• Safari wrapping too early

  I've created a class web page with a page for midterm review. It uses jsMath to turn Tex into nice math. (MathML looks awful) Anyway, I would occasionally like to have several problems per line. Each problem is in its own <span>, so if it needs to wrap, it won't split the problem. It all seems to work, except that Safari for the Mac seems overly anxious to wrap, sometimes wrapping at 30% paragraph width. Even under inspection, it reports a width of 663px, but wrapping occurs at around 150px. There is no padding. Firefox renders just fine. • Remote Router Access For Linksys WRT54GL

  Hi, I just set up a wireless network at home using a Linksys WRT54GL. All was fine except that I can still access 192.168.1.1, the configuration setup page of the router, within the local wireless after I disabled "Remote Management". I think if remote access is indeed disabled, one can access my router setup page only by using a cable connecting from his computer to the router. Is this true or am I wrong? Thanks and regards!

  I have a pdf page displayed with CGContextDrawPDFPage in QuartzDemo sample application. I want to keep this page shown and have an image slide in from top over this page, just as it can be seen in the iBooks application. It's a book, the sliding image is a bookmark that slides in when you are about to close the book. • Use ASP.Net server control code generation from .ashx

  I'm trying to take an existing bunch of code that was previously on a full .aspx page, and do the same stuff in a .ashx handler. The code created an HtmlTable object, added rows and cells to those rows, then added that html table the .aspx's controls collection, then added it to a div that was already on the page. I am trying to keep the code in tact but instead of putting the control into a div, actually generate the html and I'll return that in a big chunk of text that can be called via AJAX client-side. HtmlTable errors out when I try to use the InnerHtml property (says it isn't supported), and when I try RenderControl, after making first a TextWriter and next an HtmlTextWriter object, I get the error that Page cannot be null. Has anyone done this before? Any suggestions?

  Hello i have a login page so once the user enters the correct details he enters into the home page. Now i want to implement 3 things once he clicks the button 'log out' he must be redirected to a page saying" logged out successfully " n even if clicks the back button in the browser, he should not be able to access. if the user leaves the homepage idle for a specific amount of time say 10minutes and then he tries to navigate after 10 mins a msg should display saying "Your Session has been expired login again" if given the url of homepage he shouldnt be able to access unless logged in. • How do you separate the template of a blog block in Drupal?

  Hi, In Drupal, I created a block using views. This block contains the latest blog entries. I've placed this on a specific page to display it as an archive. Now, as for the blog itself (for example when one of them is clicked), A blog template for it depends on node-blog.tpl.php. My problem is, when I style node-blog.tpl.php, the block I created for the archives (as it displays on the page) gets affected. For example if I add TEST on node-blog.tpl.php, I will also get that on the block for every entry. I think it's because it is associated to a blog entry? What I want is to have node-blog styled "alone" when blog entries are viewed individually and not get the other entries on the blocks on the archive page be affected. How should I do this?

• Django Per-site caching using memcached

  Hi, So I'm using per-site caching on a project and I've observed the following, which is kind of confusing. When I load a flat page in my browser then change it through admin and then do a refresh (within the cache timeout) there is no change in the page--as expected. However when I stat a new session in a different browser and load the page (still within the timeout) the app is hit instead of the cache, with the Isn't the cache key generated from the URL? it seems that the session state is getting in there somewhere, which is causing a cache miss. • Current URL with PHP

  I have a link shortener system (Yourls) set up so you can go to the short url with ?url=[xyz] (where [xyz] is the url you wan to shorten) added to the end will shorten the URL. I want to add a link to a separate page (on my MediaWiki wiki) that shortens the permalink of the page that it is on. I need to add the button to my template in a way that will add the URL of the current page to the link. MediaWiki is a PHP platform, so that is preferred (but JavaScript is fine too). How can I do this? (I apologize if this is confusing)

  I'm looking for an easy way to assign a post number to each post in wordpress and display it out of the total number of posts. A little info: There will be about 100 "posts", each on its own page I want users to click through each post, so start at post 1 and click "next post" to get to post 2 I want it to say post 4/100 at the top for each post I want the URL to have the post name in it I was going to use WP-PageNavi and set each page to display 1 post, however I need the url to show /post-name/ and not /page/2/ I know I can count total number of posts pretty easily, any idea how I can assign a number to each post without having to do it manually? I'd like to sort by date added.

