    Who’s provides the best 3rd party Silverlight controls for LOB applications? In the past I’ve used Infragistics for WinForm controls which were very good and they also provide good support. However seem to be a bit behind the likes of Telerik in the Silverlight space? I’ve also noticed the Silverlight toolkit as well – are these as robust as Telerik’s? I'd be grateful if anyone could share any opinions or experiences that they may have.

    Hello, I would like to know if is there any easy way to test actionscript by using some kind of application like ruby's irb or javasctip spidermonkey where you can just open up your terminal and type the code straight away. This would be a good time saver when speaking of actionscript, since to test some syntaxes, classes, etc. you would need to compile it via fsch. but still not a good option just for quick testing, etc...     whenever using a framework it's so good with a api reference so you could lookup the classes' methods and properties, which class they extend from and so on. is there a api reference for codeigniter similar to yii's excellent api referenc? http://www.yiiframework.com/doc/api/ how else could you know more about the details about the classes if there isn't a good api reference. java's api reference is also great: http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/docs/api/ why can't i find codeigniter's. thanks.

  • complete, monospaced Unicode font?

    I'm looking for a good programming font that lets me add comments and string literals in Unicode, usually Japanese and Chinese along with some Latin and Cyrillic languages. So far the situation seems to be "complete, monospace, free, pick 2" and Google is failing me with this (maybe because there are no good ones?). The best I found is Arial Unicode but it's not monospace, which is a big nuisance for me and the editors I use. Not to mention Python indentation when I'm coding Python. (Links, edits are welcome)

    Hi, I've been testing this upload script and it looks really good, but i just can't get it to post values, that i have extracted from inputs. Everything is looking good and it seems I'm writing everything correctly but it just stops SWF DEBUG: Event: uploadStart : File ID: SWFUpload_0_0, there's my piece of code which causes these troubles .bind('uploadStart', function(event, file){ $(this).addPostParam( "title", "asd"); }) I'm using it as jquery plugin, maybe that's the problem? Thanks!

I am more looking for disadvantages of the paradigm as a whole, not things like "not widely used", or "no good debugger available".     I love webpy, it's really quite Pythonic but I don't like having to add the url mappings and create a class, typically with just 1 function inside it. I'm interested in minimising code typing and prototyping fast. Does anyone have any up and coming suggestions such as Bobo, Bottle, Denied, cherrypy for a lover of webpy's good things? What makes it a good reason? Also I don't mind missing out (strongly) text based templating systems, I use object oriented HTML generation.

I have seen free apps on mobile phones that can do this and list the exact product name along with price comparison.
