• D-Day Calendar has wrong dates when importing from google calendar?

  Hi I am using D-Day calendar and I am not sure but I got a weird problem. I basically have this for my code iCalendar iCal = iCalendar.LoadFromStream(file.InputStream); foreach (Event evt in iCal.Events) { DateTime start = evt.DTStart.Date; DateTime end = evt.DTEnd.Date; // loop through it and get values. } Yet when I import a calendar from google calendar the end date is messed up on some of the stuff I am importing. Like for instance I have this Title: should not show When: Sun, March 21(all day). Yet when I import it in. I says the start date is the 21st yet the end date is the 22nd when it should be the 21st. Not sure what is going on. I am not really sure what other info I can give you guys.

  Launching the android SDK manager from the command line gets me this error and others like: Failed to fetch URL http://dl-ssl.google.com/android/repository/addons_list-1.xml, reason: Failure initializing default SSL context I've done plenty of searches and have forced http instead of https, created an androidtool.cfg file and added the line sdkman.force.http=true permisions for all files in ~/.android are rw r r. I'm calling android logged in as the owner of those files. I am not using a proxy and I have no anti virus running. I just installed fedora 16 and am not sure of any firewalls running by default. I suspect a permissions problem somewhere along the line. any ideas?

• How do you implement file drag-and-drop upload in Google Chrome?

  I've found several tutorials online about implementing file drag/drop with Firefox 3.6 (they involve using a FileReader object to get the file binary data). However, I cannot create a FileReader object in Chrome on Windows or Mac. Does anyone know what the API is to read and manipulate data from a drag-and-dropped file in Chrome? If I can get the binary data of the file, I already have the rest of the code to perform the upload. Note: I've also tried using the getAsBinary() function call on the file object of the drag event (event.dataTransfer.file) but I believe that is a Mozilla-specific function and not implemented in Chrome. Also, I'm not interested in a solution using google gears or one that requires a user to select files from a dialog. I'm specifically trying to implement a drag-and-drop file upload.

  I am thinking of making an (initially) small Web Application, which would eventually have a potential to grow. All things considered Google App Engine seems like a very attractive option. Say, user base and complexity grows and for one or other reason I needed to leave GAE behind. How difficult would it be to migrate away? 1) Does GAE provide a way to export the database? What format would it be? Would it be difficult to put it under MySQL (or similar)? 2) In which areas (ex. database access, others?) would I have to use GAE API? I.e. which parts of implementation would have to be abstracted away / interfaced? 3) Alternatively, is it even worth to keep GAE API outside, say, if there is nothing much I would need to use.

  I've looked at vObject, iCalendar and the official list of CalDAV libraries, including 3 in python. However, I can't find any code that can get me an event object from a given CalDAV (i.e. google, exchange, etc.) server using a username/password. Most of the django calendar related code uses native code libraries and not WebDAV. An ideal python CalDAV client example would 1) use a given uid/pw, 2) obtain primary calendar and 3) obtain next appointment information (i.e. subject, location, start, end, etc.) Thanks!

  I worked on a website for which I had a "development URL" that looked something like this: www.domainname.com.php5-9.dfw1-2.websitetestlink.com/ Now, several weeks after the website launch, there is at least one page of content indexed on Google with that URL. Question: How do I redirect all requests from that test URL to reroute to the actual domain? So, for instance, I would want: www.domainname.com.php5-9.dfw1-2.websitetestlink.com/page-name To go to: www.domainname.com/page-name The website is powered by WordPress and hosted on a PHP server. I've experimented with .htaccess without much success.

  I am putting the finishing touches on a customized Google Search for a site and need a little assistance tweaking the header on the results page. I was able to manage the spacing of the results content with: #results4 { width: 620px; padding: 20px; } However you will notice that the top row of information Results 1 - 10 for search... runs off the right side of the content area. I tried using the following code, but it didn't help: .t td { align:left; } I also tried margin-right and padding but those didn't work either. what is the best way to get that content to move over into the content area? thanks.

What is the canonical way to do #2 given a Multiset? Here is a blog post about it, but that code is not quite what I want. First, it returns everything, not just top N.   Apart from http://developer.android.com/guide/appendix/g-app-intents.html (which is quite good but fairly limited in the number of apps/uri's it covers) I've been unable to find a decent reference source for looking up URI's to use when integrating with google apps. I'm currently working on triggering the "add new contact" UI, and have found that the tel: uri pattern seems to work, but what if I only have a name and an email? I wouldn't have expected I'd need to rely on sample code / trial and error, but I really can't see anywhere where the intent/URI interface is supposed to be documented in android apps. Does such a standard exist? Is there some quasi standard / user database that I can consult? On a platform with such a good inter-interoperability architecture it just seems like something so useful I can't believe it's not there

  I want to allow access to a WCF service to only those requests that contain a developer key. This is similiar to how the Google Maps API works. Register for a developer key and include that key in your requests. Anyone can get a key. How you get a key is undecided but is being discussed. For now, we'll email you a key.   The address bar background color in Google Chrome is black. I cannot see what I'm typing. What's going on? This is a problem when you're typing in a URL you've never used before (so there's no matching history). Type in a URL you've never used before. Imagine someone is giving it to you over the phone. Make a typo somewhere. Use the back arrow to go back and correct it. You cannot see where the cursor is. This just started happening yesterday. I'm on WinXP Pro.

