  • TwoWay Binding to ListBox SelectedItem on more than one list box in WPF

    - by Dan Bryant
    I have a scenario where I have a globally available Properties window (similar to the Properties window in Visual Studio), which is bound to a SelectedObject property of my model. I have a number of different ways to browse and select objects, so my first attempt was to bind them to SelectedObject directly. For example: <ListBox ItemsSource="{Binding ActiveProject.Controllers}" SelectedItem="{Binding SelectedObject, Mode=TwoWay}"/> <ListBox ItemsSource="{Binding ActiveProject.Machines}" SelectedItem="{Binding SelectedObject, Mode=TwoWay}"/> This works well when I have more than one item in each list, but it fails if a list has only one item. When I select the item, SelectedObject is not updated, since the list still thinks its original item was selected. I believe this happens because the two way binding simply ignores the update from source when SelectedObject is not an object in the list, leaving the list's SelectedItem unchanged. In this way, the bindings become out of sync. Does anybody know of a way to make sure the list boxes reset their SelectedItem when the SelectedObject is not in the list? Is there a better way to do this that doesn't suffer from this problem?

  • Sql Query - Selecting rows where user can be both friend and user

    - by Gublooo
    Hey Sorry the title is not very clear. This is a follow up to my earlier question where one of the members helped me with a query. I have a following friends Table Friend friend_id - primary key user_id user_id_friend status The way the table is populated is - when I send a friend request to John - my userID appears in user_id and Johns userID appears in user_id_friend. Now another scenario is say Mike sends me a friend request - in this case mike's userID will appear in user_id and my userID will appear in user_id_friend So to find all my friends - I need to run a query to find where my userID appears in both user_id column as well as user_id_friend column What I am trying to do now is - when I search for user say John - I want all users Johns listed on my site to show up along with the status of whether they are my friend or not and if they are not - then show a "Add Friend" button. Based on the previous post - I got this query which does part of the job - My example user_id is 1: SELECT u.user_id, f.status FROM user u LEFT OUTER JOIN friend f ON f.user_id = u.user_id and f.user_id_friend = 1 where u.name like '%' So this only shows users with whom I am friends where they have sent me request ie my userID appears in user_id_friend. Although I am friends with others (where my userID appears in user_id column) - this query will return that as null To get those I need another query like this SELECT u.user_id, f.status FROM user u LEFT OUTER JOIN friend f ON f.user_id_friend = u.user_id and f.user_id = 1 where u.name like '%' So how do I combine these queries to return 1 set of users and what my friendship status with them is. I hope my question is clear Thanks

  • LINQ self referencing query

    - by Chris
    I have the following SQL query: select p1.[id], p1.[useraccountid], p1.[subject], p1.[message], p1.[views], p1.[parentid], case when p2.[created] is null then p1.[created] else p2.[created] end as LastUpdate from forumposts p1 left join ( select parentid, max(created) as [created] from forumposts group by parentid ) p2 on p2.parentid = p1.id where p1.[parentid] is null order by LastUpdate desc Using the following class: public class ForumPost : PersistedObject { public int Views { get; set; } public string Message { get; set; } public string Subject { get; set; } public ForumPost Parent { get; set; } public UserAccount UserAccount { get; set; } public IList<ForumPost> Replies { get; set; } } How would I replicate such a query in LINQ? I've tried several variations, but I seem unable to get the correct join syntax. Is this simply a case of a query that is too complicated for LINQ? Can it be done using nested queries some how? The purpose of the query is to find the most recently updated posts i.e. replying to a post would bump it to the top of the list. Replies are defined by the ParentID column, which is self-referencing.

