  • Problem with running a program from flashdrive

    I have a USB drive with two partitions in it, one hidden and one normal. I have an application which swaps the memory and runs the flash application in hidden zone. The problem is that the application works fine on Windows 7 and when run on Win XP, it swaps the partitions but doesn't run the flash applications but just keeps running in the background. I can see it in task manager. But, when I copy the application to desktop and run, it runs with no glitch. I was facing the same problem on Win 7 too, but it was running as required when I ran it using "Run in XP mode" and then I applied a SHIM and is running since then as required. The application is built using VC++ 2008. does anyone know the solution?

    I'm making a simple form which has 5 input elements for parts of an address. I use jQuery to build and send an AJAX request to a PHP file on my server. For some reason my jQuery is not properly able to read the values from my input elements. What could be wrong?     Hi! Here is a challenging question! Let me first tell you my scenario how am i implementing a solution to a problem. I am reading a log file and displaying it on the JTextArea. Log file is cp037 character coded. I was reading each file as a byte stream or byte array from the log file & displaying it. Anyways, i managed to display the text properly in JTextArea by cp037 character coding. Now, User may select a set of characters in the JTextArea. All i want is the position of first character of the user's selected text, from a nearest special character '+'(its character code in cp037 is 4E), which is prior to the selected text. This character may occur at several places in the JTextArea. In simple sentence, i want the first character location(of user selected text) from nearset '+' which should be occuring prior to the user's selected text. PS: cp037 is a type of character encoding scheme which is created by IBM & used for IBM Mainframes. Please fell free to ask me if the question is not clear...:-

  • Need to determine button clicked in a JQuery mobile popup and perform actions based thereon

    I am having a problem with a JQM popup. The popup has 3 buttons, and the action taken in the main program depends on which button is clicked. The code in the main program is run more than once and I am not sure why. The simple example below uses an alert to display which button on the popup was clicked.     I have a span text block inside a paragraph. Inside this span block I have two paragraph breaks. On webkit, the browser renders the first paragraph correctly but fails back to browser default settings on the last two. I'm looking for a way to produce a dynamic activity based on a JSON object. Here an example of a JSON object: [ { "name": "my checkbox name", "type": "checkbox", "value": "one,two,three" } { "name": "my edit text", "type": "text", "value": "" } ...] This JSONObject could be totally random. I could have 2 text views, 3 select menus, 1 text view and so on. The goal is to iterate over this JSONObject and create the appropriate elements within my android code. To produce the result I've thought of a simple switch which would render one by one my different JSONObject to an android widget. But after that how could I have access of every property of every widget rendered? Thank you.

  • LSUIElement behaves inconsistently with activateIgnoringOtherApps

    Specifically, it behaves inconsistently regarding text field focus. I have an LSUIElement popping up a status menu. Within that menu there is a view containing a text field. The text field needs to be selectable -- not necessarily selected by default, but whichever. When the status item is clicked, it triggers [NSApp activateIgnoringOtherApps:YES]; And it works, about half the time.* The other half the status menu seems to consider itself "in the background" and won't let me put focus on the text field even by clicking on it. (I know the status item click-trigger is firing b/c there's an NSLog on it.) Is this a bug in the way Apple handles these status items, or am I mishandling activateIgnoringOtherApps? *In fact, it seems to fail only the first time after another app is activated.