My company has a DSL 2mb connection. My main problem is latency, in the morning its good but after that its gets really bad. I tried to explain to them the latency issue but they say that as long as I'm getting the download speed there isn't anything I can do about it. • Why are Google search results not working for me? Does it have to do with otnggrneohai? [closed]

  Possible Duplicate: What to do if my computer is infected by a virus or a malware? I can't use Google search results right now. The actual searches return results that look valid, but whenever I click on a link, I'm redirected to strange sites. I believe I'm being affected by a virus that has something to do with the string "otnggrneohai." I was running Windows 7 Home with Microsoft Security Essentials, but Microsoft Security Essentials has been deleted. I did not delete it myself. Here is the screen shot, I did a search test in google videos:

  Since social moves at the speed of data, it’s already time for another update, as we did back in April, on the changes the various social networks have made or gone through while you were busy marketing. Facebook There’s a lot of talk Facebook’s developing a mobile product to act like Flipboard and surface news, from both users and media outlets. The biggest news was Facebook/Instagram’s introduction of 15-second videos, enhanced with with filters, to take some of Vine’s candy. You can also delete parts of videos and rerecord them, and there’s image stabilization. Facebook’s ad revenue is coming along just fine, thank you very much. 35% quarter-to-quarter growth in Q2. And it looks like new formats like Mobile App Install Ads and Unpublished Page Posts are adding to the mix. If you don’t already, you’ll soon see a little camera in comment boxes letting you insert photos right into the comments you make. The drive toward “more visual” continues. The other big news is Facebook’s adoption of our Twitter friend, the hashtag. Adding # sets apart the post topic so it can be easily found or discovered. It’s also being added to Google Plus, Tumblr, and Pinterest. Twitter Want to send someone a promoted tweet when they’re in range of your store? That could be happening by the end of this year. Premium users get even deeper insights about how people are finding them. If you’re a big fan of security, you’ll love that LinkedIn started offering two-factor authentication (2FA). It’s optional, but step 2 is a one-time code texted to your registered mobile. Pinterest A study showed pins have a looong shelf life compared to other social net posts. “Clicks kept coming for 30 days and beyond.” Most pins are timeless, and the infinite scroll causes people to see older pins. Is it a keeper? Pinterest jumped 82% to 54 million users in the past year. It’s valued at $2.5 billion and is one of the biggest sources of referral traffic there is. Installing a third-party keyboard is easy — install it from Google Play, launch it like another app, and it will explain how to enable it. Google Keyboard Google Keyboard is Android’s official keyboard, as seen on Google’s Nexus devices. However, there’s a good chance your Android smartphone or tablet comes with a keyboard designed by its manufacturer instead. You can install the Google Keyboard from Google Play, even if your device doesn’t come with it. This keyboard offers a wide variety of features, including a built-in gesture-typing feature, as popularized by Swype. It also offers prediction, including full next-word prediction based on your previous word, and includes voice recognition that works offline on modern versions of Android. Google’s keyboard may not offer the most accurate swiping feature or the best autocorrection, but it’s a great keyboard that feels like it belongs in Android. SwiftKey SwiftKey costs $4, although you can try it free for one month. In spite of its price, many people who rarely buy apps have been sold on SwiftKey. It offers amazing auto-correction and word-prediction features. Rather than displaying a full keyboard on your screen, Minuum displays a single row of letters.  Each letter is small and may be difficult to hit, but that doesn’t matter — Minuum’s smart autocorrection algorithms interpret what you intended to type rather than typing the exact letters you press. Just swipe to the right to type a space and accept Minuum’s suggestion. At $4 for a beta version with no trial, Minuum may seem a bit pricy. But it’s a great example of the flexibility Android allows. If there’s a problem with this keyboard, it’s that it’s a bit late — in an age of 5″ smartphones with 1080p screens, full-size keyboards no longer feel as cramped. MessagEase MessagEase is another example of a new take on text input. Thankfully, this keyboard is available for free. MessagEase presents all letters in a nine-button grid. To type a common letter, you’d tap the button. To type an uncommon letter, you’d tap the button, hold down, and swipe in the appropriate direction. This gives you large buttons that can work well as touch targets, especially when typing with one hand. Like any other unique twist on a traditional keyboard, you’d have to give it a few minutes to get used to where the letters are and the new way it works. After giving it some practice, you may find this is a faster way to type on a touch-screen — especially with one hand, as the targets are so large. Google Play is full of replacement keyboards for Android phones and tablets. Keyboards are just another type of app that you can swap in.   I'm having a problem adding the DNS server role to my Windows 2008 Server domain controller. Normally, when I use dcpromo to create a new domain, the DNS service gets installed automatically without error. However, I'm getting this fatal 0x80070643 error. It has nothing to do with my network adapters not having an IP address (as stated by Microsoft), since one of my NICs has a static IP. Has anyone else seen this issue before?
