    I'm looking for a netbook to do some dotnet development. Is there a recommended brand/configuration. I'm looking for reasonably good performance. Here are some of my requirements: Win 7 ultimate MS Office VS 2008 and VS 2010 when it's out CodeRush good size keyboard without having to do a Fn+Key for Insert, Home, End and Del keys Preferably Core 2 Duo Decent battery life P.S. The config of the netbook handed out at PDC seems pretty awesome.

    HI all I am using some files on .mm extension in the xcode project for compiling these files we have added the LLVM-GCC 4.2 in the build setting after adding this compiler this showing the error /Developer/Platforms/iPhoneSimulator.platform/Developer/SDKs/iPhoneSimulator3.1.sdk/usr/include/stdarg.h:4:25: error: stdarg.h: No such file or directory /Developer/Platforms/iPhoneSimulator.platform/Developer/SDKs/iPhoneSimulator3.1.sdk/usr/include/float.h:8:24: error: float.h: No such file or directory i have no idea how to remove this error any help to remove this error. thanks Balraj

    Hello ! I have Visual Studio 2008 (sp1, .NET 3.5). I have installed Silverlight 3 SDK and Silverlight 4 SDK beta + Sivelrlight toolkit. I also have installed Windows Phone Developer Tools CTP that includes Visual Studio 2010 Express for Windows Phone CTP. I have noticed that when i start a new project in VS2008 all the Silverlight templates are missing. Any tip how to get them? Thanx !

    I've been using SVN for my projects and had visualSVN for VS integration. however the Git work flow is different from traditional source control systems (Checkout/edit/stage/commit as oppose to Checkout/edit/commit).   • WCF: 'Update Service Reference' hoses my files.

    Every time that I make a change to the contract of my WCF service, I need to have Visual Studio update the service references in all of my client projects. This process regenerates my client's app.config file and, since I have hand-tuned the "bindings" section of the file, I need to back-up my file and then restore it each time I have VS do the update. Is there a way to avoid this necessity (eg: have VS update the service reference without rewriting anything in app.config)? Thanks

    When I run KitchenSink example project on iPhone emulator everything is OK, but trying to launch for Android emulator produces errors: [ERROR] /Users/lukasz/Android/android-sdk-mac_x86/tools/apkbuilder [ERROR] Failed installing com.appcelerator.kitchensink: pkg: /data/local/tmp/app.apk It happens whatever Androig API I choose (from 1.5 to 2.2 or from APIs 1.5 to APIs 2.2). I am using Titanium Developer 1.2.1, titanium SDK 1.4.1.11 Where is the problem? As far as I can see Android SDKs and platforms work correctly because I can successfully compile Android projects from diffrent IDE (Netbeans).

One is oracle thin driver, and the other is OCI driver that requires its own installation (please correct if I'm misunderstanding). Now, what are the pros and cons? Obviously thin driver sounds much better in terms of installation, but is there anything that OCI can and the thin one can't?     I'm implementing a custom text box using -interpretKeyEvents: and am trying to figure out what the difference is between moveBackward: vs moveLeft: and moveForward: vs moveRight:. moveLeft: is bound to the left arrow and moveBackward: is bound to Ctrl + B. The documentation describes them almost identically and they seem to behave identically in practice. I'm assuming this is just a holdover from Vim? Does anyone know what the real difference is? Should moveBackward: just call my moveLeft: implementation? Thanks a lot, Nick

    Hi, I'm developing a Work item Custom Control and I need to use the standard VS's Merge Wizard for items in source control from my code to allow to user choose the target branch, resolve conflicts etc. I'm pretty sure it's possible in some way (even through the reflection), but I just can't find the proper class in any of VS client assemblies (Microsoft.TeamFoundation.VersionControl.Controls.dll, Microsoft.TeamFoundation.VersionControl.Client.dll).     Hi everone, I play with Sharepoint 2010 und VS 2010 Webparts. The deployment of the webpart from VS to sharepoint takes about 25 sec. But when I start the sharepoint website from ie it takes about 2-3 minutes for the first time after deployment of the new webpart. Is this the normal time ? thanx Stephan
