• Trying to connect to QuickBooks via Web Connect in asp.net

  I don't know if any of you have had experience with QuickBooks integration, but I have to try :) I downloaded QuickBooks Free Simple Start, Quickbooks Web Connector and Web Service sample code ... I've read Web Connector manual and followed instructions but, when using authenticate function, I always get error "nvu", meaning that username or password are not valid. • How to improve Java perfomance on Informix for Windows

  I have problem with performance of Java UDR functions on Informix on Windows. On this server I already have some functions in C and SPL. I chose one function to write it in those 3 languages and I measured performance of this function on test table. Function calculates some kind of checksum so it not use any db libraries etc. only string and math operations. I observed performance on 30k records with SQL like: select function(txt) from _tmp_perf_test and I changed function to 'function_c, function_spl or function_java. My performance tests showed that C function is the fastest, SPL function is about 5 times slower, where Java is 100 (one hundred!) times slower than C. I checked it few times and 1:100 ratio didn't improve. I changed Java function to simply return length of the string but even this do not help so it looks, that there is general problem with Java function invocation, because there was no difference in time between Java function that calculate checksum and Java function that returns length of the string. I increased JVM_MAX_HEAP_SIZE to 128 and it not helped too. I use IBM Informix Dynamic Server Version 11.50.TC6DE. The same test on Linux server: IBM Informix Dynamic Server Version 11.50.FC6 show more "normal" results, i.e. Java is slower from C and SPL but only 2 to 5 times. What can I do to improve Java performance on Informix server on Windows?   I am having a problem using Visual Studio data driven testing. I have tried to deconstruct this to the simplest example. I am using Visual Studio 2012. I create a new unit test project. I am referencing system data. I have tried this with and without |DataDirectory|, and with/without a full path specified (the same path that I get with Environment.CurrentDirectory). I've tried variations of "../" and "../../" just in case. Right now the csv is at the project root level, same as the .cs test code file. I have tried variations with xml as well as csv. TestContext is not null, but DataRow always is. I have not gotten this to work despite a lot of fiddling with it. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. Does mstest create a log anywhere that would tell me if it is failing to find the csv file, or what specific error might be causing DataRow to fail to populate? I have tried the following csv files: ID 1 2 3 4 and ID, Whatever 1,0 2,1 3,2 4,3 So far, no dice.

  There seems to be a bug in the Java varargs implementation. Java can't distinguish the appropriate type when a method is overloaded with different types of vararg parameters. It gives me an error The method ... is ambiguous for the type ...   I am basically trying to create a small registration form. If the username is already taken, I want to add the 'red' class, if not then 'green'. The PHP here works fine, and returns either a "YES" or "NO" to determine whether it's ok.   Greeting, I'm trying to put some Beanshell script in my Ant build.xml file. I've followed the Ant manual as well as I can but I keep getting "Unable to create javax script engine for beanshell" when I run Ant.   HI Gurus, I have been working on SSD(solid state disk) for several months..Problems and Questions hit my head unexpectedly..Coz i am a virgin in ssd... Esp these days i was testing the write-read speed of ssd, which I was always caring.... however result turned out not good as I expected, or even worse Three kinds of read-write were implemented in my test 1. read and write directly from and into ssd, with openning ssd as a whole device. in windows: _open("\\:g", ***).. It can be very tricky and hairy that you'd write a data with size of folds of 512, at the disk position of folds of 512bytes... So, If you wanto write just a byte or 4 bytes, you'v to write at least a whole sector one time. 2. Read and write data from and into files located in SSD... 3. Read and Write data from and into files in mechanical Disk I compared the pratices below...I found ssd sucks...the ssd performs worse than mechanical disk... so i am wondering where i can get the potential performance of ssd, since ssd is said to a substitute for mechanical disk in the future.. Nevertheless, I test ssd with a pro-hard-disk tools..ssd is like twice speedier than mechanical disk. So, why? Thanx very much...If you know tips of ssd...follow me

  I have the problem where i have a WPF RichTextBox, and i'm extracting its XAML code and saving it to a txt file. Doing functional testing of view model, I can mock service proxy to ensure methods are called on the proxy, but how can I ensure that callback method is called as well? With RhinoMocks I can test that events are handled and event raise events on the mocked object, but how can I test callbacks?   Work on this small test application to learn threading/locking. I have the following code, I would think that the line should only write to console once. However it doesn't seem to be working as expected. Any thoughts on why? What I'm trying to do is add this Lot object to a List, then if any other threads try and hit that list, it would block.
