  • GroupLayout: JScrollPane in TextArea is not working

    - by Dozent
    i'm new in java and recently started to develop an simple application. For the moment i have a problem with JScrollPanne, it's not able to scroll down (or up) when the text in textarea more than size of area. I have looked to some solutions, but all of them were for FlowLayot (GridLayout and BoxLayout), but not for GroupLayout. Here is the code: JPanel conent_p = new JPanel(); conent_p.setBorder(new TitledBorder(null, "", TitledBorder.LEADING, TitledBorder.TOP, null, null)); JLabel lblItemName = new JLabel("Item name:"); itemField = new JTextField(); itemField.setColumns(10); JLabel lblMxPrice = new JLabel("Max price:"); mpriceField = new JTextField(); mpriceField.setColumns(10); JLabel lblQuantity = new JLabel("Quantity:"); quanField = new JTextField(); quanField.setColumns(10); JLabel lblDelivery = new JLabel("Delivery:"); delivField = new JTextField(); delivField.setColumns(10); JLabel lblLogcat = new JLabel("LogCat:"); final JTextArea txtConsole = new JTextArea(); txtConsole.setEditable(false); txtConsole.setLineWrap(true); txtConsole.setWrapStyleWord(true); sbrText = new JScrollPane(txtConsole); sbrText.setVerticalScrollBarPolicy(JScrollPane.VERTICAL_SCROLLBAR_ALWAYS); // Now create a new TextAreaOutputStream to write to our JTextArea control and wrap a // PrintStream around it to support the println/printf methods. PrintStream out = new PrintStream(new TextAreaOutputStream(txtConsole)); // redirect standard output stream to the TextAreaOutputStream System.setOut(out); // redirect standard error stream to the TextAreaOutputStream System.setErr(out); GroupLayout gl_conent_p = new GroupLayout(conent_p); gl_conent_p.setHorizontalGroup( gl_conent_p.createParallelGroup(Alignment.LEADING) .addGroup(gl_conent_p.createSequentialGroup() .addContainerGap() .addGroup(gl_conent_p.createParallelGroup(Alignment.LEADING) .addComponent(lblMxPrice, Alignment.TRAILING) .addComponent(lblItemName, Alignment.TRAILING) .addComponent(lblLogcat, Alignment.TRAILING)) .addGap(18) .addGroup(gl_conent_p.createParallelGroup(Alignment.LEADING) .addGroup(gl_conent_p.createSequentialGroup() .addGroup(gl_conent_p.createParallelGroup(Alignment.LEADING, false) .addComponent(itemField, GroupLayout.PREFERRED_SIZE, 365, GroupLayout.PREFERRED_SIZE) .addGroup(gl_conent_p.createSequentialGroup() .addComponent(mpriceField, GroupLayout.PREFERRED_SIZE, 80, GroupLayout.PREFERRED_SIZE) .addGap(18) .addComponent(lblQuantity) .addPreferredGap(ComponentPlacement.RELATED) .addComponent(quanField, 0, 0, Short.MAX_VALUE) .addGap(18) .addComponent(lblDelivery) .addPreferredGap(ComponentPlacement.RELATED) .addComponent(delivField, GroupLayout.PREFERRED_SIZE, 80, GroupLayout.PREFERRED_SIZE) .addPreferredGap(ComponentPlacement.RELATED))) .addGap(100)) .addGroup(gl_conent_p.createSequentialGroup() .addComponent(txtConsole, GroupLayout.PREFERRED_SIZE, 345, GroupLayout.PREFERRED_SIZE) .addComponent(sbrText) .addContainerGap()))) ); gl_conent_p.setVerticalGroup( gl_conent_p.createParallelGroup(Alignment.LEADING) .addGroup(gl_conent_p.createSequentialGroup() .addContainerGap() .addGroup(gl_conent_p.createParallelGroup(Alignment.BASELINE) .addComponent(lblItemName) .addComponent(itemField, GroupLayout.PREFERRED_SIZE, 20, GroupLayout.PREFERRED_SIZE)) .addGap(20) .addGroup(gl_conent_p.createParallelGroup(Alignment.LEADING) .addGroup(gl_conent_p.createParallelGroup(Alignment.BASELINE) .addComponent(lblDelivery) .addComponent(delivField, GroupLayout.PREFERRED_SIZE, GroupLayout.DEFAULT_SIZE, GroupLayout.PREFERRED_SIZE)) .addGroup(gl_conent_p.createParallelGroup(Alignment.BASELINE) .addComponent(lblMxPrice) .addComponent(mpriceField, GroupLayout.PREFERRED_SIZE, GroupLayout.DEFAULT_SIZE, GroupLayout.PREFERRED_SIZE) .addComponent(lblQuantity) .addComponent(quanField, GroupLayout.PREFERRED_SIZE, GroupLayout.DEFAULT_SIZE, GroupLayout.PREFERRED_SIZE))) .addGap(55) .addGroup(gl_conent_p.createParallelGroup(Alignment.BASELINE) .addComponent(lblLogcat) .addComponent(txtConsole, GroupLayout.PREFERRED_SIZE, 200, GroupLayout.PREFERRED_SIZE) .addComponent(sbrText)) .addContainerGap()) ); conent_p.setLayout(gl_conent_p); getContentPane().add(conent_p, BorderLayout.NORTH); JButton btnBuy = new JButton("Buy"); btnBuy.addActionListener( new ActionListener() { public void actionPerformed(ActionEvent ev) { try { String title = itemField.getText().trim(); String mprice = mpriceField.getText().trim(); String quantity = quanField.getText().trim(); String deliver = delivField.getText().trim(); Item_CONCEPT item = new Item_CONCEPT(); item.setName(title); item.setDelivery(Integer.parseInt(deliver)); item.setStartPrice(0); item.setMaxPrice(Integer.parseInt(mprice)); myAgent.existsSeller(item); Date date = new Date(); DateFormat df = new SimpleDateFormat("dd.MM.yy HH:mm"); System.out.println(df.format(date)+": Buyer orders an item: "+item.getName()); //Clearing all fields itemField.setText(""); quanField.setText(""); delivField.setText(""); //txtConsole.setText(""); mpriceField.setText(""); } catch (Exception e) { JOptionPane.showMessageDialog(BuyerGUI.this, "A field is filled incorrectly.   • How to combine RewriteRule of index.php and queries rewrite and avoid Server Error 404?

