    I have some DVD video discs that I am intending to sell. I would like to get information such as region, language, subtitles. Some of the discs are in another language which I cannot read, and some are from small publishers and do not have such information on the disc or the boxes. What methods can I use to access this information? Please list command line options, as well as common GUI based tools (eg VLC player).

    I have some files in my project that started from a sample in the all-in-one code sample browser: http://visualstudiogallery.msdn.microsoft.com/4934b087-e6cc-44dd-b992-a71f00a2a6df Some files contain boilerplate code that I modify heavily. They contain MS comments at the top that mention the license, copyright microsoft etc. Am I required to leave the entire comment block at the top of the source files that I modify or is it okay to just include the MS-PL license in a separate file for the whole project?

  • Problem connecting to certain wifi networks

    I'm using lenovo u300s (it has Intel Centrino Wireless-N 1030 card), and I can connect to wireless network at home with no problem, but I can not connect to any networks at my university. I'm not sure if it's the case but most of university networks are open and you need to sign up your username as you enter browser. There is also an eudoroam network, but I can not connect to it either. Any suggestions? Yes I have the latest ubuntu version.

What is the most convenient way currently available to target Chrome, Win 8 Desktop (with a Win packaged app) and the mobile devices reusing most of the code?     I have a very large SVN repository (working copy of several gb) that has just reached its 20,000th checkin. As a bit of an interesting statistic for our team (and to partly celebrate our 20,000th checkin) I'd like to make a graph showing which folders in the repository have had the most checkins. Is there any way to do this? We mostly use integrated SVN clients in our IDE and Tortoise SVN, but I'm willing to get other tools for this one-off thing.

But having to do an apt-get update before installing is quite time consuming because of all of the other mirrors touched (and I do an update before hand to make sure the system has previously used tools in the script). Is there either a way to do an update that doesn't update everything or a way to do an install and specify a repo/list that hasn't been updated?

I really like jsdo.it, as it provides a nice editor and the ability to fork, but I really can't stand the usability as it really gets to be a pain to use after a while. I also like jsfiddle.net, but it too has some usability issues and the URL for your fiddle changes every time you save. Are there any other good alternatives for in-browser HTML testing and development?
