• ASP .NET MVC partial views and routing

  Hi, I have an MVC view that contains a number of partial views. These partial views are populated using partial requests so the controller for the view itself doesn't pass any data to them. Is it possible to reload the data in one of those partial views if an action was triggered in another? For example, one partial view has a jqGrid and I want to refresh the data in another partial view when a user selects a new row in this grid. Is there a code example for this scenario (in C#) that I can look at to see what am I doing wrong? I am using ajax calls to trigger a new request but non of the partial views are refreshed so I am not sure if the issue is with the routing, the controller, or if this even possible at all! Thanks!

  I intended for this function to call my MVC action method that returns a CSV report. $(function() { $('#exportButton').click(function() { $.get('/curReport/GetCSVReport'); }); }); If I make a button like the code below then, when it is clicked, I'm given the "Open with/Save File" window. <input type="button" value="Export" onClick="location.href='CurReport/GetCSVReport'"> However, when I change my button to use my jQuery function then, although GetCSVReport() is called I'm not given the "Open with/Save File" window.   So we have an f:event: <f:metadata> <f:event type="preRenderView" listener="#{dashboardBacking.loadProjectListFromDB}"/> </f:metadata> Which is triggered as desired on initial page load (render). However this preRenderView event is also triggered by an ajax partial page render, which re-renders an h:panelgroup with the id projectListing, as below. <h:commandButton action="#{mrBean.addProject}" value="Create Project" title="Start a new project"> <f:ajax render="projectListing" /> </h:commandButton> I only want the dashboardBacking.loadProjectListFromDB to be called for the initial page render, but not when there is an ajax partial render. Is there a more appropriate event or method I could be using?

• Re-Apply currency formatting to a UITextField on a change event

  Howdy all, I'm working with a UITextField that holds a localized currency value. I've seen lots of posts on how to work with this, but my question is: how do I re-apply currency formatting to the UITextField after every key press? I know that I can set up and use a currency formatter with: NSNumberFormatter *currencyFormatter = [[NSNumberFormatter alloc] init]; [currencyFormatter setNumberStyle:NSNumberFormatterCurrencyStyle]; ... [currencyFormatter stringFromNumber:...]; but I don't know how to hook it up. For instance, if the value in the field reads "$12,345" and the user taps the "6" key, then the value should change to "$123,456". Which callback is the "correct" one to do this in (should I use textField:shouldChangeCharactersInRange:replacementString: or a custom target-action) and how do I use the NSNumberFormatter to parse and re-apply formatting to the UITextField's text property? Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks!

• 'NSInvalidArgumentException' UIButton IBAction Error

  Hi, I have a button in a view which refuses to work. I've got in working in a blank, default view application from X-Code, but in none of my applications will it work, instead it gives me the following error. Terminating app due to uncaught exception 'NSInvalidArgumentException', reason: '* -[UIViewController showVicInfo:]: unrecognized selector sent to instance 0x3c084f0' The debugger isn't any help either. I've made sure that I hook up the button to the file's owner (not the other way around) as well. Below is the code for the action.   Currently there is (afaik) one completed Clojure book available: Programming Clojure by Stuart Halloway. Two are being written and partially available at Manning: The Joy of Clojure by Fogus and Houser Clojure in Action by Amit Rathore Another one is about to be published in May: Practical Clojure (The Definitive Guide) by Luke Van der Hart Are these books more or less the same and meant as a general introduction to Clojure? Does it make sense to buy them all, or is there a risk of having three very similar books? Will there be books that go into more specialized areas of Clojure and targetted for 'intermediate' or 'advanced' Clojure programmers?

• UINavigationController from UIViewController

  I currently have this workflow in a tab based app: Tab1 loads... ViewOne : UIViewController >> PickerView : UIViewController >> DetailView : UIViewController "" means loads based on user action. I'd like navigation bars on PickerView and DetailView. PickerView just needs a cancel button in the top left of its nav bar. DetailView needs the normal navbar back button. I already have PickerView's nav bar wired up through IB and working. I'm not sure what to do with PickerView's nav bar. PickerView is also loaded from Tab2, who's main view starts as a UINavigationController. PickerView's nav bar works fine in that case. ViewOne should not have a navigation bar. Any ideas?

  So I'm using a basic formmail script. Within the script I'm using a redirect variable. The value of the redirect is something like,"http://www.mysite.com/NewOLS_GCUK_EN/bling.aspx?BC=GCUK&IBC=CSEE&SIBC=CSEE" When the redirect action happens however, the url appears in the browser as: http://www.mysite.com/NewOLS_GCUK_EN/bling.aspx?BC=GCUK&amp;IBC=CSEE&amp;SIBC=CSEE you can see the &'s are replaced with "& a m p ;" is there any way to fix this? • Visual C# 2008 Express deployment

  Hello, is there any way I can add some files in the deployment process so they get copied in the installation? I need an xml file that has some data that the application needs, I tried every option in the build action for the file but nothing works, the application always crashes after the installation. Also, I'd like the program to be installed under the Program Files directory. The folder where VS Express installs it it's weird some C:\Users\Carlo\Temp\Applications\weirdnumbers9231FFC231\ directory, and I don't want that either. Thanks in advance!