    - by Addy
    When I'm retrieving image from the sqlite database my Bitmap object bm return null value can any one help me..? I found problem in my database.. When I store the byte array in blob data type in database table that time the size of the byte array was 2280.. But when i retrieved that blob data type using select query I get the byte array within size 12. My code is: // Inserting data in database byte[] b; ByteArrayOutputStream baos = new ByteArrayOutputStream(); Bitmap bm = BitmapFactory.decodeResource(getResources(),R.drawable.icon); bm.compress(Bitmap.CompressFormat.PNG, 100, baos); //bm is the bitmap object b = baos.toByteArray(); //here b size is 2280 baos.close(); try { mDB = this.openOrCreateDatabase(MY_DATABASE_NAME, MODE_PRIVATE, null); mDB.execSQL("CREATE TABLE IF NOT EXISTS " + MY_DATABASE_TABLE + " (PICTURE BLOB);"); mDB.execSQL("INSERT INTO " + MY_DATABASE_TABLE + " (PICTURE)" + " VALUES ('"+b+"');"); } catch(Exception e) { Log.e("Error", "Error", e); } finally { if(mDB != null) mDB.close(); } // Retriving data from database byte[] b1; Bitmap bm; mDB = this.openOrCreateDatabase(MY_DATABASE_NAME, MODE_PRIVATE, null); try { mDB.execSQL("CREATE TABLE IF NOT EXISTS " + MY_DATABASE_TABLE + " (PICTURE BLOB);"); Cursor c = mDB.rawQuery("SELECT * FROM " + MY_DATABASE_TABLE + ";", null); c.moveToFirst(); if (c != null) { do { b1=c.getBlob(0)); //here b1 size is 12 bm=BitmapFactory.decodeByteArray(b1, 0, b1.length); }while(c.moveToNext()); }

  • Images missing after moving Django to new server

    - by miszczu
    I'm moving Django project to new server. I'm newbie in Django, and I don't know where should be upload folder. There are all images which should be displayed on website. In config file I haven't seen upload folder I could specify, so I'm guessing it always should be the same location for django projects or I just can't find it. Locations are saved in database. When I've put uploaded files into media folder, so url was like domain.co.uk/media/upload/media/images/year/month/day/image_name.ext and the same is on the old website, images on website ware still missing. All images are visible if I put url by hand, but django doesn't seems to see files. Also I check django log file: 2012-05-30 09:13:33,393 ERROR render: Thumbnail tag failed: [in /usr/lib/python2.6/site-packages/sorl_thumbnail-11.12-py2.6.egg/sorl/thumbnail/templatetags/thumbnail.py (line 49)] Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/lib/python2.6/site-packages/sorl_thumbnail-11.12-py2.6.egg/sorl/thumbnail/templatetags/thumbnail.py", line 45, in render return self._render(context) File "/usr/lib/python2.6/site-packages/sorl_thumbnail-11.12-py2.6.egg/sorl/thumbnail/templatetags/thumbnail.py", line 97, in _render file_, geometry, **options File "/usr/lib/python2.6/site-packages/sorl_thumbnail-11.12-py2.6.egg/sorl/thumbnail/base.py", line 50, in get_thumbnail cached = default.kvstore.get(thumbnail) File "/usr/lib/python2.6/site-packages/sorl_thumbnail-11.12-py2.6.egg/sorl/thumbnail/kvstores/base.py", line 25, in get return self._get(image_file.key) File "/usr/lib/python2.6/site-packages/sorl_thumbnail-11.12-py2.6.egg/sorl/thumbnail/kvstores/base.py", line 123, in _get value = self._get_raw(add_prefix(key, identity)) File "/usr/lib/python2.6/site-packages/sorl_thumbnail-11.12-py2.6.egg/sorl/thumbnail/kvstores/cached_db_kvstore.py", line 26, in _get_raw value = KVStoreModel.objects.get(key=key).value File "/usr/lib/python2.6/site-packages/django/db/models/manager.py", line 132, in get return self.get_query_set().get(*args, **kwargs) File "/usr/lib/python2.6/site-packages/django/db/models/query.py", line 344, in get num = len(clone) File "/usr/lib/python2.6/site-packages/django/db/models/query.py", line 82, in __len__ self._result_cache = list(self.iterator()) File "/usr/lib/python2.6/site-packages/django/db/models/query.py", line 273, in iterator for row in compiler.results_iter(): File "/usr/lib/python2.6/site-packages/django/db/models/sql/compiler.py", line 680, in results_iter for rows in self.execute_sql(MULTI): File "/usr/lib/python2.6/site-packages/django/db/models/sql/compiler.py", line 735, in execute_sql cursor.execute(sql, params) File "/usr/lib/python2.6/site-packages/django/db/backends/util.py", line 34, in execute return self.cursor.execute(sql, params) File "/usr/lib/python2.6/site-packages/django/db/backends/mysql/base.py", line 86, in execute return self.cursor.execute(query, args) File "/usr/lib64/python2.6/site-packages/MySQLdb/cursors.py", line 174, in execute self.errorhandler(self, exc, value) File "/usr/lib64/python2.6/site-packages/MySQLdb/connections.py", line 36, in defaulterrorhandler raise errorclass, errorvalue DatabaseError: (1146, "Table 'thumbnail_kvstore' doesn't exist") 2012-05-30 09:13:33,396 DEBUG execute: (0.000) SELECT `freetext_freetext`.`id`, `freetext_freetext`.`key`, `freetext_freetext`.`content`, `freetext_freetext`.`active` FROM `freetext_freetext` WHERE (`freetext_freetext`.`active` = True AND `freetext_freetext`.`key` = office-closed-message ); args=(True, u'office-closed-message') [in /usr/lib/python2.6/site-packages/django/db/backends/util.py (line 44)] 2012-05-30 09:13:33,399 DEBUG execute: (0.000) SELECT `menus_menu`.`id`, `menus_menu`.`name`, `menus_menu`.`slug`, `menus_menu`.`base_url`, `menus_menu`.`description`, `menus_menu`.`enabled` FROM `menus_menu` WHERE (`menus_menu`.`enabled` = True AND `menus_menu`.`slug` = about ); args=(True, u'about') [in /usr/lib/python2.6/site-packages/django/db/backends/util.py (line 44)] 2012-05-30 09:13:33,401 DEBUG execute: (0.000) SELECT `menus_menuitem`.`id`, `menus_menuitem`.`menu_id`, `menus_menuitem`.`title`, `menus_menuitem`.`url`, `menus_menuitem`.`order` FROM `menus_menuitem` INNER JOIN `menus_menu` ON (`menus_menuitem`.`menu_id` = `menus_menu`.`id`) WHERE `menus_menu`.`slug` = about ORDER BY `menus_menuitem`.`order` ASC; args=(u'about',) [in /usr/lib/python2.6/site-packages/django/db/backends/util.py (line 44)] 2012-05-30 09:13:33,404 DEBUG execute: (0.000) SELECT `freetext_freetext`.`id`, `freetext_freetext`.`key`, `freetext_freetext`.`content`, `freetext_freetext`.`active` FROM `freetext_freetext` WHERE (`freetext_freetext`.`active` = True AND `freetext_freetext`.`key` = contactdetails-footer ); args=(True, u'contactdetails-footer') [in /usr/lib/python2.6/site-packages/django/db/backends/util.py (line 44)] I checked database and there is no table calls thumbnail_kvstore, but I have database backup, and in backup files this table doesn't exist. • Is MEF an all-or-nothing affair?