    - by Binyamin
    Both RewriteRule's works fine, except when used together. 1.Remove all queries except query ?callback=.*: # /api?callback=foo has no rewrite # /whatever?whatever=foo has 301 redirect /whatever RewriteCond %{THE_REQUEST} ^[A-Z]{3,9}\ /([^?#\ ]*)\?[^\ ]*\ HTTP/ [NC] RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI}?%{QUERY_STRING} !/api(/.*)?\?callback=.* RewriteRule .*$ %{REQUEST_URI}? [R=301,L] 2.Rewrite index.php queries api and url=$1: # /api returns data index.php?api&url= # /api/whatever returns data index.php?api&url=whatever RewriteRule ^api(?:/([^/]*))?$ index.php?api&url=$1 [QSA,L] RewriteRule ^([^.]*)$ index.php?url=$1 [QSA,L] Any valid combination to this RewriteRule's on keeping its functionality? This combination will return Server Error 404 to /api/?callback=foo: # Remove all queries except query "callback" RewriteCond %{THE_REQUEST} ^[A-Z]{3,9}\ /([^?#\ ]*)\?[^\ ]*\ HTTP/ [NC] RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI}?%{QUERY_STRING} !/api(/.*)?\?callback=.* RewriteRule .*$ %{REQUEST_URI}? [R=301,L] # Rewrite index.php queries RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI}?%{QUERY_STRING} !/api(/.*)?\?callback=.* # Server Error 404 on /api/?callback=foo and /api/whatever?callback=foo RewriteRule ^api(?:/([^/]*))?$ index.php?api&url=$1 [QSA,L] RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI}?%{QUERY_STRING} !/api(/.*)?\?callback=.* RewriteRule ^([^.]*)$ index.php?url=$1 [QSA,L]

