  • Creating an Excel 2007 bubble chart with date values in axis

    I'm trying to create a graph showing the duration of issue resolution. I believe a bubble chart in excel will show what I want but I can't manage to get it working correctly. For each date I have a number of days (duration) and a number of issues (magnitude). Most dates have a duration of 1 with a large magnitude, and I want to avoid the outliers dominating the chart. e.g. 1-Feb, 1, 15 1-Feb, 2, 10 1-Feb, 9, 1 2-Feb, 1, 11 2-Feb, 2, 14 2-Feb, 6, 2 2-Feb, 18, 1 etc. I want the data in this example to give me 2 columns of bubbles. When I try to get excel to create the chart I can't get the date to appear at on the x axis; I get a count (representing the row of the data) instead, and as each row is a separate column, the values don't line up for the date. Can this be done in Excel 2007 without using VBA?

exist for the emailaddress dont update data else create a user and update its profilexml from data fecthed from gedcom. for this i think i need some soln by which i can do only one roundtrip to database and can update all user's xml. or i can execute one sp to get userid from all users where i'll check if user exist then return userid else insert basic data and return inserted userid then for every user make xml from data and update it. please provide be suggestion what is best practice to do this kind of development. if need any more details please write me

  • Weird Excel Formatting

    Recently a new co-op was hired at our company and has been tasked to run a report. The report queries the database and returns a resultset and from there procedes to create the spreadsheets. Depending on the number of days selected a different number of reports are generated but I do not believe that is relavent to the question. Basically it runs the reports and loops through the resultset but at some point continues to loop through until tow 65536 at which it stops. For Example if the resultset contained 74 records then the first 74 rows would appear normally (formatted yellow) while everything after that would also be formatted yellow although it should be left alone. I am inheriting this code as I to am a new co-op. The query is extremely slow to run from which I believe is the use of views but thats neither here nor there. All you have to know is attempting to debug takes an enormous amount of time due to having to wait for the recordset to return. My guess is that its not checking to see if the resultset is empty correctly. Is there a way I could check to see if theres a value is rs.Fields(0) and base it off that maybe? That is the ID column and there should always be a value. I am wondering why rs.EOF isn't catching this though.

To be more specific, the XML file is the RSS source for the nuPack project. Any ideas would be very appreaciated on how to be able to read this document properly.

  • Labeling connections using Oracle Universal Connection Pool (UCP) doesn't seem to work

    I'm evaluating the Oracle Universal Connection Pool (UCP) included with their 11.2 JDBC driver, but cannot get the labeling functionality to work properly (which I'd like to use to minimize the amount of ALTER SESSION statements). I'm basically following their sample code to implement the ConnectionLabelingCallback interface. The callback method cost(Properties reqLabels, Properties currentLabels) is called as expected, so the callback seems to be configured correctly. However, the other callback method configure(Properties reqLabels, Object conn) is passed arguments that make it impossible to provide a meaningful implementation: reqLabels is always null, so the callback method has no way of knowing what labels need to be set. conn is of type oracle.jdbc.driver.T4CConnection, which cannot be cast to LabelableConnection, so the callback method has no way of inspecting or manipulating the labels attached to the connection. My code is running on Java 6 and using ojdbc6.jar and ucp.jar version 11.2.0.1.0. The database is actually 10.2, but that should not be a problem according to the docs, since the UCP functionality is completely implemented in the JDBC driver. Thanks in advance!

  • External USB attached drive works in Windows XP but not in Windows 7. How to fix?

