I have established an ssh tunnel to an intermediate server in the internet like this: remoteuser@behind_fw$ ssh -N -f -R 10002:localhost:22 middleuser@middle But I can't connect directly throgh this server, this doesn't work: user@local$ ssh remoteuser@middle -p 10002 I have to connect in two steps: user@local$ ssh middleuser@middle middleuser@middle$ ssh remoteuser@localhost -p 10002 Output of netstat -l on middle: tcp 0 0 localhost:10002 *:* LISTEN but it should be something like this: tcp 0 0 *:10002 *:* LISTEN how can I achieve this?

  • Hibernate -using Table per subclass - how to link an existing superclass object to a sibclass object

    Hi, I have a User hibernate class, Clerk class and Consumer class. All these maps to their own tables in database. The User PK also acts as Clerk's and Consumer's PK. So now my problem is that if a user is initially a Clerk, he has a record in Users table and Clerks table. If that user wants to become a consumer, I want to link that User's record to the new Consumer's record. So even if I pass the userId to the consumer's record, it treats it as a new User to be persisted and gives a duplicate_key exception. How do I tell Hiernate to link the same user object with this new Consumer object. Thanks in advance, -Chandni

  • How can I make a security token automatically expire in a passive STS setup?

    I have a passive STS set up for a new application I'm working on. I've noticed that when a user's session expires, the user is still authenticated. I would have thought that when the session expires, the user would no longer be authenticated. My boss discussed this with me as I am currently charged with setting up the authentication. He says that it would be good if we could make the user's log on expire after a certain period of inactivity similar to how the session expires. I am familiar with how to sign a user out with a few lines of code. How can I make it so that the user is automatically signed out after a specified period of inactivity? Currently, I have some code in the global.asax file that programmatically checks when the last request was and compares it to the current time; it then signs the user out if a certain period of time has expired.

The base class extends System.Web.UI.Page Furthermore i have a Base User control class where are defined all the properties common to the user controls. the Base User Control extends System.Web.UI.UserControl all the properties in both base classes are protected. All the web pages extends the base class . All the controls extends the base user control class. The problem is i can not access the properties defined in the base class from the user controls and I can not extend two classes in the base user controls The question is how can i access the properties defined in the Base class from within the user controls?   • How to make an ISO copy of Linux-filesystem and user files of VPS Debian based?

    Hello! I have a Debian-Based VPS on some hosting. I want to migrate from it and i need to make a full copy of all Linux-filesystem (and installed packages) + all home directory with website files. And then pack/convert it to ISO image so that to use it on cloud hostings like Amazon. The problem is that i have only ssh root access. Hosting support can't do that for me. Another part of the question - is it possible to enlarge the Linux-filesystem by not re-installing it and using the free space of home directory? Is it possible to do? I guess it is possible with rsync or something like that. Will my Mysql databes copy together with all other data? Thanks in advance!

    I have a remote tracking branch tracked locally in my local repository using 'git branch -b branch-name origin/branch-name'. My remote branch is test2/test2 (origin/branch-name) which is being tracked locally as test2. The origin is also named test2. I haven't checked-out my local tracking branch test2. When i do a 'git pull origin remote-branch:local-tracked-branch' i get this error [test2]$ git pull test2 test2:test2 From /gitvobs/git_bare/test2 ! [rejected] test2 - test2 (non fast forward) Whereas when i checkout my local tracking branch test2 and do pull 'git pull origin local-tracked-branch' i don't get the error and i do a pull using 'git pull test2 test2' From /gitvobs/git_bare/test2 * branch test2 - FETCH_HEAD Auto-merging a.txt Automatic merge failed; fix conflicts and then commit the result. i know that adding a + (git pull test2 +test2:test2) would help but it overwrites local changes. So how do i know which of my local branches are created by me locally using 'git branch new-branch-name' or tracked locally from remote branches using git branch -b branch-name origin/branch-name'?

  • asp.net mvc 3 iis 7.5 404 error

    Well works fine on my dev machine. Deploys fine from visual studio 2010 using msdeploy to IIS 7.5 with a site named apps.mydomain.com/myapp. So essentially I want to browse to http://apps.mydomain.com/myapp but when I do I get 404 error. I have Windows authentication enabled only on the site everything else is disabled. I have installed hotfix http://support.microsoft.com/kb/980368. App pool .NET 4 integrated pipeline. I have tried classic pipeline also but doesn't work. Edit 2 executed %windir%\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v4.0.30319\aspnet_regiis.exe -ir still doesn't work What am I doing wrong or do I need to do anything else?     I am running the command time 7zr a -mx=9 sample.7z sample.log to gauge how long it takes to compress a file larger than 1GB. The results I get are as follows. real 10m40.156s user 17m38.862s sys 0m5.944s I have a basic understanding of the difference but don't understand how this plays a role in the time in takes to compress the file. For example should I be looking at real or user + sys?

  • Have the default security settings changed in Windows 7 that would affect IPrincipal.IsInRole?

    We use NTLM auth in our application to determine whether a user can perform certain operations. We use the IPrincipal of their current Windows login (in WinForms applications), calling IsInRole to check for specific group memberships. To check that a user is a local administrator on the machine, we use: AppDomain.CurrentDomain.SetPrincipalPolicy(PrincipalPolicy.WindowsPrincipal); ... bool allowed = Thread.CurrentPrincipal.IsInRole(@"Builtin\Administrators") This works if the current user is the Administrator user, or is another user that is a member of the Builtin\Administrators group. In our testing on Windows 7, we have found that this no longer works as expected. The Administrator user still works fine, but any other user that is a member of the Builtin\Administrators group returns false for the IsInRole call. What could be causing this difference? I have a gut feeling that a default setting has changed somewhere (possible in gpedit), but cannot find anything that looks like the culprit.

I want the Editor to be able to add new content (eg. a news post) but before publication it has to be acknowledged by Supervisor. When Editor lists all items, I want to set some fields on the models (like an 'ack' field) as read-only (so he could know what had been ack'ed and what's still waiting approval) but the Supervisor should be able to change everything (list_editable would be perfect) What are the possible solutions to this problem?

    Windows 7 64 bit. The only recent change was I installed two updates for MS Office, and a cumulative security update for IE. As soon as I choose a user and login, after loading my user profile it states the preparing your desktop message, and then powers off. I have used DaRT to check the event log, but nothing is recorded. Ideas?

    my site is aimed purely at the laptop market (dont ask why or argue!), all my users (or 95%+) we on a screen width of 1200+, netbooks are now taking off, with a resolution of 1024 wide. my site still looks great on a netbook if you zoom out once (ctrl-minus), but i don't want to rely on users knowing about ctrl-minus. what are my options besides redesign? I'm keen not to have zoom buttons on my page. is there a javascript zoomer outer?!!!

    Is it possible to use global variables in C#? I'm coming from mainly a PHP background so variables are either accessible everywhere or just a global definition away. My main issue is I have a User class that I built myself to wrap around the current users table on my company's database. I am defining it in the MasterPage but can't seem to access it from the actual pages (I don't know if there's a better word to describe them but they are the pages that inherit the styles and format from the MasterPage) Any general tips or implementation practices for me?