  • SQL Server error handling: exceptions and the database-client contract

    - by gbn
We’re a team of SQL Servers database developers. Our clients are a mixed bag of C#/ASP.NET, C# and Java web services, Java/Unix services and some Excel. Our client developers only use stored procedures that we provide and we expect that (where sensible, of course) they treat them like web service methods. Some our client developers don’t like SQL exceptions. They understand them in their languages but they don’t appreciate that the SQL is limited in how we can communicate issues. I don’t just mean SQL errors, such as trying to insert “bob” into a int column. I also mean exceptions such as telling them that a reference value is wrong, or that data has already changed, or they can’t do this because his aggregate is not zero. They’d don’t really have any concrete alternatives: they’ve mentioned that we should output parameters, but we assume an exception means “processing stopped/rolled back. How do folks here handle the database-client contract? Either generally or where there is separation between the DB and client code monkeys. Edits: we use SQL Server 2005 TRY/CATCH exclusively we log all errors after the rollback to an exception table already we're concerned that some of our clients won't check output paramaters and assume everything is OK. We need errors flagged up for support to look at. everything is an exception... the clients are expected to do some message parsing to separate information vs errors. To separate our exceptions from DB engine and calling errors, they should use the error number (ours are all 50,000 of course)

  • how to filter files from the root "classes" and "test-classes" folders in Eclipse?

    - by Kidburla
I am using ClearCase in my application which generates a whole load of ".copyarea.db" files (one in every folder). These cause conflicts when publishing to Tomcat as Eclipse will bundle the "classes" and "test-classes" folders into one JAR (not sure why it does this - as there is no need to have test classes available on the application server). Any folders with the same names will have a separate .copyarea.db in the classes and test-classes branches. I managed to get around this problem in general by adding ".copyarea.db" to the Filtered resources on the Java->Compiler->Building->Output Folder preference page. This stops the file appearing in source output (package/class folders), the vast majority of cases. However there remains the problem of the root folder, i.e. "target/classes/.copyarea.db" and "target/test-classes/.copyarea.db". These files are not filtered as they are not part of the compile task. Just deleting the files manually doesn't help either, as Eclipse expects to find them and doesn't. How can I exclude these ".copyarea.db" files from the root "classes" and "test-classes" folders?

  • How can I rewrite a URL and pass on the original URL as a parameter?

    - by Bobby Jack
I'm building a site that needs to include a 'check' procedure, to do several initiation tasks for a user's session. Examples include checking whether they're accepting cookies, determining if their IP address grants them specific privileges, etc. Once the check is complete, I need to redirect the user back to the page they originally requested. The plan is to use RewriteCond and map all URLs to an 'initiator' if the user doesn't have a specific cookie set. Let's say I want to rewrite all URLs (ultimately, with some conditions, of course) to: /foo?original_url=... Where the ... is the original URL requested, URL-encoded. The closest I've got is this: RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://localhost/php/cookie.php$1 [R=301] I can then inspect the original URL, captured in the backreference, via PATH_INFO. However, this is pretty messy - I would much prefer to pass that value as a URL parameter