    - by Dave
    I've had a few questions about MEF recently, but here's the big one -- is it really all-or-nothing, as it appears to be? My basic application structure is simply an app, several shared libraries that are intended to be singletons, and several different plugins (which may implement different interfaces). The app loads the plugins, and both the app and all plugins need to access the shared libraries. My first go at MEF was fairly successful, although I made some stupid mistakes along the way because I was trying so many different things, I just got confused at times. But in the end, last night I got my smallish test app running with MEF, some shared libraries, and one plugin. Now I'm moving onto the target app, which I already described. And it's the multiple plugins part that has be a bit worried. My existing application already supports multiple plugins with different interfaces by using Reflection. I need to be able to uniquely identify each plugin so that the user can select one and get the expected behavior exposed by that plugin. The problem is that I don't know how to do this yet... but that's the topic of a different question. Ideally, I'd be able to take my existing plugin loader and use it as-is, while relying on MEF to do the shared library resolution. The problem is, I can't seem to get MEF to load them (i.e. I get a CompositionException when calling ComposeParts()) unless I also use MEF to load the plugin. And if I do this, well... then I need to know how to keep track of them as they get loaded so the user can select one from a list of plugins. What have your experiences been with trying to mix and match these approaches?

  • Access <body> tag properties from form found in mediaboxAdvanced lightbox.

