    Hello everyone, I have some legacy classic ASP code (not ASP.Net, but ASP), and I want to call a WCF service which I developed by using VSTS 2008 + C# + .Net 3.5 and using basic Http Binding. Any reference samples? I heard the only way is -- we have to manually generate the tricky SOAP message, and parse SOAP response, is that true? :-) thanks in advance, George

    Hello everyone, I am using .Net 2.0 + SQL Server 2005 Enterprise + VSTS 2008 + C# + ADO.Net to develop ASP.Net Web application. My question is, if I am using Asynchronous Processing=true with SQL Server authentication mode (not Windows authentication mode, i.e. using sa account and password in connection string in web.config), I am wondering whether Asynchronous Processing=true will impact performance of my web application (or depends on my ADO.Net code implementation pattern/scenario)?   • UIWebView links inactive

    I have a webview that displays properly, however the links are entirely inactive. If I try to select a link the selection magnifying glass appears. I've tried overriding - (BOOL)webView:(UIWebView *)webView shouldStartLoadWithRequest:(NSURLRequest *)request navigationType:(UIWebViewNavigationType)navigationType but the method will not execute. The class extends UIViewController <UIWebViewDelegate>, and my view is located in a tabbar, but I'm fairly certain everything's connected properly. Any suggestions?

    Hello everyone, I am using scp command to copy file from a MacBook Pro OS X 10.5 to another Linux box (Red Hat Linux Enterprise 5). I am using the following command on Mac, sudo scp ~/.ssh/mykey.rsa [email protected], there is no output from Mac command line. I am not sure whether the scp is success or not.     Did any one have luck recently register Visual studio 2008 express C# product? Look like, I would have to reformat my computer and install every thing all over again. I un-installed it and installed VS2008 express again but it will not start because it demands registration. When I click the register button, the website launches and hour glass spins forever.     I've been looking for something very simple: How to make a side navigation expand with animation on page load, but all the tutorial websites I usually go to don't seem to have it.     I have an object that needs to be serialized to an EDI format. For this example we'll say it's a car. A car might not be the best example b/c options change over time, but for the real object the Enums will never change. There is another method that can get Enum Value from StringValue for Deserialization: car.RoofStyle = Enums.GetCode<RoofStyle>(EDIString.Substring(4, 3)) Defined as: public static class Enums { public static T GetCode<T>(string value) { foreach (object o in System.Enum.GetValues(typeof(T))) { if (((Enum)o).GetStringValue() == value.ToUpper()) return (T)o; } throw new ArgumentException("No code exists for type " + typeof(T).ToString() + " corresponding to value of " + value); } } And Finally, for the UI, the GetDisplayText() is used to show the user friendly text. What do you think? Overkill? Is there a better way? or Goldie Locks (just right)? Just want to get feedback before I intergrate it into my personal framework permanently. Thanks.
