  • How to Create an Array from a Single Variable and Form Multiple Foreach Loops?

    I'm fairly proficient in HTML/CSS, but very new when it comes to the likes of PHP and Javascript. I've jumped headfirst into coding Wordpress shortcodes (basically php functions), and so far, through trial and error and seemingly endless browser refreshes, I've been able to figure everything out. I just hit a huge wall though, hence why I'm here. Basically, I'm trying to give an attribute a list of values like: attr="23, 95, 136, ect" The function then needs to take that attribute variable and create an array with it: $arr = array($attr); To me that seems as if it would work, but the array takes the whole list as one value instead. After doing that I want to create a foreach loop that parses each number from the list, possibly through yet another foreach loop if possible, and returns a section of code for each one, and I'm not quite sure how to pull that off either. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

  • How do I avoid multiple key up/down/press events when holding a key?

    I'm creating a web front end to control a small robot. Ajax calls will be made on a keydown, to start the robot, and keyup to stop it. My problem is that when a key is held down the keyup, keydown, and keypress events seem to cycle continually. Does anybody know of a way to only have keydown fire when the key is first pressed and keyup to fire when it has been released?

  • How to perform multiple find and replace in TextMate besides macro?

    I have several regular expressions to find and replace text in documents in TextMate. I would like to be able to have them run in a batch. I made a macro and it worked, but any tiny modifications to the macro means re-recording the macro. And I can't seem to modify the regex within the TextMate interface. It's read-only for some reason. Can I make it into a command? Does anyone know how? I tried to read the TextMate help about commands, but it wasn't much help. It seems I need prior knowledge of shell scripts or some sort (which I have none). Any advise in the direction would be great. Thanx in advance.

  • Is there a script that would allow me to edit multiple files as if they are one file in VIM?

    I prefer to edit in one large file rather than many independent files, but due to limitations in languages, source control, and the preference of team mates I need to output to many files. What I'm looking for would recurse through all the files in a source directory and generate a single file to edit in VIM, with special file seperator markers. On save it would save the the changes to the correct file(s) ideally in a smart manner, based only on changes made. Does something like this exist?

  • How to use multiple identity numbers in one table?

    I have an web application that creates printable forms, these forms have a unique number on them, the problem is I have 2 forms that separate numbers need to be created for them. ie) Form1- Numbered 2000000-2999999 Form2- Numbered 3000000-3999999 dbo.test2 - is my form information table Tsel - is my autoinc table for the 3000000 series numbers Tadv - is my autoinc table for the 2000000 series numbers What I have done is create 2 tables with just autoinc row (one for 2000000 series numbers and one for 3000000 series numbers), I then created a trigger to add a record to the coresponding table, read back the autoinc number and add it to my table that stores the form information including the just created autoinc number for the right series of forms. Although it does work, I'm concerned that the numbers will get messed up under load. I'm not sure the @@IDENTITY will always return the right value when many people are using the system. (I cannot have duplicates and I need to use the numbering form show above.     I have a simple query over a table, which returns results like the following: id id_type id_ref 2702 5 31 2702 16 14 2702 17 3 2702 40 1 2702 26 4 And I would like to merge the results into a single row, for instance: id concatenation 2702 5,16,17,40,26:31,14,3,1,4 Is there any way to do this within a trigger? NB: I know I can use a cursor, but I would really prefer not to unless there is no better way.

    Currently, I have osmething like this in all of my classes: # Import logging to log information import logging # Set up the logger LOG_FILENAME = 'log.txt' logging.basicConfig(filename=LOG_FILENAME,level=logging.DEBUG) This works well, and I get the output I want, but I would really like to have all this sort of information in one place, and be able to just do something like import myLogger and then start logging, and then hopefully be able to just go into that file and turn off logging when I need an extra performance boost. Data in this table may be deleted, so I'm planning to run a stored procedure after the user is done editing to re-sequence the table.

