• Code coverage (c++ code execution path)

  Let's say I have this code: int function(bool b) { // execution path 1 int ret = 0; if(b) { // execution path 2 ret = 55; } else { // execution path 3 ret = 120; } return ret; } I need some sort of a mechanism to make sure that the code has gone in any possible path, i.e execution paths 1, 2 & 3 in the code above. I thought about having a global function, vector and a macro. This macro would simply call that function, passing as parameters the source file name and the line of code, and that function would mark that as "checked", by inserting to the vector the info that the macro passed. The problem is that I will not see anything about paths that did not "check". Any idea how do I do this? How to "register" a line of code at compile-time, so in run-time I can see that it didn't "check" yet? I hope I'm clear.

  I am trying to compare two tables to find rows in each table that is not in the other. Table 1 has a groupby column to create 2 sets of data within table one. groupby number ----------- ----------- 1 1 1 2 2 1 2 2 2 4 Table 2 has only one column. number ----------- 1 3 4 So Table 1 has the values 1,2,4 in group 2 and Table 2 has the values 1,3,4. One of the things the app is lacking is X axis labels (i.e. the frequency labels). My question is how can I determine what frequency each iteration (or y value) represents inside the for loop. For example, if I want to know what the magnitude is for 6kHz, I'm thinking of adding a line similar to the following: if (yValueRepresentskHz(y, 6)) NSLog(@"The magnitude for 6kHz is %f", (interpVal * 120)); Please note that although they chose to use the variable name y, from what I understand, it actually represents the x-axis in the visual graph of the spectrum analyzer, and the value of the drawBuffers[0][y] represents the y-axis.

A width for the word wrapping rich text control/editor How do I know the height of the content after it have performed all the word wrapping? Is there something like int MeasureRichTextHeightAfterWordWrap(string aRichTextContent, int aWidth)? Otherwise how does those rich text control know how much to autosize? Do I have to actually place the content on a dummy rich text control and get its height afterwards? Question B. Similar to question A but in plain text onto a plain text memo/control/editor. And manually draw string with manually calculated indentations, breaks, word wrappings. Is it easier or harder?

  I'm implementing a prototype of a RESTful API using ASP.NET MVC and apart from the odd bug here and there I've achieve all the requirements I set out at the start, apart from callers being able to use the X-HTTP-Method-Override custom header to override the HTTP method. What I'd like is that the following request... GET /someresource/123 HTTP/1.1 X-HTTP-Method-Override: DELETE ...would be dispatched to my controller method that implements the DELETE functionality rather than the GET functionality for that action (assuming that there are multiple methods implementing the action, and that they are marked with different [AcceptVerbs] attributes). (eg. #FFAABB) But it can have multiple nulls.   I'm creating a table with: CREATE TABLE movies ( id INT AUTO_INCREMENT PRIMARY KEY, name CHAR(255) NOT NULL, year INT NOT NULL, inyear CHAR(10), CONSTRAINT UNIQUE CLUSTERED (name, year, inyear) ); (this is jdbc SQL) Which creates a MySQL table with a clustered index, "index kind" is "unique", and spans the three clustered columns: full size However, once I dump my data (without exceptions thrown), I see that the uniqueness constraint has failed: SELECT * FROM movies WHERE name = 'Flawless' AND year = 2007 AND inyear IS NULL; gives: id, name, year, inyear 162169, 'Flawless', 2007, NULL 162170, 'Flawless', 2007, NULL Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong here?

Now it stops working on 1.9.0-rc6. This is error message I got - "user lacks privilege or object not found: T1 / Error Code: -5501 / State: 42501" Does anyone know what have changed in 1.9.0-XX which made it not working? Thanks

The idea is that I would run all [NSString stringWithFormat:] calls through this method instead.
