• Java Classpath Issues with Webservices(CXF) and Jboss

  I am using CXF(which autogenerates my webservices in my pom.xml from my wsdl) with JBoss(eclipse ide), and I am having some trouble accessing the webservice from my web application. I found this resource: http://blog.progs.be/?p=92 but I am having a really hard time using WSDL_LOCATION = cl.getResource( "my/progam/pack/wsdl/myService.wsdl" ); to work properly in my code. I have my wsdls located in src/main/wsdl and have added the following line to the .classpath file: classpathentry kind="src" path="src/main/wsdl" I also created the folders my,program,pack,wsdl and dropped my wsdls into that location, so it is accessible. However, the classloader.getResource call always returns null no matter what. When I specify getResource( "/wsdl/myService.wsdl" ) it does not return null, but I believe it looks at the full file path and not what I need (considering part of the URL contains the path to the wsdl file all the way through the jboss server directory and includes the WEB-INF dir. Is my .classpath file set up incorrectly or am I missing something else? if the WSDL Location is not correct it always throws a ClassCast Exception like so: java.lang.ClassCastException: org.apache.cxf.jaxws.ServiceImpl at javax.xml.ws.Service.(Service.java:81)

But how can I create Event.music.count() ? Should I call self.all() in count_music() function of MusicManager to query only on elements with 'Music' category or do I still need to filter through them in search for category first ?

  OS: Ubuntu 12.10 Server 64bits I've installed Icinga, with ido2db, pnp4nagios and icinga-web (last release, following the instruction given in the documentation, installation with apt, etc). I am using icinga-web to monitor my hosts. For the moment, I have just my localhost, and all is perfect. • Strange problem with MySQL full text query

  This probably has something to do with my understanding of full text search or perhaps a known issue. My Java code creates search term for full text search on MySQL like this - +word* This works fine if the value in the DB column contains more text than the word itself. However, if the value is exact - no result are returned. I expected it to return results when value is an exact match. Let me give an example - Assume that DB has column name with value "Manish", now if I search with this - +Manis* It does return the result correctly, but if I try this - +Manish* It doesn't return any result, though exact match exists in DB column - Name. How can I obtain the desired behaviour in both these cases? Removing + sign works, but it returns far too many results when there are two or more words. Any help, pointers would be highly appreciated! I am using MySQL 5.0 TIA, - Manish

  Hi, It seems the universe is against me this week. I have been happily coding away on my ASP.Net application for weeks now without issues. Today I tried to add a textbox to a form, and on saving the form, I received the following error: Generation of designer file failed: Cannot use a leading .. to exit above the top directory I googled, but with no luck.   Hey guys, In my app, i have an import option, to read info from a .csv or .txt file and write it to a database. To test, i"m just using 200-300 lines of data. At the beginning of the method, i calculate number of objects/lines to be read. Every time an object is written to the database, i want to update my progressbar.   TelephonyManager.getNetworkType() returns one of the constant values. It appears that the constant values have an integer order, by possible bearer link speed. I know using constant values used in the following manner is generally bad, however could one use this to determine a basic cutoff for application functionality and have it work between API levels?   Currently, I have an HQL query that returns all Members who possess ANY Award from a set of specified Awards: from Member m left join m.awards as a where a.name in ("Trophy","Ribbon"); What I now need is HQL that will return all Members who possess ALL Awards specified in the set of Awards. So, assuming this data: Joe has Trophy, Medal Sue has Trophy, Ribbon Tom has Trophy, Ribbon, Medal The query above would return Joe, Sue, and Tom because all three possess at least one of Trophy or Ribbon. But I need to return only Sue and Tom, because they are the only ones who possess all of the specified awards (Trophy and Ribbon). • JNI problem when calling a native library that loads another native library