  • how to let the parser print help message rather than error and exit

    - by fluter
    Hi, I am using argparse to handle cmd args, I wanna if there is no args specified, then print the help message, but now the parse will output a error, and then exit. my code is: def main(): print "in abing/start/main" parser = argparse.ArgumentParser(prog="abing")#, usage="%(prog)s <command> [args] [--help]") parser.add_argument("-v", "--verbose", action="store_true", default=False, help="show verbose output") subparsers = parser.add_subparsers(title="commands") bkr_subparser = subparsers.add_parser("beaker", help="beaker inspection") bkr_subparser.set_defaults(command=beaker_command) bkr_subparser.add_argument("-m", "--max", action="store", default=3, type=int, help="max resubmit count") bkr_subparser.add_argument("-g", "--grain", action="store", default="J", choices=["J", "RS", "R", "T", "job", "recipeset", "recipe", "task"], type=str, help="resubmit selection granularity") bkr_subparser.add_argument("job_ids", nargs=1, action="store", help="list of job id to be monitored") et_subparser = subparsers.add_parser("errata", help="errata inspection") et_subparser.set_defaults(command=errata_command) et_subparser.add_argument("-w", "--workflows", action="store_true", help="generate workflows for the erratum") et_subparser.add_argument("-r", "--run", action="store_true", help="generate workflows, and run for the erratum") et_subparser.add_argument("-s", "--start-monitor", action="store_true", help="start monitor the errata system") et_subparser.add_argument("-d", "--daemon", action="store_true", help="run monitor into daemon mode") et_subparser.add_argument("erratum", action="store", nargs=1, metavar="ERRATUM", help="erratum id") if len(sys.argv) == 1: parser.print_help() return args = parser.parse_args() args.command(args) return how can I do that? thanks.

  • Linux NetSec/IDS Bridge

    - by Blackninja543
What I am looking to make is a linux system that acts as a bridge. It simple forwards any data sent on one device over to the next device. It does not attempt to block incoming attacks or redirect any traffic. What it does to is perform an IDS role on the network. Any suspicious activity is logged and reported. Snort would be one such piece of software however I was wondering what other solutions and ideas the rest of the community has.

  • ErrorDocument 404 not found in non-existent subdomain

    - by Question Overflow
I am trying to get the apache server to issue a custom 404 error for invalid subdomains. The following is the relevant part of the httpd configuration: Alias /err/ "/var/www/error/" ErrorDocument 404 /err/HTTP_NOT_FOUND.html.var <VirtualHost *:80> # the default virtual host ServerName site_not_found Redirect 404 / </VirtualHost> <VirtualHost *:80> ServerName example.com ServerAlias ??.example.com </VirtualHost> What I get instead is this: Not Found The requested URL / was not found on this server. Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request. I don't understand why a URL to non-existent-subdomain.example.com produces a 404 error without custom error as shown above while a URL to eg.example.com/non-existent-file produces the full custom 404 error. Can someone advise on this. Thanks.

  • How to maintain ComboBox.SelectedItem reference when DataSource is resorted?

    - by Dave
    This really seems like a bug to me, but perhaps some databinding gurus can enlighten me? (My WinForms databinding knowledge is quite limited.) I have a ComboBox bound to a sorted DataView. When the properties of the items in the DataView change such that items are resorted, the SelectedItem in my ComboBox does not keep in-sync. It seems to point to someplace completely random. Is this a bug, or am I missing something in my databinding? Here is a sample application that reproduces the problem. All you need is a Button and a ComboBox: public partial class Form1 : Form { private DataTable myData; public Form1() { this.InitializeComponent(); this.myData = new DataTable(); this.myData.Columns.Add("ID", typeof(int)); this.myData.Columns.Add("Name", typeof(string)); this.myData.Columns.Add("LastModified", typeof(DateTime)); this.myData.Rows.Add(1, "first", DateTime.Now.AddMinutes(-2)); this.myData.Rows.Add(2, "second", DateTime.Now.AddMinutes(-1)); this.myData.Rows.Add(3, "third", DateTime.Now); this.myData.DefaultView.Sort = "LastModified DESC"; this.comboBox1.DataSource = this.myData.DefaultView; this.comboBox1.ValueMember = "ID"; this.comboBox1.DisplayMember = "Name"; } private void saveStuffButton_Click(object sender, EventArgs e) { DataRowView preUpdateSelectedItem = (DataRowView)this.comboBox1.SelectedItem; // OUTPUT: SelectedIndex = 0; SelectedItem.Name = third Debug.WriteLine(string.Format("SelectedIndex = {0:N0}; SelectedItem.Name = {1}", this.comboBox1.SelectedIndex, preUpdateSelectedItem["Name"])); this.myData.Rows[0]["LastModified"] = DateTime.Now; DataRowView postUpdateSelectedItem = (DataRowView)this.comboBox1.SelectedItem; // OUTPUT: SelectedIndex = 2; SelectedItem.Name = second Debug.WriteLine(string.Format("SelectedIndex = {0:N0}; SelectedItem.Name = {1}", this.comboBox1.SelectedIndex, postUpdateSelectedItem["Name"])); // FAIL! Debug.Assert(object.ReferenceEquals(preUpdateSelectedItem, postUpdateSelectedItem)); } }

