can't persist entities on app engine using jpa

drawPosText(char[] text, int index, int count, float[] pos, Paint paint) Draw the text in the array, with each character's origin specified by the pos array. Does anyone know where exactly does drawPosText consider the "origin" to be, since you are specifying "origin" as coordinate pairs; i.e., is it bottom-left of character, center, what? Also how does drawPosText calculate character height when it draws?

PHP Templated site w/ file_get_content links

Ok so i have a template script my friend built for me. I'll include all file names OK so what is not working is file_get_contents is not grabing the content (1 I don't know where the content should be placed and 2 i want it placed in a directory so that IF i change the template the area where content stays is the same. Where has XamlPad gone in .NET 4.0 / Windows SDK v7.1 / Visual Studio 2010?

I can't find XamlPad anywhere after I installed .NET 4.0 / Visual Studio 2010 and Windows 7 SDK - v7.1. I tried searching C:\Program Files\Microsoft SDKs\Windows\v7.1\bin and did a dir /s xamlpad.exe to see if the Windows Index service didn't get to that folder yet. And it's not under Start Menu - All Programs - Windows SDK v7.1 -- Tools. Where has it gone? Did MS deprecate it? Thanks

Problem with Marshalling char* in c#

I have a problem calling this function from a c++ DLL in c# INT32 WINAPI PM_COM_GetText(INT32 TextId, char* pBuf, INT32 BufSize); It writes a Text in a buffer for a given text id. Where are Riak Post-Commit Hooks run?

I'm trying to evaluate using Riak's Post-Commit Hooks to build a distributed, incremental MapReduce-based index, but was wondering which Riak nodes the Post-Commit Hooks actually run on. Are they run on the nodes the client used to put the commits, or on the primary nodes where the data is persisted? If it's the latter, I'm thinking I can from there efficiently do a map or reduce and put additional records from the output.

Primitive types are not allowed in ArrayList, source. Partial solution: you can wrap prim.types such as int to Integer to form an extra class but a side effect. I want to index data, is there some substitute for ArrayList that allows primitive types?

MSSQL 2008 FTS CONTAINSTABLE Not Returning More Than Five Rows

I have a single table called "Indexes", it contains one nvarchar and three ntext columns (all Full Text Indexes). Index is up to date. CONTAINSTABLE(Indexes, *), 'test', 5) //5 results No matter what I change the above keyword too, it only returns the first 3-5 results. It should roughly return 90-120 results, for the above query. SELECT count(*) FROM Indexes WHERE [Description] like '%test%' //122 results How would I start to troubleshoot this problem?

Hi everyone. This post is incorrectly tagged 'send' since I cannot create new tags. I have a very basic question about this simple echo server. Here are some code snippets. client while True: data = raw_input("Enter data: ") mySock.sendall(data) echoedData = mySock.recv(1024) if not echoedData: break print echoedData server while True: print "Waiting for connection" (clientSock, address) = serverSock.accept() print "Entering read loop" while True: print "Waiting for data" data = clientSock.recv(1024) if not data: break clientSock.send(data) clientSock.close() Now this works alright, except when the client sends an empty string (by hitting the return key in response to "enter data: "), in which case I see some deadlock-ish behavior. Now, what exactly happens when the user presses return on the client side? I can only imagine that the sendall call blocks waiting for some data to be added to the send buffer, causing the recv call to block in turn. What's going on here? Thanks for reading!

I am porting some functionality from a C++ application to java. This involves reading non-modifiable data files that contain regular expressions. A lot of the data files contain regular expressions that look similar to the following: (?<=id="VIEWSTATE".*?value=").*?(?=") These regular expressions produce the following error: "Look-behind group does not have an obvious maximum length near index XX" In C++ the engine being used supported these expressions. Is there another form of regexp that can produce the same result that can be generated using expressions like my example as input?

Python Bitstream implementations

I am writing a huffman implementation in Python as a learning exercise. I have got to the point of writing out my variable length huffman codes to a buffer (or file). Only to find there does not seem to be a bitstream class implemented by Python! I have had a look at the array and struct modules but they do not seem to do what I need without extra work. A bit of goggling turned up this bitstream implementation, which is more like what I am wanting. Is there really no comparable bitstream class in the Python standard library?

Getting XML data from a external page and parsing it with PHP

I'm trying to create a database of World of Warcraft gems. Why is a fixed size buffers (arrays) must be unsafe?

Let's say I want to have a value type of 7 bytes (or 3 or 777). I can define it like that: public struct Buffer71 { public byte b0; public byte b1; public byte b2; public byte b3; public byte b4; public byte b5; public byte b6; } A simpler way to define it is using a fixed buffer public struct Buffer72 { public unsafe fixed byte bs[7]; } Of course the second definition is simpler. The problem lies with the unsafe keyword that must be provided for fixed buffers. I understand that this is implemented using pointers and hence unsafe. My question is why does it have to be unsafe? Why can't C# provide arbitrary constant length arrays and keep them as a value type instead of making it a C# reference type array or unsafe buffers?

Customized listfield with image displaying from a url

I am displaying a customized list field with text on the right side and image on the left side.The image comes from a URL dynamically.Initially i am placing a blank image on the left of the list field,then call URLBitmapField class's setURL method,which actually does the processing and places the processed image on top of the blank image.The image gets displayed on the list field,but to see that processed image i need to press any key or click on the list field items.I want the processed image to be displayed automatically in the list field after the processing.Can anyone tell me where i am getting wrong? From what I can tell Lucene.NET is a good full text search framework. I've found very few examples of how to use it though. Can anyone post some good references for learning about Lucene?

Thread safe lockfree mutual ByteArray queue

A byte stream should be transferred and there is one producer thread and a consumer one. Speed of producer is higher than consumer most of the time, and I need enough buffered data for QoS of my application. I read about my problem and there are solutions like shared buffer, PipeStream .NET class ... This class is going to be instantiated many times on server so I need and optimized solution. Is it good idea to use a Queue of ByteArray ? If yes, I'll use an optimization algorithm to guess the Queue size and each ByteArray capacity and theoretically it fits my case. If no, I what's the best approach ? Please let me know if there's a good lock free thread safe implementation of ByteArray Queue in C# or VB. Thanks in advance

Pipe less to emacs

When viewing piped output to Less, sometimes I'd like to be able to view it in Emacs in order to get syntax highlighting and use emacs commands for searching, marking, copying, etc. I see that Less has a v command that can be used to open the currently viewed file in $EDITOR. Unfortunately this doesn't work when viewing piped input. Also, I don't know how to get Emacs to display stdin as a read-only document. So, is it possible to set up Less with something like v but that pumps the current buffer into Emacs as a read-only file? Thanks.