  I've got a bit of an odd problem. I have a project in C++ that's basically a wrapper for a third party DLL like this: MyLibrary --loads DLL_A ----loads DLL_B I load DLL_A with LoadLibrary(), wrap several of its functions and generate my own DLL. I've tested this in a C++ project and a C# project. Both do everything they're supposed to do: load DLL_A, make a couple of function calls, and indirectly load DLL_B. The problem is when I build a DLL for java and make the calls through JNI. Everything runs like it should (no java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError), but when it comes time for DLL_A to load DLL_B it doesn't work. From debugging, the loading of DLL_B happens on a function call in DLL_A that takes a callback. When called from Java, this function call seems to fail (the function pointer is fine and the actual call goes off without a hitch), and I get an odd pop-up window saying DLL_B failed to load, and my program is left waiting for a callback that never happens. I can explicitly load DLL_B just fine (both from Java and from C++) and I've checked every possible path, path variable, and tried placing the dlls everywhere to see if it could be looking somewhere funny. I'm pretty sure it's not a path problem. Ultimately I don't know how DLL_A is loading DLL_B and I can't figure out why everything works fine in C++ and C#, but not in Java. I'm absolutely flummoxed. It could still be something specific to my setup (although I've looked as hard as I can look), but I'm throwing this scenario out there to see if anyone has run into a similar problem. -Dave

  I was just playing around with some code in LINQPad and managed to crash the program with a stackoverflow exception. I basically created a static property in a class and used another property to return the value from an instance. The getter of my instance property would return the value of the static property, but the setter would set itself. When would this type of pattern be used and how come it generated a stackoverflow exception? • Spring MVC Web PetClinic Tutorial?

  Is there a tutorial that goes along with the PetClinic application? I have been trying to find one, but google is not helping me today. Shouldnt it need to return some sort of ModelAndView? Or does the application somehow redirect to whatever is returned?   I have a class that has an output() method which returns a matplotlib Figure instance. I have a decorator I wrote that takes that fig instance and turns it into a Django response object. I'm thinking it has something to do with self not getting passed where it's supposed to...

• Big smart ViewModels, dumb Views, and any model, the best MVVM approach?

  The following code is a refactoring of my previous MVVM approach (Fat Models, skinny ViewModels and dumb Views, the best MVVM approach?) in which I moved the logic and INotifyPropertyChanged implementation from the model back up into the ViewModel. This makes more sense, since as was pointed out, you often you have to use models that you either can't change or don't want to change and so your MVVM approach should be able to work with any model class as it happens to exist. This example still allows you to view the live data from your model in design mode in Visual Studio and Expression Blend which I think is significant since you could have a mock data store that the designer connects to which has e.g. the smallest and largest strings that the UI can possibly encounter so that he can adjust the design based on those extremes. Questions: I'm a bit surprised that I even have to "put a timer" in my ViewModel since it seems like that is a function of INotifyPropertyChanged, it seems redundant, but it was the only way I could get the XAML UI to constantly (once per second) reflect the state of my model. So it would be interesting to hear anyone who may have taken this approach if you encountered any disadvantages down the road, e.g. with threading or performance. The following code will work if you just copy the XAML and code behind into a new WPF project. • Problem's running unittest test suite OO

  Hello, I have a test suite to perform smoke tests. I have all my script stored in various classes but when I try and run the test suite I can't seem to get it working if it is in a class.   I seem to have a unicode problem with the deal_instance_name in the Deal model. It says: coercing to Unicode: need string or buffer, __proxy__ found The exception happens on this line: return smart_unicode(self.deal_type.deal_name) + _(u' - Set No.') + str(self.set) The line works if I remove smart_unicode(self.deal_type.deal_name) but why? Back then in Django 1.1 someone had the same problem on Stackoverflow I have tried both the unicode() as well as the new smart_unicode() without any joy. • Saving State Dynamic UserControls...Help!

  I have page with a LinkButton on it that when clicked, I'd like to add a Usercontrol to the page. I need to be able to add/remove as many controls as the user would like. The Usercontrol consists of three dropdownlists. The first dropdownlist has it's auotpostback property set to true and hooks up the OnSelectedIndexChanged event that when fired will load the remaining two dropdownlists with the appropriate values. My problem is that no matter where I put the code in the host page, the usercontrol is not being loaded properly. I know I have to recreate the usercontrols on every postback and I've created a method that is being executed in the hosting pages OnPreInit method. I'm still getting the following error: The control collection cannot be modified during DataBind, Init, Load, PreRender or Unload phases.
