  • How do I use connect to DB2 with DBI and mod_perl?

    I'm having issues with getting DBI's IBM DB2 driver to work with mod_perl. I get this error in apache's error log: DBD::DB2::dr connect warning: [unixODBC][Driver Manager]Data source name not found, and no default driver specified at /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.8/Apache/DBI.pm line 190. DBI connect('SAMPLE','username',...) failed: [unixODBC][Driver Manager]Data source name not found, and no default driver specified at /data/www/perl/test.pl line 15 First of all, why is it using ODBC? The native DB2 driver is installed (hence it works as CGI). Running Apache 2.2.3, mod_perl 2.0.4 under RHEL5. This guy had the same problem as me: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/msg22909.html But I have no idea how he fixed it. What does mod_php4 have to do with mod_perl? Any help would be greatly appreciated, I'm having no luck with google. Update: As james2vegas pointed out, the problem has something to do with PHP: I disable PHP all together I get the a different error: Total Environment allocation failure! Did you set up your DB2 client environment? I believe this error is to do with environment variables not being set up correctly, namely DB2INSTANCE. However, I'm not able to turn off PHP to resolve this problem (I need it for some legacy applications). So I now have 2 questions: How can I fix the original issue without disabling PHP all together? How can I fix the environment issue? I've set DB2INSTANCE, DB2_PATH and SQLLIB variables correctly using SetEnv and PerlSetEnv in httpd.conf, but with no luck. Note: I've edited the code to determine if the problem was to do with Global Variable Persistence.

  • wget works with company proxy but apt-get and dpkg doesn't

    Hi, I am trying to install some software in a fresh install of Linux dnoseda 2.6.32-21-generic #32-Ubuntu SMP Fri Apr 16 08:10:02 UTC 2010 i686 GNU/Linux. I already set the variables http_proxy, https_proxy and ftp_proxy and wget works perfectly. But when I try with apt-get it blocks trying to conect directly to the site, without the proxy. Or the other behavior that I got is a lots of 407 authentication errors. But the wget of those packages works perfectly. It's something missing? Can you help me? thanks in advance.

  • Why is Windows Update trying to install an update I don't need?

    I have a Windows 7 system that currently has a single update pending: Windows Internet Explorer 9 for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems If I try to install the update, Windows Update will: Create a restore point Fail with the error: Code 9C48 Windows Update encountered an error. The event log for the event reads: Installation Failure: Windows failed to install the following update with error 0x80070643: Windows Internet Explorer 9 for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems. If you search the web for that error, there are many other people with the exact same issue. Sadly, I am unable to apply the proposed solutions to my case, because I just installed this system. There is nothing on it, except Windows 7. I installed the system and ran through the updates. I also did the exact same process with this machine several times over the past few days due to a long-term test we just started. I didn't have any problems with any Windows Update on the previous installation runs and I know I didn't do anything different this time because I followed the installation procedures instructions which are to be used during the test. How did this happen and how do I solve it? Further Investigation So, as I always like to do, I ran the update again while running Process Monitor and dug up further details. WindowsUpdate.log First of all, there is a Windows Update log file located at C:\Windows\WindowsUpdate.log which I didn't know about.     Im attempting to make use of dependency injection in Jboss AS 7 and im having huge difficulties. I have setup a EAR which contains both a EJB jar and a war.     I had a server crash due to a broken iSCSI link (the filesystem went into read-only mode). We want to connect using a public key through SSH which doesn't work. It always falls back to using password login. We have appended our public key to ~/.ssh/authorized_keys on the server and we have our private and public key in ~/.ssh/id_dsa respective ~/.ssh/id_dsa.pub on the client.     I am new to databases and I have been asked to look at a few tables and see how many records they have and some other information. I cannot access phpMyAdmin through cPanel, which is how I've always done it on my own server. I decided to download MySQL Workbench. I enter in all the information is asks: Hostname: mysite.startlogicmysql.com Port: 3306 Username: user. I press connect and get this Unknown MySQL server host 'mysite.startlogicmysql.com' (11004) Am I using the wrong hostname? I've seen a server name, a hostname in the server variables list which is something like custsql.eigbox.net and the server itself is custsql.eigbox.net In both cases the custsql is a little different than what I posted.     I have one website with modx installed to www.website.com/modx/ --- Keep in mind there are other Websites In Progress on this storage server. My issue is that I'm moving all this: templates, template variables, chunks, snippets, etc to another server that already has modx installed in it. My first instinct is to go to phpMyAdmin and export the sql file and import them to the new website's server. However, an error occurred when I attempted to do this. It had found many duplicates in fields that were associated a PK (due to it being the same website just a redesign). I don't have to go and dump the table of the oldsite and then upload the new sql file do i? Please advise.

  • Reverse Engineer a .pyo python file

    I have 2 .pyo python files that I can convert to .py source files, but they don't compile perfectly as hinted by decompyle's verify. Therefore looking at the source code, I can tell that config.pyo simply had variables in in an array: ADMIN_USERIDS = [116901, 141, 349244, 39, 1159488] I would like to take the original .pyo and disassembly or whatever I need to do inorder to change one of these IDs. Or.... in model.pyo the source indicates a if (productsDeveloperId != self.getUserId()): All I would want to do is hex edit the != to be a == .....Simple with a windows exe program but I can't find a good python disassembler anywhere. Any suggestions are welcomed...I am new to reading bytecode and new to python as well.

    I am trying to compile file-roller from git, but running autogen.sh gives me this error configure: error: Package requirements (gtk+-3.0 >= 2.91.1) were not met: No package 'gtk+-3.0' found Consider adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if you installed software in a non-standard prefix. Alternatively, you may set the environment variables GTK_CFLAGS and GTK_LIBS to avoid the need to call pkg-config. See the pkg-config man page for more details. I am running Ubuntu Maverick and don't wish to completely replace my current version of gtk, glib, etc. I have tried to compile GTK using the --prefix argument of autogen.sh, but this gives me a similar error about my version of glib. How can I successfully compile file-roller using these new libraries without borking my install?

    Hello, I need to install a program for my studies and, this program, need java to run. When I try to perform the installation say that cannot find the JDK; since the JDK is already installed by default in mac, the problem is export the java home. I´ve try a lot and I cant do it! I know that I have to add a line in a .bashrc file (or .profile, or .bash_profile) I´ve created all those files, at different times but nothing... I´m a new mac user, but I use Linux too and I dont know what happened, I just need to export java home to perform my work... and is really necessary for me to add environment variables too.     From my Django application I want to serve up secure photos. The photos are not for public consumption, I only want logged in users to have the ability to view them. I don't want to rely on obfuscated file id's (giving a photo a UUID of a long number) and count on that being hidden in my media folder. How would I store a photo securely on disk in my database and only stream it out to an authenticated session?

  • Unable to publish on user's facebook wall through blackberry application

    I want to publish a post to user's wall..for this first i am making user to log in and getting the session id also...but in order to publish i need the user to grant me publish_stream permission..so immmediately after i am obtaining auth_token by capturing url of the login success screen, i am making call to http://www.facebook.com/connect/prompt%5Fpermissions.php? with "api_key","ext_perm","display" as parameteres..but when the above url is redirected and displayed on BrowserField i am seeing "Incompatible web browser " instead of the permission granting dialog or popup..i will be greatful if anyone can help...thanx a lot
