  • Digest authentication using LDAP only

    - by Elephant
    Is there a way to validate digest authentication using LDAP only? I.e. if I have the following request from a client (stealed from Wikipedia): GET /dir/index.html HTTP/1.0 Host: localhost Authorization: Digest username="Mufasa", realm="[email protected]", nonce="dcd98b7102dd2f0e8b11d0f600bfb0c093", uri="/dir/index.html", qop=auth, nc=00000001, cnonce="0a4f113b", response="6629fae49393a05397450978507c4ef1", opaque="5ccc069c403ebaf9f0171e9517f40e41" could I validate the user against LDAP, meaning if I don't now user password hence is not able to construct a digest hash to compare with the response?

  • GAE HTTP method support

    - by areich
    I get an "unrecognized HTTP method" when trying to do a REPORT request using httplib and gae. Is there a workaround available? An httplib patch for gae? Do you I have to find another host in order to do this natively? According to the docs, only certain fetch actions are valid: GET, POST, HEAD, PUT, and DELETE: http://code.google.com/appengine/docs/python/urlfetch/ fetchfunction.html

  • Struts:JSON:return multiple objects

    - by cp
    Hello Is it possible to return multiple JSON objects in the request header with Struts1? I am presently returning a single JSON objects, however the need now is to return a second data structure. All the client-side processing works perfectly for the single data structure in the single JSON objects, I really do not want to complicate it by putting two hetrogenous data structures in a single return JSON object. tia.

  • What does the MVC Controller.UpdateModel<T>(T) actually try to do?

    - by unanswered
    When I submit my MVC Page I get an IvalidOperationException from System.Web.Mvc Controller object in the UpdateModel method. the MSDN documentation states that this method does the following: Updates the specified model instance using values from the controller's current value provider. Is the value provider referencing the current Request object? Or where exactly does it get the values that it is using to update the model? And what specifically does the UpdateModel method check and what does it 'mean' when it says that The model of type 'abcXYZ' was not successfully updated Thanks

  • how to get post content with groovy listening on a port?

    - by Amir Raminfar
    I wrote the following simple groovy code that handles a request. if (init) data = "" if (line.size() > 0) { data += "--> " + line + "\n" } else { println "HTTP/1.1 200 OK\n" println data println "----\n" return "success" } I then run it by doing groovy -l 8888 ServerTest.groovy However, it doesn't seem to print any POST data. I am testing it by doing curl -d "d=test" http://localhost:8888/ Does anybody know how to get that data in groovy?

  • Downloading large file with php

    - by Alessandro
    Hi, I have to write a php script to download potentially large files. The file I'm reporting here works fine most of the times. However, if the client's connection is slow the request ends (with status code 200) in the middle of the downloading, but not always at the very same point, and not at the very same time. I tried to overwrite some php.ini variables (see the first statements) but the problem remains. I don't know if it's relevant but my hosting server is SiteGround, and for simple static file requests, the download works fine also with slow connections. I've found Forced downloading large file with php but I didn't understand mario's answer. I'm new to web programming. So here's my code. <?php ini_set('memory_limit','16M'); ini_set('post_max_size', '30M'); set_time_limit(0); include ('../private/database_connection.php'); $downloadFolder = '../download/'; $fileName = $_POST['file']; $filePath = $downloadFolder . $fileName; if($fileName == NULL) { exit; } ob_start(); session_start(); if(!isset($_SESSION['Username'])) { // or redirect to login (remembering this download request) $_SESSION['previousPage'] = 'download.php?file=' . $fileName; header("Location: login.php"); exit; } if (file_exists($filePath)) { header('Content-Description: File Transfer'); header('Content-Type: application/octet-stream'); //header('Content-Disposition: attachment; filename='.$fileName); header("Content-Disposition: attachment; filename=\"$fileName\""); header('Content-Transfer-Encoding: binary'); header('Expires: 0'); header('Cache-Control: must-revalidate, post-check=0, pre-check=0'); //header('Pragma: public'); header('Content-Length: ' . filesize($filePath)); ob_clean(); flush(); // download // 1 // readfile($filePath); // 2 $file = @fopen($filePath,"rb"); if ($file) { while(!feof($file)) { print(fread($file, 1024*8)); flush(); if (connection_status()!=0) { @fclose($file); die(); } } @fclose($file); } exit; } else { header('HTTP/1.1 404 File not found'); exit; } ?>

  • To run two CGIs simultaneously

    - by Punit
    On my form onbutton submit following events takes place: 1) CGI is called which uploads the file 2) Javascript/Ajax function is called which opens a request for another CGI and is supposed to receive updated values from there. However, it seems that the CGI with which Ajax is communicating is not responding to Ajax requests. My question is that is it possible to run two CGIs simultaneously?