  What is the best method to obfuscate the urls created in Dynamic Data? eg \Products\List.aspx?ProductId=2 could become \Products\List.aspx?x=UHJvZHVjdElkPTI= where "ProductId=2" is base 64 encoded to prevent casual snooping on \Products\List.aspx?ProductId=3 \Products\List.aspx?ProductId=4 etc...? I will probably have to inherit from an existing object and override some function The question is which object and what function GetActionPath of the Metamodel object seems interesting, but how does the DynamicRoute "{table}/{Action}.aspx" play in into it...   I have an application where I need to INSERT an auto_increment value from a PK in another table. I know how to do this in PHP, but I need to have this done at the DB level, since I cannot change the program logic. I am new to triggers, so I'm sure this will be an easy answer for someone. Here is what I have so far: DELIMITER // CREATE TRIGGER new_project AFTER INSERT ON m_quality_header FOR EACH ROW BEGIN INSERT INTO m_quality_detail (d_matl_qa_ID) VALUES (NEW.h_matl_qa_ID); END// DELIMITER ; I just want the value of the auto_increment value from h_matl_qa_ID to be inserted as a new record into d_matl_qa_ID. The error I get is: "This version of MySQL doesn't yet support 'multiple triggers with the same action time and event for one table' But, I don't want to update the table that has the trigger, so why is my current code considered a 'multiple' trigger? This is on MySQL 5.0.45-7.el5 running on a CentOS 5 server (64-bit Intel) If I have to, I can modify the PHP code, but that needs to be the last resort.

  I am writing a add-on module which is integrated with an existing PHP application; Because I am using a MVC pattern, and which may requires lot of inclusion of classes (which might not be used at all depending on the action of the user), I decide to use autoloading of classes. However, I have to ensure that the autoload function does not interferes with the normal operations of the existing applications. Does autoload only kicks in if a class name is not defined? Say I have to write another module which uses its own autoload functions (say, I have an autoload for a module, since they each reside in their own folder), how do I differentiate which module is it for? For #2, I thought of 2 options. Either prefix the class name with the module name (Such as 'MyNewModule_View_Default' and 'AnotherModule_View_Default'), or use file_exists to check the include file exists. Other suggestions are welcomed too!

• How to make parameters optional when using Rails named routes?

  I have a named route: map.find '/find/:category/:state/:search_term/:permalink', :search_term=>nil, :controller=>'find', :action=>'show_match' and the following URL matches it & works OK: http://localhost:3000/find/cars/ca/TestSeachTerm/bumpedupphoto-test but if I take out the 2nd last parameter i.e. "TestSearchTerm", then the route fails to get matched, even though I have :search_term=nil in the route. http://localhost:3000/find/cars/ca//bumpedupphoto-test Can anyone see what I am doing wrong? Being trying to solve this for a few days now. Thanks!

  I'm trying to set up some ports from a WIX installer. For WinXP we use httpcfg in a custom action and this works fine. For Win7, we're trying: netsh http add urlacl url=http://127.0.0.1/8346/ user="NT AUTHORITY\Authenticated Users" sddl="D:(A;;GX;;;AU)" The WIX installer correctly executes this statement and sets up the ports - FOR THE ADMINISTRATOR who runs the .msi. Users with lesser priviliges cannot access these ports. I need to set it up for all users on the machine, but I've tried about everything I can think of with no luck. Something I find odd is that the Admin user can see the assigned ports using netstat -a, but they do not appear at all using netsh http show urlacl...is that an indicator of something wrong?

  Hi there, I have readed about how to prevent CSRF-attacks in the last days. I am going to update the token in every pageload, save the token in the session and make a check when submitting a form. But what if the user has, lets say 3 tabs open with my website, and I just store the last token in the session? This will overwrite the token with another token, and some post-action is going to fail. Do I need to store all tokens in the session, or is there a better solution to get this working? • Can I refresh a Yii CGridView from js?

  When a "Create" modal dialog is submitted via XHR Then the rows in a Yii CGridView should be refreshed. I've tried to achieve this by rendering the new gridview in the XHR "create" action and then inserting it into the page via $("#list").html(response), but rendering a CGridView causes jQuery <script> include tags to be registered for inclusion, and so when I introduce those tags into the page they reload jQuery, which wipes out my live event handlers, so a bunch of stuff breaks. Which has me thinking, "the GridView knows how to refresh itself. heck, it does all the time on sort or page." So I can click a sort button in the GridView from js, but thats less than Ideal. I'd prefer to say $("#list").gridview('reload') or $.fn.gridview.reload("#list") or some such sense. Or do the way cool thing that is soo much simpler that you thought of just now.

  Hello. I have just started my first project on GeoDjango. As a matter of fact, with GeoDjango powered Admin application we all have a great possibility to view/edit spatial data, associated with the current object. The problem is that after the objects having been populated I need to render several objects' associated geometry at once on a single map. I might implement it as a model action, redirecting to a custom view. I just don't know, how to include the OpenLayers widget in the view and how to render there my compound geometry from my GeoQuerySet. I would be very thankful for any hint from an experienced GeoDjango programmer.

I want to add buttons to the UINavigationbar of the uinavigataioncontroller, usually I write code to add these buttons, something like this: UIBarButtonItem *saveButton = [[UIBarButtonItem alloc] initWithBarButtonSystemItem:UIBarButtonSystemItemSave target:self action:@selector(saveClicked:)]; self.navigationItem.rightBarButtonItem = saveButton; [saveButton release]; My idea now was to use interface builder instead. But I'm not sure how to do it. What I'm trying to do is to add a UINavigationItem in the xib file of the viewcontroller (my viewcontroller is called TextViewController), something like this: See this image: http://i48.tinypic.com/qq5yk7.jpg But how can I make TextViewController use the UINavigationItem I added? The button I add doesn't show in the navigationbar. Any ideas on how to do this? What am I missing?
