Does anyone know of a code sample in objective-c for traceroute?
NOTE- I am looking for a code implementation of traceroute/tcptraceroute, NOT a utility.
Hi,
I am into microsoft technology and getting a project which is Implementation of IAM (Novell Edirectory). Does it makes sense to move from .Net as i have experience of 4 years now on it.
Since i dont have any knowledge as to how this tech is and how it can help me, so any suggestion or advice will help.
Thanks for your advice in advance.
I have a database full of translations I'd like to generate either .po or .mo files. I'm using C#, but I could also port an implementation from PHP if one exists. I can't find any examples in any languages using anything other than GNUs gettext utilities. Does anyone know of one?
Using Qt’s Webkit implementation renders much slower than directly implementing the Webkit engine -- is this true or just a myth?
From my own experience, I found the load time of a complex page about twice as long in Qt’s “Fancy Browser” example as it does in Google Chrome (which also incorporates a port of Webkit), but I hardly think that is a fair comparison.
Any insights on this?
Hi all
I need to develop applications doing linear algebra + eigenvalue + linear equation solutions over a cluster of pcs ( I have a lot of machines available ).
I discovered Scalapack libraries but they seem to me developed long time ago.
Do you know if these are other libs available that I should learn doing math & linear algebra in a cluster?
My language is C++ and off course I am newbie to this topic.
Kind Regards to everybody

i need a simple implementation of ftp that i can setup quickly for some experiments.
is there an equivalent of python -m SimpleHTTPServer for ftp.
Google sarch didn't help.
i just need a simple implentation of ftp that is easy to setup. (so i don't have to go through the installation trouble for a lot of PC's).
I would like to be able to automate creating spreadsheets and adding data to an OpenOffice spreadsheet using a script (any scripting language is acceptable - PowerShell, Python, or even JavaScript).
What is a suitable library or tutorial?
I'm attempting to build a custom SpinBoxField on the Blackberry that displays an icon next to text. I've been unable to find any example code. Subclassing drawRow, get, and getCount() have got me part of the way there, but my implementation still doesn't look or work like the TextSpinBoxField in the RIM Blackberry library.
Has anyone source code for such a field that they would be willing to share here?
I'm developing a project with two different sites, divided by
language. Maybe I was terribly wrong, but now my directory structure
looks like:
/ruapp/settings.py # SITE_ID = 1
/ruapp/manage.py
/enapp/settings.py # SITE_ID = 2
/enapp/manage.py
/common/urls.py
/common/ # almost every other file
/common/templates/ # templates with {% trans %}
/locale/ # with locales ru-ru and en-us, generated by calling
makemessages from the root of all this structure
How to tell django about the locale? It does not seem like it will
find the /locale/ folder by itself
I have an ASPX page with an AsyncFileUpload control from the AJAX Control Toolkit, but when I try to tab through the tab order, the tab will not allow a tab past the filepath textbox (part of the AsyncFileUpload control). This control is contained within an update panel (if that matters in this implementation).
How can I continue on in the tab order?
Thank you,

CSS isn't, insofar as I know, Turing complete. But my knowledge of CSS is very limited.
Is CSS Turing complete?
Are any of the existing draft or committees considering language features that might enable Turing completeness if it isn't right now?
i need to automatically change the RadDatePicker from normal calendar to Hijri. the idea is that i need to show a hijri calendar if the users's browser language is set to arabic.

I started my project in Asp.net MVC(c#) & SQL Server 2005.I want to implement Object Databases in my project.
While searched in google i found "MongoDb" & db4o
I didn't have enough knowledge in Object Databases & which one best suited for SQL Server 2005.
Please suggest a good example/reference regarding Object Databases implementation in Asp.net MVC application
I want to come up with a language syntax. I have read a bit about these three, and can't really see anything that one can do that another can't. Is there any reason to use one over another? Or is it just a matter of preference?
This is a trend I've noticed. There is a very large adoption of ruby from the java community. Is it that c# is such an awesome language + having good tools over java that most c# developers aren't as keen to switching to ruby permanently as java developers are?
What are your opinions?
Greeting,
I'm a C# programmer guy. I'm planning to start developing app for iphone but I'm not sure if I should use C# under MonoTouch or just use the native language for iphone OS Objective C.
Is there a different to program for iphone app using C# or Objective C?
Is there limitation using C# to program app for iphone or it can do as much as Objective C can do to develop iphone app?
I've read it's entry in the language reference (Intel's), but I cannot quite grasp what it does. Could someone in layman's terms explain it to me, what it means when it is included in a module ?
After updating to Parsec 3.1 from 2.x, code using many1, such as word = many1 letter fails with
No instance for (Stream s m Char) arising from a use of `letter'
I found a mailing list post claiming that adding {-#LANGUAGE NoMonomorphismRestriction #-} to the top of the source file would solve the problem, but it did not.
Assume you have a vector like so:
v <- c(1,1,1,2,2,2,2,1,1,3,3,3,3)
How can it be best reduced to a data.frame like this?
v.df <- data.frame(value=c(1,2,1,3),repetitions=c(3,4,2,4))
In a procedural language I might just iterate through a loop and build the data.frame as I go, but with a large dataset in R such an approach is inefficient. Any advice?
I am trying to add my first unit test to an existing Open Source project. Specifically, I added a new class, called audio_manager:
src/audio/audio_manager.h
src/audio/audio_manager.cc
I created a src/test directory structure that mirrors the structure of the implementation files, and wrote my googletest unit tests:
src/test/audio/audio_manager.cc
Now, I am trying to set up my Makefile.am to compile and run the unit test:
src/test/audio/Makefile.am
I copied Makefile.am from:
src/audio/Makefile.am
Does anyone have a simple recipe for me, or is it to the cryptic automake documentation for me? :)
I started my project in Asp.net MVC(c#) & MSSQL 2005.I want to implement Object Databases in my project.

CheckPara is my OnDataBinding procedure
SqlDataSource1 is ObjectDataSource (it's only confusing name)
Language is Nemerle, but if you know C# you can read it easy
protected virtual CheckPara(_ : object, _ : System.EventArgs) : void
{
foreach(x is Parameter in SqlDataSource1.SelectParameters)
when(x.DefaultValue=="") //Cancel binding
}
so how can I cancel binding when there is not fully configurated ObjectDataSource ?
Or... how can I run binding only when I done with all parameters ?
I'm using a game physics library (Box2D) which only supports convex polygon shapes. However, I'd like the level builder to be able to just specify concave polygons without having to worry about that.
So, how can I automatically break apart a concave polygon into convex ones (or even all triangles).
Speed would be cool, but ease of implementation is more important. The breaking apart will only be done on game initialization.
(My language is Flash/ActionScript 3, but that shouldn't matter)
Hi All,
I am new to programming, and have been given many interviews for jobs, but what I lag is the concepts and skills of general problem solving not respect to any particular programming language.
are there any books or material available which can help me upgrade my programming skills.
looking forward for you guys to share your views.
Thanks a millions..

I am looking for a JavaScript array insert method, in the style of:
arr.insert(index, item)
Preferably in jQuery, but any JavaScript implementation will do at this point because I can't believe the trouble I'm having finding such a basic function! Thanks for your help.