• Generated Word 2007 prints scrunched up

  Our website generates Word 2007 documents from database data by creating the xml, zipping it and sending it as a MIME attachment. Usually, this works fine. On occasion, the document will look fine on the screen, but not when printed. The letters end up scrunched together. Here is an example. This is a 1 page document, the first page is a scan of the document printed correctly, the 2nd page is a scan of the same document printed with the problem. Here is the original document. Has anyone ever seen anything similar? I cannot figure out if this is a bug in the code that generates our XML, a bug in the printer driver or a bug in Word. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Please note that this document does not contain any real data other than public information, but disregard the contents - this is not an official document, and only meant to illustrate our problem.

  Coming from a SQL Server background, I'm a newbie with regard to HBase, but the technology looks to be a good fit for what we're doing and the cost is definitely right! I need to maintain a list of log entries which normally I would create in an RDBS as: create table Log ( UserID int, SiteID int, Page varchar(50), Date smalldatetime ) where one user may have 0 or 1000 rows in this simple table. Typical queries would be to find all the rows for one user or all the rows for one user on one site. How does this translate into a "map" in HBase where there is no "row key" AND the same (SiteID,Page) may appear many times. My first thought is that UserID is a row key, but I still don't understand "column families" and the other terminology well enough to understand how to setup the table to hold this data where the one UserID can have many (SiteID,Page,Date) "rows". Any direction is appreciated!

• Can I get Linux into 'Party/Kiosk-Mode' like status?

Kind of Kiosk style so that the user can observe what is going on from that web page but; cannot execute or write (and this blocking is preferably made also via GUI i.e. user cant minimize or close the browser, cant view any -start menus- )anything on machine. • What is this obscure error in Google Analytics tracking code on a _trackEvent() call?

  I am calling the Google Analytics _trackEvent() function on a web page, and get back an error from the obfuscated Google code. In Firebug, it comes back "q is undefined". In Safari developer console: "TypeError: Result of expression 'q' [undefined] is not an object." As a test, I have reduced the page to only this call, and still get the error back. Besides the necessary elements and the standard Google tracking code, my page is: <script> pageTracker._trackEvent('Survey', 'Checkout - Survey', 'Rating', 3); </script> Results is that error. What's going on here?

• Why are error pages ignored in RESTEasy web service running on Tomcat?

  I'm developing a REST-ful web service using RESTEasy deployed on Tomcat. I've configured an error page which takes the exception's message and generates an XML based on it when any exception occurs during the request. This works fine for any application generated exceptions. However, if client sends an invalid XML which cannot be unmarshalled correctly, an javax.xml.bind.UnmarshalException is thrown and Tomcat's default error page is used instead of mine. I have configured my error page to the error-code 500 in web.xml. Is using error pages the correct way to handle errors when using RESTEasy or is there an alternative way?

  I want to extract MasterPage value directive from a view page. I want the fastest way to do that, taking into account a very big aspx pages, and a very small ones. I think the best way is to do that with two stages: Extract the page directive section from the view (using Regex): <%@ Page Language="C#" MasterPageFile="~/Views/Shared/Site.Master" Inherits="System.Web.Mvc.ViewPage" %> Then, extract the value inside MasterPageFile attribute. The result needs to be: ~/Views/Shared/Site.Master. Can I have help from someone to implement this? I badly want to use only regex, but I don't Regex expert. Another thing, Do you think that Regex is the fastest way to do this?

• using focus function with jquery live

  I have a page in which i can successfully use the jquery focus function using live... $(".comment_text_class").live('focus', function() { //do something... }); but when something comes into the page(ajax loading) the focus function doesn't work as should be using the live function... as suggested i used focusin function.. $(".comment_text_class").live('focusin', function() { //do something... }); but still new elements do not have the behavior... also i want to hide something using the live function but it doesn't work at all.. even for the elements in the page itself... $(".comment_button").live('hide', function(){}); is the focus and hide function implemented at all by jquery 1.4.2 or is it a bug... because the live focus was not working with jquery 1.4 version...