    - by Christopher Richa
    I am building my portfolio website simply using HTML, Flash, and the Mootools Javascript framework. I have decided to implement a theme changing feature using Javascript and cookies. When the user clicks on the "Change Theme" link, a mediaboxAdvanced lightbox appears, containing a real-time form which allows you to change the theme on the portfolio. Here's the code for the form: <div id="mb_inline" style="display: none; margin:15px;"> <h3>Change Your Theme</h3> <form> <fieldset> <select id="background_color" name="background_color"> <option value="#dcf589">Original</option> <option value="#000FFF">Blue</option> <option value="#00FF00">Green</option> </select> </fieldset> </form> </div> I know, there is no submit button, but as soon as something is changed in that form, the following Mootools code happens: var themeChanger = new Class( { pageBody : null, themeOptions : null, initialize: function() { this.pageBody = $(document.body); this.themeOptions = $('background_color'); this.themeOptions.addEvent('change', this.change_theme.bindWithEvent(this)); }, change_theme: function(event) { alert("Hello"); } }); window.addEvent('domready', function() { var themeChanger_class = new themeChanger(); }); Now this is only a test function, which should be triggered when the dropdown menu changes. However, it seems that none of it works when the form is in the lightbox! Now if I decide to run the form outside of the lightbox, then it works great! Am I missing something? If you need more examples, I will fill in on demand. Thank you all in advance. -Christopher

  • SQL statement with datetimepicker

    - by David Archer
    This should hopefully be a simple one. When using a date time picker in a windows form, I want an SQL statement to be carried out, like so: string sql = "SELECT * FROM Jobs WHERE JobDate = '" + dtpJobDate.Text + "'"; Unfortunately, this doesn't actually provide any results because the JobDate field is stored as a DateTime value. I'd like to be able to search for all records that are on this date, no matter what the time stored may be, any help? New query: SqlDataAdapter da2 = new SqlDataAdapter(); SqlCommand cmd = new SqlCommand(); cmd.CommandText = "SELECT * FROM Jobs WHERE JobDate >= @p_StartDate AND JobDate < @p_EndDate"; cmd.Parameters.Add ("@p_StartDate", SqlDbType.DateTime).Value = dtpJobDate.Value.Date; cmd.Parameters.Add ("@p_EndDate", SqlDbType.DateTime).Value = dtpJobDate.Value.Date.AddDays(1); cmd.Connection = conn; da2.SelectCommand = cmd; da2.Fill(dt); dgvJobDiary.DataSource = dt; Huge thanks for all the help!

  • SQL Syntax to count unique users completing a task

    - by Belliez
    I have the following code which shows me what users has completed ticket and this lists each user and the date they close a ticket. i.e. Paul Matt Matt Bob Matt Paul Matt Matt At the moment I manually count each user myself to see their totals for the day. EDIT: Changed output as columns instead of rows: What I have been trying to do is get SQL Server to do this for me i.e. the final result to look like: Paul | 2 Matt | 5 Bob | 1 My code I am currently using is and I would be greatful if someone can help me change this so I can get it outputting something similar to above? DECLARE @StartDate DateTime; DECLARE @EndDate DateTime; -- Date format: YYYY-MM-DD SET @StartDate = '2013-11-06 00:00:00' SET @EndDate = GETDATE() -- Today SELECT (select Username from Membership where UserId = Ticket.CompletedBy) as TicketStatusChangedBy FROM Ticket INNER JOIN TicketStatus ON Ticket.TicketStatusID = TicketStatus.TicketStatusID INNER JOIN Membership ON Ticket.CheckedInBy = Membership.UserId WHERE TicketStatus.TicketStatusName = 'Completed' and Ticket.ClosedDate >= @StartDate --(GETDATE() - 1) and Ticket.ClosedDate <= @EndDate --(GETDATE()-0) ORDER BY Ticket.CompletedBy ASC, Ticket.ClosedDate ASC Thank you for your help and time.

  • T-SQL While Loop and concatenation

    - by JustinT
    I have a SQL query that is supposed to pull out a record and concat each to a string, then output that string. The important part of the query is below. DECLARE @counter int; SET @counter = 1; DECLARE @tempID varchar(50); SET @tempID = ''; DECLARE @tempCat varchar(255); SET @tempCat = ''; DECLARE @tempCatString varchar(5000); SET @tempCatString = ''; WHILE @counter <= @tempCount BEGIN SET @tempID = ( SELECT [Val] FROM #vals WHERE [ID] = @counter); SET @tempCat = (SELECT [Description] FROM [Categories] WHERE [ID] = @tempID); print @tempCat; SET @tempCatString = @tempCatString + '<br/>' + @tempCat; SET @counter = @counter + 1; END When the script runs, @tempCatString outputs as null while @tempCat always outputs correctly. Is there some reason that concatenation won't work inside a While loop? That seems wrong, since incrementing @counter works perfectly. So is there something else I'm missing?