  • How to write to a text file in pipe delimited format from SQL Server / ASP.Net?

    - by NJTechGuy
I have a text file which needs to be constantly updated (regular intervals). All I want is the syntax and possibly some code that outputs data from a SQL Server database using ASP.Net. The code I have so far is : <%@ Import Namespace="System.IO" %> <script language="vb" runat="server"> sub Page_Load(sender as Object, e as EventArgs) Dim FILENAME as String = Server.MapPath("Output.txt") Dim objStreamWriter as StreamWriter ' If Len(Dir$(FILENAME)) > 0 Then Kill(FILENAME) objStreamWriter = File.AppendText(FILENAME) objStreamWriter.WriteLine("A user viewed this demo at: " & DateTime.Now.ToString()) objStreamWriter.Close() Dim objStreamReader as StreamReader objStreamReader = File.OpenText(FILENAME) Dim contents as String = objStreamReader.ReadToEnd() lblNicerOutput.Text = contents.Replace(vbCrLf, "<br>") objStreamReader.Close() end sub </script> <asp:label runat="server" id="lblNicerOutput" Font-Name="Verdana" /> With PHP, it is a breeze, but with .Net I have no clue. If you could help me with the database connectivity and how to write the data in pipe delimited format to an Output.txt file, that had be awesome. Thanks guys!

  • How to elegantly selectively exclude FreeBSD network traffic from OpenVPN interface by port

    - by Polygonica
inexperienced sysadmin here. I'm planning on running a net daemon inside a FreeBSD jail through OpenVPN, but want to be able to SSH directly into the jail and use the daemon's web interface daemon without going through the VPN. As I understand it, an OpenVPN tunnel is normally set up as a default virtual internet interface, and so incoming traffic will go out on the OpenVPN interface by default (which is problematic, as this incurs latency). I thought "well, obviously, since all of this traffic is leaving on a handful of ports, I'll just redirect those to the non-VPN gateway." I've tried to look for solutions, but almost all of them involve iptables instead of ipfw (which is default for FreeBSD) and solve slightly different problems. And alternate solutions like using multiple default routes to ensure that incoming traffic on any interface is always sent out on the same interface seem far-reaching and require deep knowledge of all tools involved. Is there an elegant way of ensuring that traffic leaving on specific ports exits on a specified non-default interface using ipfw?

Apache error logs show this AH00124: Request exceeded the limit of 10 internal redirects due to probable configuration error. Use 'LimitInternalRecursion' to increase the limit if necessary. Use 'LogLevel debug' to get a backtrace. And the .htaccess file is this <IfModule mod_rewrite.c> Options -MultiViews Options +FollowSymLinks RewriteEngine On RewriteBase / RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d RewriteRule ^(.*)$ index.php/$1 [L] </IfModule> The webroot has multiple sub-folders which are document roots for different domains. • Multiple redirects / rewrites within one VirtualHost group

    - by Benjamin Dell
Hi, I have a client that now wants to point a couple of dozen urls to their main site. I have added them as serveralias's in the sites apache config file... so now all of these urls point to the primary one... excellent. The problem i have is that if ANY of these alias's are accessed at the root (i.e. www.domain.com rather than www.domain.com/some-page/) then i need to redirect them to a specific page within the site (i.e. anyone accessing domain.com might need to be sent to domain.com/special-landing-page/). However, any visit to anything other than the landing page should just continue as normal without any re-directs. I've been battling with this for a few hours and can't seem to find the best solution. Does anyone have any suggestions?

