Live output from .jar executed by PHP

I have a php-script which executes a .jar-file: <?php passthru("java -jar nlp-server.jar 9000"); ?> I want to display the output generated by this .jar-file on a website. The problematic part is the fact that the .jar-file doesnt finish executing because its a server-application. Thus navigating to the php-file wont help and I didnt manage to make AJAX work either. Is there a way to display the "live" output of the .jar-file on a website?

Magento: custom module layout override not working

I have a small custom module which is supposed to show on all product pages, but it doesn't. It only shows when setting its reference to "content", but I want it to display witin the already existing product view divs, thus, display it within the "product.info" reference. I need to display a section or another in a smarty template. My condition is simple: if a smarty value starts with a string I should display one section, otherwise the other smarty section should be displayed. In short: I need to find a way to implement swipe action (touchEvent) for my Calendar just like the default Android Calendar one. I am using GridView to make a calendar for my application. When I touch any date, I launch an activity to display details on that date. My problem is that now I tried to implement swipe to change month/year to display but I dont know a way to do it. I tried to use setOnTouchListener on GridView but it seems like detecting for each grid separately instead of the whole grid as one. Further problem would be that it overridden my onItemClick implementation as well.

I’m starting to develop my first full-blown Cocoa application containing a view which I would like to behave (and look) similar to Automator’s AMWorkflowView. The basic features I’d like to achieve: Positioning of subviews Display of subviews in expanded / collapsed states Multiple selection Drag and drop In order to get accustomed to Cocoa, I started with a custom NSView which mainly served as a container for the custom subviews and handled their positioning and multiple selection. The subviews are also subclasses of NSView, and contain a variable amount of views themselves, like buttons, labels and popup menus, and therefore can have different heights. This worked quite well, but before going on, I want to make sure to have everything neat and tidy according to the MVC pattern. I suspect that there already is a class in Cocoa that facilitates the implementation of a view container, like maybe NSCollectionView. It seems that there is no (easy) way to display differently sized views in an NSCollectionView, though. Should I continue implementing my custom NSView (probably using an NSArrayController for selection and sorting support), or are there better ways to go? Any help is much appreciated

Flush() not working in drupal

I'm trying to post data from one node to another. The other node contains the for loop which iterates for long time and finally generates the table. I want to display the result after each iteration. I have tried to put "flush();" but it is not working. What should i do to display each iteration result on the node page? Note: If i do it with ob_flush() it works but it then starts printing data above the header which is not suitable. I want all the data inside the node.

I would like the ImageView's height to dynamically increase depending on the max height of the screen. I'm aligning the layout containing the buttons along the bottom of edge of the screen, and I would like the rest of the screen taken up by the above ImageView. Also, since the ImageView contains a centered image, I would also like to set min height, and a scrollbar if the screen is too small to display the imageview and the buttons below. Thanks! Begin Viewing Query Results Before Query Ends

OK, so say I have a table with 500K rows, then I ad-hoc query with unsupported indexing which requires a full table scan. I would like to immediately view the first rows returned while the full table scan continues. Then I want to scroll thru the next results. In the meantime, I would like to display the progress of the table scan, example: "SEARCHING.. FOUND 23 OF 500,000 ROWS SO FAR". If I scroll too far ahead, I want to display a message like: "REACHED LAST ROW IN LOOK-AHEAD BUFFER.. QUERY HAS NOT COMPLETED".. Can this be done? Maybe like: spawn/exec, declare scroll cursor, open, fetch, etc.?

The main FLA is called HelloWorld. I have a symbol called "Box" in HelloWorld. I just would like to add an instance of the "Box" on the stage. Hi, there is a script in my html tag <script type="text/javascript"> function setTaxDisplay(display) { window.location.href += (window.location.href.indexOf('?') > -1 ? '&' : '?') + 'taxInclude=' + display; } </script> When passed to validation It returns that the ampersand there isn't valid, but it's absolutely vital to the function of the page, is there a way I can make the validator ignore this? I don't need to validate the page, I'm no JS expert at all I'm not sure if I can replace it with &. Thanks.