  • NHibernate - joining on a subquery using ICriteria

    - by owensymes.mp
    I have a SQL query that I need to represent using NHibernate's ICriteria API. SELECT u.Id as Id, u.Login as Login, u.FirstName as FirstName, u.LastName as LastName, gm.UserGroupId_FK as UserGroupId, inner.Data1, inner.Data2, inner.Data3 FROM dbo.User u inner join dbo.GroupMember gm on u.Id = gm.UserAnchorId_FK left join ( SELECT di.UserAnchorId_FK, sum(di.Data1) as Data1, sum(di.Data2) as Data2, sum(di.Data3) as Data3 FROM dbo.DailyInfo di WHERE di.Date between '2009-04-01' and '2009-06-01' GROUP BY di.UserAnchorId_FK ) inner ON inner.UserAnchorId_FK = u.Id WHERE gm.UserGroupId_FK = 195 Attempts so far have included mapping 'User' and 'DailyInfo' classes (my entities) and making a DailyInfo object a property of the User object. However, how to map the foreign key relationship between them is still a mystery, ie <one-to-one></one-to-one> <one-to-many></one-to-many> <generator class="foreign"><param name="property">Id</param></generator> (!) Solutions on the web are generally to do with subqueries within a WHERE clause, however I need to left join on this subquery instead to ensure NULL values are returned for rows that do not join. I have the feeling that I should be using a Criteria for the outer query, then forming a 'join' with a DetachedCriteria to represent the subquery?

  • Help Converting T-SQL Query to LINQ Query

    - by campbelt
    I am new to LINQ, and so am struggle over some queries that I'm sure are pretty simple. In any case, I have been hiting my head against this for a while, but I'm stumped. Can anyone here help me convert this T-SQL query into a LINQ query? Once I see how it is done, I'm sure I'll have some question about the syntax: SELECT BlogTitle FROM Blogs b JOIN BlogComments bc ON b.BlogID = bc.BlogID WHERE b.Deleted = 0 AND b.Draft = 0 AND b.[Default] = 0 AND bc.Deleted = 0 GROUP BY BlogTitle ORDER BY MAX([bc].[Timestamp]) DESC Just to show that I have tried to solve this on my own, here is what I've come up with so far, though it doesn't compile, let alone work ... var iqueryable = from blog in db.Blogs join blogComment in db.BlogComments on blog.BlogID equals blogComment.BlogID where blog.Deleted == false && blog.Draft == false && blog.Default == false && blogComment.Deleted == false group blogComment by blog.BlogID into blogGroup orderby blogGroup.Max(blogComment => blogComment.Timestamp) select blogGroup;

  • My SqlComand on SSIS - DataFlow OLE DB Command seems not works

    - by Angel Escobedo
    Hello Im using OLE DB Source for get rows from a dBase IV file and it works, then I split the data and perform a group by with aggregate component. So I obtain a row with two columns with "null" value : CompanyID | CompanyName | SubTotal | Tax | TotalRevenue Null Null 145487 27642.53 173129.53 this success because all rows have been grouped with out taking care about the firsts columns and just Summing the valuable columns, so I need to change that null for default values as CompanyID = "100000000" and CompanyName = "Others". I try use SqlCommand on a OLE DB Command Component : SELECT "10000000" AS RUCCLI , "Otros - Varios" AS RAZCLI FROM RGVCAFAC <property id="1505" name="SqlCommand" dataType="System.String" state="default" isArray="false" description="The SQL command to be executed." typeConverter="" UITypeEditor="Microsoft.DataTransformationServices.Controls.ModalMultilineStringEditor, Microsoft.DataTransformationServices.Controls, Version=10.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=89845dcd8080cc91" containsID="false" expressionType="Notify">SELECT "10000000" AS RUCCLI , "Otros - Varios" AS RAZCLI FROM RGVCAFAC</property> but nothings happens, why? and finally the task finish when the data is inserted on a SQL Server Table. Im using the same connection manager on extracting data and transform. (View Code) <DTS:Property DTS:Name="ConnectionString">Data Source=C:\CONTA\Resocen\Agosto\;Provider=Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0;Persist Security Info=False;Extended Properties=dBASE IV;</DTS:Property></DTS:ConnectionManager></DTS:ObjectData></DTS:ConnectionManager> all work is on memory, Im not using cache manager connections