    Lets say I have an application with a structure such as: System set date set name set something Other set death ray target calibrate and I want to have "back" and "next" buttons on a page. The catch is, if you're going in via the "wizard", I want the nav path to be something like "set name" - "set death ray target" - "set name". If you go via the Advanced options menu, I want to just iterate options... "set date" - "set name" - "set something" - "set death ray target" - calibrate. So far, I'm thinking I have to use different URIs, but that's that. Any ideia how this could be done? Thanks.

  • nodejs, mongodb - How do I operate on data from multiple queries?

    Hi all, I'm new to JS in general, but I am trying to query some data from MongoDB. Basically, my first query retrieves information for the session with the specified session id. The second query does a simple geospacial query for documents with a location near the specified location. I'm using the mongodb-native javascript driver. All of these query methods return their results in callbacks, so they're non-blocking. This is the root of my troubles. What I'm needing to do is retrieve the results of the second query, and create an Array of sessionIds of all the returned documents. Then I'm going to pass those to a function later. But, I can't generate this array and use it anywhere outside the callback. Does anyone have any idea how to properly do this? http://dpaste.org/wXiE/

    Im trying to parse an xml feed that looks something like this: <item> <title>item title</title> <link>item link</link> <description>item description</description> </item> I'm trying to find an xpath expression that will retrieve all the details of each item so that each item in the feed is contained within its own array or grouped in some way. I tried using //item/* but the tags are not grouped, although they are correctly ordered. Is there anyway of doing that? edit: [ [title1, link1, desc1], [title2, link2, desc2], [title3, link3, desc3] ]

  • Can I split a single SQL 2008 DB Table into multiple filegroups, based on a discriminator column?

    Hi folks, I've got a SQL Server 2008 R2 database which has a number of tables. Two of these tables contains a lot of large data .. mainly because one of them is VARBINARY(MAX) and the sister table is GEOGRAPHY. (Why two tables? Read Below if you're interested***) The data in these tables are geospatial shapes, such as zipcode boundaries. Now, the first 70K odd rows are for DataType = 1 the rest 5mil rows are for DataType = 2 Now, is it possible to split the table data into two files? so all rows that are for DataType != 2 goes into File_A and DataType = 2 goes into File_B? This way, when I backup the DB, I can skip adding File_B so my download is waaaaay smaller? Is this possible? I guessing you might be thinking - why not keep them as TWO extra tables? Mainly because in the code, the data is conceptually the same .. it's just happens that I want to split the storage of this model data. It really messes up my model if I now how two aggregates in my model, instead of one. ***Entity Framework doesn't like Tables with GEOGRAPHY, so i have to create a new table which transforms the GEOGRAPHY to VARBINARY, and then drop that into EF.

    I have a table with a schema of Table(number, ref, ref, varchar2, varchar2,...). How would I insert a row of data into this table? When I do: "insert into table values (1, select ref(p), ref(d), '239 F.3d 1343', '35 USC § 283', ... from plaintiff p, defendant d where p.name='name1' and d.name='name2');" I get a "missing expression" error. If I do: "insert into table 1, select ref(p), ref(d), ... from plaintiff p, defendant where p.name=...;" I get a "missing keyword VALUES" error.

What I am trying to do is sort the array by owner name and then by publication_name. I know in JavaScript you have Array.sort(), into which you can put a custom function, in my case i have: function mysortfunction(a, b) { var x = a[3].toLowerCase(); var y = b[3].toLowerCase(); return ((x < y) ? -1 : ((x > y) ? 1 : 0)); } This is fine for just sorting on the one column, namely owner_name, but how do I modify it to sort on owner_name, then publication_name?     I'm working on a python based server product where a user can install WSGI-based python apps on their server. I can enforce any restriction on the application structure or format to make this easy. The user workflow would be: browse an app market, showing a list of WSGIpython apps select an app and choose "install" the app would be downloaded from a remote server to the user's server the http server would then have to be configured to start serving that application from the app's id, ex. a blog app with an id of "blog" at "/blog/", so all requests below /blog/ would be seen as root by the blog application.