    Earlier this week I purchased this "N52300 EZQuest Pro" external hard drive enclosure from here. I can connect the enclosure using USB 2.0 and access the files in both NTFS partitions on the MBR partitioned drive when I use either Windows XP (SP3) or Mac OS X 10.6. So it works as expected in XP & Snow Leopard. However, the enclosure does not work in Windows 7 (Home Premium) either 64-bit or 32-bit or in Ubuntu 10.04 (kernel 2.6.32-23-generic). I'm thinking this must be a Windows 7 driver problem because the enclosure works in XP & Snow Leopard. I do know that no special drivers are required to use this enclosure. It is supported using the USB mass storage drivers included with XP and OS X. It should also work fine using the mass storage support in Windows 7, no? FWIW, I have also tried using 32-bit Windows 7 on both my desktop, a Gigabyte GA-965P-DS3 with a Pentium Dual-Core E6500 @ 2.93GHz, and on my early 2008 MacBook. I see the same failure in both cases that I see with 64-bit Windows 7. So it doesn't appear to be specific to one hardware platform. I'm hoping someone out there can help me either get the enclosure to work in Windows 7 or convince me that the enclosure hardware is bad and should be RMAed. At the moment though an RMA seems pointless since this appears to be a (Windows 7) device driver problem. I have tried to track down any updates to the mass storage drivers included with Windows 7 but have so far come up empty. Heck, I can't even figure out how to place a bug report with Microsoft since apparently the grace period for Windows 7 email support is only a few months. I came across a link to some USB troubleshooting steps in another question. I haven't had a chance to look over the suggestions on that site or try them yet. Maybe tomorrow if I have time ... ;-) I'll finish up with some more details about the problem. When I connect the enclosure using USB to Windows 7 at first it appears everything worked. Windows detects the drive and installs a driver for it. Looking in Device Manager there is an entry under the Hard Drives section with the title, Hitachi HDT721010SLA360 USB Device. When you open Windows Disk Management the first time after the enclosure has been attached the drive appears as "Not initialize" and I'm prompted to initialize it. This is bogus. After all, the drive worked fine in XP so I know it has already been initialized, partitioned, and formatted. So of course I never try to initialize it "again". (It's a 1 GB drive and I don't want to lose the data on it). Except for this first time, the drive never shows up in Disk Management again unless I uninstall the Hitachi HDT721010SLA360 USB Device entry under Hard Drives, unplug, and then replug the enclosure. If I do that then the process in the previous paragraph repeats. In Ubuntu the enclosure never shows up at all at the file system level. Below are an excerpt from kern.log and an excerpt from the result of lsusb -v after attaching the enclosure. It appears that Ubuntu at first recongnizes the enclosure and is attempting to attach it, but encounters errors which prevent it from doing so. Today I recieved a 1394b 9 pin to 1394a 6 pin cable which allowed me to connect the "EZQuest Pro" via Firewire. Everything works. When I use Firewire I can connect whether I'm using Windows 7 or Ubuntu 10.04. I even tried booting my Gigabyte desktop as an OS X 10.6.3 Hackintosh and it worked there as well. (Though if I recall correctly, it also worked when using USB 2.0 and booting OS X on the desktop. Certainly it works with USB 2.0 and my MacBook.) I believe the firmware on the device is at the latest level available, v1.07. I base this on the excerpt below from the OS X System Profiler which shows Firmware Revision: 0x107. Bottom line: It's nice that the enclosure is actually usable when I connect with Firewire. But I am still searching for an answer as to why it does not work correctly when using USB 2.0 in Windows 7 (and Ubuntu ... but really Windows 7 is my biggest concern). The only way to restore connectivity is to restart the PC. Nothing else works. Have many other PC's on the same router also running windows 7 and no problems there. Have changed routers and problem remains. I have reinstalled the network drivers with no help. Any thoughts?

  • Outbound traffic being blocked for MIP/VIPped servers (Juniper SSG5)

    As we've been having some problems with sporadic packet loss, I've been preparing a replacement router (also an SSG5) for our current Juniper SSG5. I've setup the new SSG5 identically to the old one. We have a /29 IP range with a single IP setup as a MIP map to a server and two others being used for VIP maps. Each VIP/MIP is accompanied by relevant policies. Long story short - we tried connected the new SSG5 and some things were not working as they should. No problem, I just reconnected the old one. However, some things are still broken, even when I reconnected the old one. I fear I may have inadvertently changed some settings while browsing through old settings in my attempt to reconfigure the new SSG5 unit. All inbound traffic seems to work as expected. However, the 192.168.2.202 server can't initiate any outbound connections. It works perfectly on the local network, but any pings or DNS lookups to external IP's fail. The MIP & VIP map to it works perfectly - I can access it through HTTP and RDP without issues. Any tips on what to debug, or where I've messed up my config?   • Ubuntu 9.1 - Audio coming from both speakers and headphones

    I have an HP Compaq nc8230 that has an annoying little problem with it's audio devices in Ubuntu 9.1. When I have the headphones plugged in, the audio continues to play simultaneously through the speakers no matter what. I'm not sure what kind of sound card this computer has, but in WIndows XP, Vista, 7 and OSx86 I didn't have this problem. I've tried using 3 different headphones and it didn't change anything. Please help.

    Hi, i installed fms in my server, and already its running a apache for hp, so want to run this fms as a separate port in 8083 While installing i gave port number as 8083,and now its shows in "fms.ini" ADAPTOR.HOSTPORT = 1935,8083 I think it should listen any of these ports, but its not working while am acessing domain.com:8083 domain.com:1935 Please can some body tell me why its not working Thanks in advance