  • weird result with c# winForms array of Lists

    - by jello
    so I'm trying to store values in an array of Lists in C# winForms. In the for loop in which I make the sql statment, everything works fine: the message box outputs a different medication name each time. for (int i = 0; i < numberOfMeds; i++) { queryStr = "select * from biological where medication_name = '" + med_names[i] + "' and patient_id = " + patientID.patient_id; using (var conn = new SqlConnection(connStr)) using (var cmd = new SqlCommand(queryStr, conn)) { conn.Open(); using (SqlDataReader rdr = cmd.ExecuteReader()) { while (rdr.Read()) { medObject.medication_date = (DateTime)rdr["patient_history_date_bio"]; medObject.medication_name = rdr["medication_name"].ToString(); medObject.medication_dose = Convert.ToInt32(rdr["medication_dose"]); medsList[i].Add(medObject); } } conn.Close(); MedicationTimelineClass medObjectx = medsList[i][0] as MedicationTimelineClass; MessageBox.Show(medObjectx.medication_name); } } but then, when I take the message box code out of the loop, meaning that the array of Lists is supposed to be populated, I always get the same value: the last value entered. the same medication name, no matter what number I put between those brackets. It's like if the whole array of Lists is populated with the same data. for (int i = 0; i < numberOfMeds; i++) { queryStr = "select * from biological where medication_name = '" + med_names[i] + "' and patient_id = " + patientID.patient_id; using (var conn = new SqlConnection(connStr)) using (var cmd = new SqlCommand(queryStr, conn)) { conn.Open(); using (SqlDataReader rdr = cmd.ExecuteReader()) { while (rdr.Read()) { medObject.medication_date = (DateTime)rdr["patient_history_date_bio"]; medObject.medication_name = rdr["medication_name"].ToString(); medObject.medication_dose = Convert.ToInt32(rdr["medication_dose"]); medsList[i].Add(medObject); } } conn.Close(); } } MedicationTimelineClass medObjectx = medsList[0][0] as MedicationTimelineClass; MessageBox.Show(medObjectx.medication_name); what's going on here?

  • Using Hibernate's ScrollableResults to slowly read 90 million records

    - by at
    I simply need to read each row in a table in my MySQL database using Hibernate and write a file based on it. But there are 90 million rows and they are pretty big. So it seemed like the following would be appropriate: ScrollableResults results = session.createQuery("SELECT person FROM Person person") .setReadOnly(true).setCacheable(false).scroll(ScrollMode.FORWARD_ONLY); while (results.next()) storeInFile(results.get()[0]); The problem is the above will try and load all 90 million rows into RAM before moving on to the while loop... and that will kill my memory with OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space exceptions :(. So I guess ScrollableResults isn't what I was looking for? What is the proper way to handle this? I don't mind if this while loop takes days (well I'd love it to not). I guess the only other way to handle this is to use setFirstResult and setMaxResults to iterate through the results and just use regular Hibernate results instead of ScrollableResults. That feels like it will be inefficient though and will start taking a ridiculously long time when I'm calling setFirstResult on the 89 millionth row... UPDATE: setFirstResult/setMaxResults doesn't work, it turns out to take an unusably long time to get to the offsets like I feared. There must be a solution here! Isn't this a pretty standard procedure?? I'm willing to forgo Hibernate and use JDBC or whatever it takes. UPDATE 2: the solution I've come up with which works ok, not great, is basically of the form: select * from person where id > <offset> and <other_conditions> limit 1 Since I have other conditions, even all in an index, it's still not as fast as I'd like it to be... so still open for other suggestions..

  • UIImagePickerController image editing not working

    - by Greg Reichow
    I am having a problem with implementing UIImagePickerController. When the controller loads, it displays modally, and allows the user to select the image. Good so far. Yet, then when it moves to the editing phase, it often displays somewhat corrupted view (the image cropping box is halfway off the top of the screen) and their is no image. It does not crash, but all UI interaction is blocked. The strange part is that this only happens when I compile with Release settings. Under debug compile settings, the image editing works fine! I have tried checking for memory warnings during this time, but none are showing up. Here is the code calling the image picker controller for reference. When I use the camera (the first method), it always works fine. It is just when selecting images from the Library (called from the second method below) does it fail as described above. And again, only on release build, and with various different types of images. - (IBAction) showCameraController:(id)sender { self.imagePicker =[[UIImagePickerController alloc] init]; self.imagePicker.sourceType=UIImagePickerControllerSourceTypeCamera; self.imagePicker.delegate=self; self.imagePicker.allowsEditing=YES; [self presentModalViewController:self.imagePicker animated:YES]; } - (IBAction) showPictureAlbumController:(id)sender { self.imagePicker =[[UIImagePickerController alloc] init]; self.imagePicker.sourceType=UIImagePickerControllerSourceTypePhotoLibrary; self.imagePicker.delegate=self; self.imagePicker.allowsEditing=YES; [self presentModalViewController:self.imagePicker animated:YES]; } The delegate methods are properly implemented, yet, during the problem I am describing, the controller is not yet calling those methods. It is failing when displaying the editing screen before the user is able to select cancel or save. It is just locking up with no crash. Please help!