  • Executing an exe with arguments using Powershell

    - by Chris Charge
This is what I want to execute: c:\Program Files (x86)\SEQUEL ViewPoint\viewpoint.exe /Setvar((POSTSTR $POSTSTR)(POSTEND $POSTEND)) /G:C:\viewpointfile.vpt /D:C:($BEGDATE to $TODDATE).xls This is what I have tried: $a = "/Setvar((POSTSTR $POSTSTR)(POSTEND $POSTEND))" $b = "/G:C:\viewpointfile.vpt" $c = "/D:C:($BEGDATE to $TODDATE).xls" $Viewpoint = "c:\Program Files (x86)\SEQUEL ViewPoint\viewpoint.exe" &$Viewpoint $a $b $c When I execute this I receive an error stating: File C:\viewpointfile.vpt "/D:C:($BEGDATE to $TODDATE).xls" not found! I'm not sure where it gets the extra quotes from. If I run the command with just $a and $b it runs fine. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! :) Update manojlds suggested echoargs so here it the output from it: &./echoargs.exe $viewpoint $a $b $c Arg 0 is C:\Program Files (x86)\SEQUEL ViewPoint\viewpoint.exe Arg 1 is /Setvar((POSTSTR 20101123)(POSTEND 20111123)) Arg 2 is /G:C:\viewpointfile.vpt Arg 3 is /D:C:(2010-11-23 to 2011-11-23 PM).xls It appears that all the arguments are being passed properly. When I run this as a command in cmd.exe it executes perfectly. So something on Powershells end must be messing up the output. Is there any other way to go about executing this command using Powershell?

  • Extend university wifi network [migrated]

    - by asfasdoiuh ouhouhouh
i live in a university campus and i can get wifi signal on the outside of my window but not in the house. The solution i use at the moment is a usb wifi dongle outside connected to my laptop but the lack of an internal antenna make the connection quite unreliable at times. So i was trying to find another solution to improve the reception of my network. One idea is to setup a router on the outside (in a place with stronger signal) and redirect the connection inside the house with an ethernet cable but the problem is that our Uni Wifi is managed by a capitve portal (BlueSocket with DNS redirection to login page) and the authentication has to happen on the mac address that connect to the net (so the client appliance in this case). If I use a router with Mac-Clone capability i will be able to be redirected trough the captive portal on my laptop computer and login from there or i need to setup my router to fill in the login page by itself? There are other hardware/software solutions i can use to get what i want? Thank you all

  • Implementing a scrabble trainer (cheater)

    - by bstullkid
Hello, I've recently been playing alot of online scrabble so I decided to make a program that quickly searches through a dictionary of 200,000+ words with an input of up to any 26 letters. My first attempt was fail as it took a while when you input 8 or more letters (just a basic look through dictionary and cancel out a letter if its found kind of thing), so I made a tree like structure containing only an array of 26 of the same structure and a flag to indicate the end of a word, doing that It can output all possible words in under a second even with an input of 26 characters. But it seems that when I input 12 or more letters with some of the same characters repeated i get duplicates; can anyone see why I would be getting duplicates with this code? (ill post my program at the bottom) Also, the next step once the duplicates are weeded out is to actually be able to input the letters on the game board and then have it calculate the best word you can make on a given board. I am having trouble trying to figure out a good algorithm that can analyze a scrabble board and an input of letters and output a result; the possible words that could be made I have no problem with but actually checking a board efficiently (ie can this word fit here, or here etc... without creating a non dictionary word in the process on some other string of letters) Anyone have a idea for an approach at that? (given a scrabble board, and an input of 7 letters, find all possible valid words or word sets that you can make) lol crap i forgot to email myself the code from my other computer thats in another state... ill post it on monday when I get back there! btw the dictionary im using is sowpods (http://www.calvin.edu/~rpruim/scrabble/ospd3.txt)