CSS not displayed depending on page

I have a friend that has a really strange issue with my website. When he clicks on http://www.copeo.fr/ the page displays fine but when he clicks on a link like www.copeo.fr/user/ the CSS is not applied even after a refresh. The raw html does display. I asked him to display the CSS that is hosted on amazon S3 hcopeoressources.s3.amazonaws.com/style/futurvert/style.css and it displays fine. The code validates on W3C validator so does the CSS. I am lost what could be the origin of the issue. Could it be its enterprise cache? configuration of IE7 on his machine? If it happens to someone else who could explain the issue to me, I am all hears. Thanks

C# gridview nested in repeater update

My current situation is to display an unknown number of Plantypes and within those Plantypes display a list of Participants(also unknown number), the participants have a textbox and a dropdown that is editable (you can't edit the individual rows, there is one update that does a bit of validation then updates all rows.) I currently have a gridview nested withing a repeater, the repeater displays the Plan in a label and OnItemDataBound I call a method to populate the gridviews. It looks great, but I can't figure out how to save all the data at once. I'm not opposed to handling this a different way, as in loose the gridview and or repeater, if someone has a better idea. This is C# and framework 2.0...there is no sorting or paging on the gridviews...just some links and the fields to update. thanks in advance, Padawan

Adding Controls Programatically

I have a page I need to build out where depending on the selection the user made on a form on the page prior it displays a different set of questions for them to answer. So say the user selects Reason A from the form on page edit, then it needs to display Questions 1 and 2 on page edit_confirmation. But if they select Reason B then it needs to display Questions 3 and 4. I'm grabbing the reason code from the query string and have a switch statement set up, but I can't find anywhere how to output different controls. If Questions 1 and 2 are supposed to show up, one could be a text box and the other a checkbox, but if questions 3 and 4 are supposed to show up one may need to be a dropdown list and a checkbox.

Storing apostrophes, exclamation marks, etc. in mysql database

I changed from latin1 to utf8. Although all sorts of text was displaying fine I noticed non-english characters were stored in the database as weird symbols. I spent a day trying to fix that and finally now non-english characters display as non-english characters in the database and display the same on the browser. However I noticed that I see apostrophes stored as ' and exclamation marks stored as !. Is this normal, or should they be appearing as ' and ! in the database instead? If so, what would I need to do in order to fix that?

This has got to be a FAQ, so can someone please just direct me to a "network programming for dummies" URL? The server wants to push information to a client or broadcast to all, when an event happens - as opposed to the clients constantly polling the server "just in case". The client then updates a browser page display. How do I do that? (toldya it was a n00b question) Should I have a thread which receives info on a socket and then writes it to a database which the browser display (PHP) can process with an HTML refresh tag, or what? Sorry to sound so dumb.

Jquery toggle with two elements

I am using a toggle on a graphic to slide out a contact form. The problem is, the contact form can cover up the graphic element on low resolutions. I thought a solution would be to include a "close this" inside the form, that would use the same toggle effect. When I add the close this element to the code, instead of working in tandem with the original graphic element, it starts the chain back over, and slides the contact form even further out. I have a situation where I need to, based on user selection and some server-side processing, display a message to allow user to choose to continue processing or cancel. I have a RadGrid populated with data from the database. When User adds a new item to the grid,I want to do some processing in the back end and then inform the user of what could result and give him/her the choice to continue and believe that a message box or modal popup/radalert is the best way to do it, but how do I create the message in the back end and then using a popup, display the message and block until user responds. How do i open Google Maps for directions using coordinates on the iphone

I am using UIMapView to display locations on the iPhone. I want to do a directions from current location to the location of interest, I don't think its possible using MapKit (but if it is please inform) So I will open either the Google Maps application or safari to display it. Can i do this by specifying co-ordinates from (current location) to co-ordinates (the location of interest) I have these longitudes and latitudes. Or do i have to use street addresses? If I do have to use street addresses, can i get them from the latitude and longitude.

Listview icons show up blurry (C#)

I'm attempting to display a "LargeIcon" view in a listview control, however the images I specify are blurry. This is what I have so far: The .png files are 48x48 and that's what I have it set to display at in the ImageList properties. There's one thing that I've noticed (which is probably the cause) but I don't know how to change it. Inside the "Images Collection Editor" where you choose what images you want for the ImageList control, it looks like it's setting the wrong size for each image. As you can see the "PhysicalDimension" and the "Size" is set to 16x16 and not abled to be manipulated. Does anyone have any ideas? Many thanks!

Exception wrapping and HTML pages

Hi, We have a sharepoint 2007 project at work. The exception handling policy is to log to the Sharepoint logs. In this case, would the best approach be to call that method and then rethrow the exception higher up? Except if I rethrow it to be caught higher up, there is no other exception handling code so what would happen in this case? Also, if you are going to display a more friendly error to the user (which uses information in the exception object), then this would be a good use of exception wrapping. Would it be a good idea to make a custom aspx page and add these to customerrors, so that on init (not sure of the exact event), I can display exception info in the passed parameter on the page. However, a static html page can't do this so I don't see the point in wrapping exceptions (unless there is a page or alert which uses the exception object). So if a project uses html pages for errors, is there a point in wrapping exceptions? Thanks