  • Renaming column in Android sqlite database results in error

    - by Apophenia Overload
    I've been modifying the Notepad tutorial for Android very subtly- all I did was rename the column from title to name: Before: public static final String KEY_TITLE = "title"; ... private static final String DATABASE_CREATE = "create table notes (_id integer primary key autoincrement, " + "title text not null, body text not null);"; After: public static final String KEY_TITLE = "name"; ... private static final String DATABASE_CREATE = "create table notes (_id integer primary key autoincrement, " + "name text not null, body text not null);"; However, it always results in this: 06-10 03:29:38.421: ERROR/AndroidRuntime(344): java.lang.RuntimeException: Unable to start activity ComponentInfo{com.android.demo.notepad1/com.android.demo.notepad1.Notepadv1}: android.database.sqlite.SQLiteException: no such column: name: , while compiling: SELECT _id, name, body FROM notes ... 06-10 03:29:38.421: ERROR/AndroidRuntime(344): Caused by: android.database.sqlite.SQLiteException: no such column: name: , while compiling: SELECT _id, name, body FROM notes Am I failing to rename something? • Lazy loading of Blob properties of one class

    - by Khosro
    Hi, My class contains "summary" and "title" properties those are Blob and other properties. Code:(I write some part of class) public class News extends BaseEntity{ @Lob @Basic(fetch = FetchType.LAZY) public String getSummary() { return summary; } @Lob @Basic(fetch = FetchType.LAZY) public String getTitle() { return title; } @Temporal(TemporalType.TIMESTAMP) public Date getPublishDate() { return publishDate; } } I instrument this class to lazy load of Blob properties using this class "org.hibernate.tool.instrument.javassist.InstrumentTask". When i write this code to retrieve only summary of new , newsDAO.findByid(1L).getSummary(); Hibernate generates these queries: Hibernate: select news0_.id as id1_, news0_.entityVersion as entityVe2_1_, news0_.publishDate as publish15_1_, news0_.url as url1_ from News news0_ Hibernate: select news_.summary as summary1_, news_.title as title1_ from News news_ where news_.id=? I have two qurestions: 1.I only want to retrieve "summary" property not "title" property,but Hibernate queries show that it also retrieve "title" property,Why this happens(i want to lazy load of "property")? It seems when i load one of Blob property ,Hibernate loads all of them.Why?(This is my main question) 2.Why Hibernate generates two queries for retrieving only "summary" property of news? Khosro.

  • I'm trying to populate a MySQL table with some data, but, mysqli won't let me insert every 10th stat

    I want to initialise a 'ticket' table with some ticket IDs. To do this, I want to insert 120 ticket IDs into the table. • Hibernate limitations on using variables in queries

    - by sammichy
    I had asked the following question I have the following table structure for a table Player Table Player { Long playerID; Long points; Long rank; } Assuming that the playerID and the points have valid values, can I update the rank for all the players based on the number of points in a single query? If two people have the same number of points, they should tie for the rank. And received the answer from Daniel Vassalo (thank you). UPDATE player JOIN (SELECT p.playerID, IF(@lastPoint <> p.points, @curRank := @curRank + 1, @curRank) AS rank, IF(@lastPoint = p.points, @curRank := @curRank + 1, @curRank), @lastPoint := p.points FROM player p JOIN (SELECT @curRank := 0, @lastPoint := 0) r ORDER BY p.points DESC ) ranks ON (ranks.playerID = player.playerID) SET player.rank = ranks.rank; When I try to execute this as a native query in Hibernate, the following exception is thrown. java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: org.hibernate.QueryException: Space is not allowed after parameter prefix ':' Apparently this has been an open issue for the last couple of years, I want to know if the ranking query can be made to work either Without using any variables in the SQL query OR Using any workaround for Hibernate.

My guess is that the solution is pretty simple and I am just over-thinking it...anyone have any suggestions?