  • How to move mail among Google Apps for Domains users

    - by Paul Roub
Considering moving the domain used by my extended family for email to Google Apps. One less server for me to manage, better spam filtering, etc. One thing that's been nice about running my own has been the way I manage my kids' incoming email - it comes to me first, and I drop good mail in a symlinked IMAP folder that we share. A little procmail is all it takes, and straight-through exceptions are easy to implement. (FYI, no I'm not advocating censorship, but manually filtering spam and viruses from my 8-year-old's inbox seems like the right thing to do. YMMV) Anyway. I'm wondering if there's an easy way to do something similar in Google Apps - setting up filters to auto-redirect to me looks easy enough (any gotchas there?), but moving things back is not obvious. Yes, I could access both accounts via IMAP and drag mails across, but does anyone have an easier way?

  • Any Alternate way for writing to a file other than ofstream

    - by Aditya
Hi All, I am performing file operations (writeToFile) which fetches the data from a xml and writes into a output file(a1.txt). I am using MS Visual C++ 2008 and in windows XP. currently i am using this method of writing to output file.. 01.ofstreamhdr OutputFile; 02./* few other stmts / 03.hdrOutputFile.open(fileName, std::ios::out); 04. 05.hdrOutputFile << "#include \"commondata.h\""<< endl ; 06.hdrOutputFile << "#include \"Commonconfig.h\"" << endl ; 07.hdrOutputFile << "#include \"commontable.h\"" << endl << endl ; 08. hdrOutputFile << "#pragma pack(push,1)" << endl ; 09.hdrOutputFile << "typedef struct \n {" << endl ; 10./ simliar hdrOutputFiles statements... */.. I have around 250 lines to write.. Is any better way to perform this task. I want to reduce this hdrOutputFile and use a buffer to do this. Please guide me how to do that action. I mean, buff = "#include \"commontable.h\"" + "typedef struct \n {" + ....... hdrOutputFile << buff. is this way possible? Thanks Ramm

  • How to run a process and completely detach it of its parent shell

    - by Bicou
I'm running a program on a linux server that will take days to complete. I'm launching it from my workstation from an SSH terminal, as this program is command-line only. I want to be able to do all of these : launch that program, redirect standard outputs to files, exit my SSH session without making this terminate the process. I thought about $ ./MyProg.csh -params -foo -bar </dev/null 1>~/out.log 2>~/err.log & However, the process is terminated the moment I close my SSH session. My workstation is running Windows XP, and I cannot guarantee its uptime over several days, which is required for the processing of my data on the Linux server. As you may have noted, my program requires to be launched from CSH. Is it possible to do this ? Thanks.

'i need TO format the KEYWORDS from the STRING' In the above string keywords are STRING and WHERE Now i need to get an output as follows: this is a <b>STRING</b> <b>WHERE</b> some keywords ARE available. 'i need TO format the KEYWORDS from the STRING' So that the html output will be like: this is a STRING WHERE some keywords ARE available. 'i need TO format the KEYWORDS from the STRING' Note that the keywords within a quoted ('...') string will be ignored. in the above example i ignored the STRING keyword within the quoted string. Please give a modified version of the following PHP script so that I can have my desired result as above : $patterns = array('/STRING/','/WHERE/'); $replaces = array('<b>STRING</b>', '<b>WHERE</b>'); $string = "this is a STRING WHERE some keywords ARE available. • PHP - Drilling down Data and Looping with Loops

    - by stogdilla
I'm currently having difficulty finding a way of making my loops work. I have a table of data with 15 minute values. I need the data to pull up in a few different increments $filters=Array('Yrs','Qtr','Day','60','30','15'); I think I have a way of finding out what I need to be able to drill down to but the issue I'm having is after the first loop to cycle through all the Outter most values (ex: the user says they want to display by Hours, each hour should be able to have a "+" that will then add a new div to display the half hour data, then each half hour data have a "+" to display the 15 minute data upon request. Now I can just program the number of outputs for each value (6 different outputs) just in-case... but isn't there a way I can make it do the drill down for each one in a loop? so I only have to code one output once and have it just check if there are any more intervals after it and check for those? I'm sure I'm just overlooking some very simple way of doing this but my brain isn't being clever today. Sorry in advance if this is a simple solution. I guess the best way I could think of it as a reply on a form. How you would check to see if it's a reply of a reply, and then if that reply has any replys...etc for output. Can anyone help or at least point me in the right direction? Or am I stuck coding each possible check? Thanks in advance!