  • Refactor a link and an image

    - by Mihail Stoynov
    I have to write an link with an image inside. Instead of explaining, here's the code I have now: <c:if test="${userSession.loggedUser eq null and company.image != null}"> <a onclick="${rich:component('loginPanel')}.show()"> <img src="/download.do?hash=#{company.image.hash}" /> </a> </c:if> <c:if test="${userSession.loggedUser eq null and company.image == null}"> <a onclick="${rich:component('loginPanel')}.show()"> <img src="${request.contextPath}/img/icons/logo_default.jpg" /> </a> </c:if> <c:if test="${userSession.loggedUser ne null and company.image != null}"> <a href="company.xhtml?${company.name}"> <img src="/download.do?hash=#{company.image.hash}" /> </a> </c:if> <c:if test="#{userSession.loggedUser ne null and company.image == null}"> <a href="company.xhtml?${company.name}"> <img src="${request.contextPath}/img/icons/logo_default.jpg" /> </a> </c:if> This code looks awful - there are two exact links with two exact images but combined in all possible combinations. Is there a better way? Is there a way to avoid c:if - it created tables? Update: Bozho proposes: You can replace <c:if and <a with <h:outputLink rendered="#{..}". Apart from that I don't see any other optimization. But it doesn't work. This does not render correctly: <a href=> <h:outputLink rendered="#{..} <h:outputLink rendered="#{..} </a> (the image is outside the anchor) This does render fine: <h:outputLink value=> <h:outputLink rendered="#{..} <h:outputLink rendered="#{..} </a> , but it always adds href and in two of the cases I don't want href when rendered.

    - by Hemant Kothiyal
    In asp.net global.asax, where should i write code to assign role in httpcontext.user? What i have read in site is that it should be part of "Application_onPostauthentication" event of global.asax but i am not getting that if i write there then it is execute for each request of user. I think this should fetch one for one authentication at session. I don't know even why microsoft also suggest to write code there? Please if anybody know the fact make me clear?

  • Should I cache the XRDS file returned in openid?

    - by Joseph
    In the initial part of the openid sequence, I request the OP (e.g. Yahoo.com) and get back the XRDS file which tells me the actual URL I need to use for the rest of the openid process. So, can I cache this initial file. E.g. if I have hundreds of users using a Yahoo openid, I would only have to do the initial fetch once every hour?

  • GUI HTTP client

    - by JW
    Does anyone know of a good GUI HTTP testing client that runs on OS X? Something that will allow me to enter a request (URL, headers, body, etc.), and view the response, preferably in different formats (hex, text, etc.). I found one called HTTP Client, but it's kind of buggy. Google is failing me.

  • AngularJS recursive directive with a dynamic HTML template (bounty)

    - by Nazar Sobchuk
    I have a realy hard task here. I am working on an AngularJS web app, which is capable of sending different HTTP methods to our project's Restful Web Service and receiving responses in JSON. Basicaly it looks like this: You can create some REST resource from this application. Let's say an exam. To create an exam - you pick a resource from a list of available resources. This triggers a function, that sends a request to localhost:8080/STEP/api/explain/resorceName and gets a description for this resource. Description looks like this: http://jsonblob.com/534fc022e4b0bb44248d6460 After receiving a response - I start building input fields like follows (allFields - array of field objects for this resource, enumValues - enum values for resource's field if it's property isEnum = true): <div ng-repeat="field in allFields"> <div ng-show={{!field.isEnum}}> <p ng-show={{field.isRequired}}>{{field.name}}*: </p> <p ng-show={{!field.isRequired}}>{{field.name}}: </p> <input type="text" ng-model="updateEntityResource[field.name]" ng-change="getUpdateEntityAsText()" class="form-control" placeholder="{{parseClassName(field.type)}}"> </div> <div ng-show={{field.isEnum}}> <p ng-show={{field.isRequired}}>{{field.name}}*: </p> <p ng-show={{!field.isRequired}}>{{field.name}}: </p> <select ng-model="updateEntityResource[field.name]" ng-change="getUpdateEntityAsText()" class="form-control"> <option></option> <option ng-repeat="enumValue in field.enumValues" label={{enumValue.name}}>{{enumValue.ordinal}}</option> </select> </div> </div> Now, the problem. I need to create a recursive directive, which would be capable of generating fields in such maner as described above for every resource's field that has "restResourceName" not null. To get all it's fields you just send a request to localhost:8080/STEP/api/explain/restResourceName and get similar JSON response as shown above, which is then used to build HTML elements for inputing values into model. Does anyone know how this can be achieved using angular recursive directive? Every useful answer is highly appreciated and evaluated. The correct answer will get +50 or I will start a bounty, because I'm realy stuck with this for 2 days. If you need any additional info - let me know. Thank you.

  • Preferred Options for Webservice to Android

    - by Tim Almond
    I need to get an Android app to interface with an XML webservice (it's really just a request which returns XML), but as the data is large and includes some things I don't need (like a huge description block), I was thinking of transforming it via a server into a format that would be good for Android, and also to be reduced considering it will be used in a low bandwidth area. Does anyone have any suggestions for a good lightweight protocol? I'm especially thinking about libraries for Android that already exist for say REST or even delimited data.
