you simply want to empty that element then you'll have to re-create it afterwards (or modify the plugin to empty instead of remove). So here's my page above modified to use Toran's plugin. For the sake of simplicity I didn't apply any of the general performance advice offered by Peter. Producer and Consumer Threads Hang

So this is my first foray into threads and thus far it is driving me insane. My problem seems to be some kind of synchronization error that causes my consumer thread to hang. I've looked at other code and just about everything I could find and I can't find what my error is. There also seems to be a discrepancy between the code being executed in Eclipse and via javac in the command line. Intention - Using a bounded buffer (with 1000 slots) create and consume 1,000,000 doubles. Use only notify and wait. Problem - In Eclipse the consumer thread will occasionally hang around 940,000 iterations, but other times completes. In the command line the consumer thread always hangs. Output - Eclipse - Successful Producer has produced 100000 doubles. Consumer has consumed 100000 doubles. Producer has produced 200000 doubles. Consumer has consumed 200000 doubles. I have added a new step in my job activity monitor which runs ssis package(encrepted with password). dtexec /f "\\sw-conf-dev-01\projects\dtsx\Email.dtsx" /de "ssispassword" error message: Description: The package is encrypted with a password. The password was not specified, or is not correct. End Error Could not load package "\sw-conf-dev-01\projects\dtsx\Email.dtsx" because of error 0xC0014037. Description: Failed to remove package protection with error 0xC0014037 "The package is encrypted with a password. The password was not specified, or is not correct.". This occurs in the CPackage::LoadFromXML method I have used the same password in the package as well, but i don't know why I'm still getting an error message. Any ideas?

How to prevent Android bluetooth RFCOMM connection from dying immediately after .connect()?

I'm trying to connect to a Zeemote (http://zeemote.com/) gaming controller from Moto Droid running 2.0.1 firmware. The test application below does connect to the device (LED flashes) but connection is dropped immediately after that. I can connect to the device perfectly fine using bluez tools (log attached as well). I'm quite at a loss here, I work on it for so long that I ran out of ideas so any help would be very much appreciated. Why isn't the Spring AOP XML schema properly loaded when Tomcat loads & reads beans.xml

I'm trying to use Spring's Schema Based AOP Support in Eclipse and am getting errors when trying to load the configuration in Tomcat. There are no errors in Eclipse and auto-complete works correctly for the aop namespace, however when I try to load the project into eclipse I get this error: 09:17:59,515 WARN XmlBeanDefinitionReader:47 - Ignored XML validation warning org.xml.sax.SAXParseException: schema_reference.4: Failed to read schema document 'http://www.springframework.org/schema/aop/spring-aop-2.5.xsd', because 1) could not find the document; 2) the document could not be read; 3) the root element of the document is not . Installing Paperclip - "undefined method `has_attached_file` for" - Ruby on Rails

I just installed the plugin for Paperclip and I am getting an error message "undefined method has_attached_file for. Not sure why I am getting this. Here is the full error message. NoMethodError (undefined method `has_attached_file' for #<Class:0x10338acd0>): /Users/bgadoci/.gem/ruby/1.8/gems/will_paginate-2.3.12/lib/will_paginate/finder.rb:170:in `method_missing' app/models/post.rb:2 app/controllers/posts_controller.rb:50:in `show' For some reason it is referencing the will_paginate gem. From what I can find, it seems that either there is something wrong w/ my PostsController#index or perhaps a previously attempt at installing the gem instead of the plugin (in which case I have read I should be able to remedy through the /config/environments.rb file somehow). I didn't think that previous gem installation would matter as I did it in an old version of the site that I trashed before installing the plugin. In the current version of the site I show that the Table has been updated with the Paperclip columns after migration. Entity Framework 4 POCO entities in separate assembly, Dynamic Data Website?

Basically I want to use a dynamic data website to maintain data in an EF4 model where the entities are in their own assembly. Model and context are in another assembly. Visual studio 2010 remote debugging is very slow (across domains, over vpn)

Overall debugging works, but each step through code takes dosens of seconds. I've already closed all additional windows like stack trace,watches,autos; deleted all breakpoints. server and dev machine are located in different domains, so i set up local user on both, with matching password. remote debugger is running as service. looking at security log, I found quite a lot of entries about remote debugging account logging in (record about every minute). Any suggestions on how i can speed up remote debugging? dev computer: quad core, 8 Gb mem, win 7 x64 , visual studio 2010 ultimate target server: asp.net website , 2xdual core xeon, 2Gb mem, remote debugger 2010 communication channel: vpn , 5 mbit , latency about 20ms. (seems that debbugging never uses more than 20 kb/s)