  • How does PHP interface with Apache?

    - by Sbm007
Hi, I've almost finished writing a HTTP/1.0 compliant web server under Java (no commercial usage as such, this is just for fun) and basically I want to include PHP support. I realize that this is no easy task at all, but I think it'll be a nice accomplishment. So I want to know how PHP exactly interfaces with the Apache web server (or any other web server really), so I can learn from it and write my own PHP wrapper. It doesn't necessarily have to be mod_php, I don't mind writing a FastCGI wrapper - which to my knowledge is capable of running PHP as well. I would've thought that all that PHP needs is the output that goes to client (so it can interpret the PHP parts), the full HTTP request from client (so it can extract POST variables and such) and the client's host name. And then you simply take the parsed PHP code and write that to the output stream. There will probably be more things, but in essence that's how I would have thought it works. From what I've gathered so far, apache2handler provides an API which PHP makes use of to 'connect' to Apache. I guess it's an idea to look at the source code for apache2handler and php5apache2.dll or so, but before I do that I thought I'd ask SO first. If anyone has more information, experience, or some sort of specification that is relevant to this then please let me know. Thanks in advance!

  • How secure is using "Normal password" for SMTP with connection type = STARTTLS?

    - by harshath.jr
I'm using an email client for the first time - for the most part I've always used gmail via the web interface. Now I'm setting up thunderbird to connect to an email server of my own (on my own server, own domain name, etc). The server machine (and the email server on it) was preconfigured for me. Now i figured out away by which I'm able to send and receive email, but I noticed that in the outgoing and incoming servers section, the connection type was STARTTLS (and not SSL/TLS), and the Authentication Type was "Normal Password". Does this mean that the password will be sent across in plain text? I'm very paranoid about security - its the only way that it works for me. Can someone please post links that explain how SMTP (my outbound server) and IMAP (my inbound server) servers work, and what connection type means what? Thanks! PS: If this question does not belong here, please redirect me.

  • How do I prevent qFatal() from aborting the application?

    - by Dave
My Qt application uses Q_ASSERT_X, which calls qFatal(), which (by default) aborts the application. That's great for the application, but I'd like to suppress that behavior when unit testing the application. (I'm using the Google Test Framework.) I have by unit tests in a separate project, statically linking to the class I'm testing. The documentation for qFatal() reads: Calls the message handler with the fatal message msg. If no message handler has been installed, the message is printed to stderr. Under Windows, the message is sent to the debugger. If you are using the default message handler this function will abort on Unix systems to create a core dump. On Windows, for debug builds, this function will report a _CRT_ERROR enabling you to connect a debugger to the application. ... To supress the output at runtime, install your own message handler with qInstallMsgHandler(). So here's my main.cpp file: #include <gtest/gtest.h> #include <QApplication> void testMessageOutput(QtMsgType type, const char *msg) { switch (type) { case QtDebugMsg: fprintf(stderr, "Debug: %s\n", msg); break; case QtWarningMsg: fprintf(stderr, "Warning: %s\n", msg); break; case QtCriticalMsg: fprintf(stderr, "Critical: %s\n", msg); break; case QtFatalMsg: fprintf(stderr, "My Fatal: %s\n", msg); break; } } int main(int argc, char **argv) { qInstallMsgHandler(testMessageOutput); testing::InitGoogleTest(&argc, argv); return RUN_ALL_TESTS(); } But my application is still stopping at the assert. I can tell that my custom handler is being called, because the output when running my tests is: My Fatal: ASSERT failure in MyClass::doSomething: "doSomething()", file myclass.cpp, line 21 The program has unexpectedly finished. What can I do so that my tests keep running even when an assert fails?
