  • Example of use of unregistered, dynamically created gen_server's?

    Tutorials are abound for working with gen_servers that are named in an OTP application. However, I've been unable to find a good example of dynamically spawning servers that are not registered (not named). Can someone point to a good, simple example? Not ejabberd, for example, where there is a lot to confuse the core idea I'm trying to get at. Thanks.

    Im really annoyed with Internet Explorer.I designed a site using css. The really annoying part is the cross browser issues.. The site works fine in all versions of FireFox and Chrome but when it comes to internet explorer. IE5 - The complete site is messed up with the alignments IE6 - Major Alignment problems. IE7 and 8 Works pretty good. Can someone please suggest some good methods to get rid of the cross browser issues with IE??

I do not want to compare graphs based on node labels. Or is there any other way how to topologicaly compare graphs with good java library?     I have two tables posts and comments. Table comments have post_id attribute. I need to get all posts with type "open", for which there are no comments with type "good" and created date MAY 1. Is it optimal to use such SQL-query: SELECT posts.* FROM posts WHERE NOT EXISTS ( SELECT comments.id FROM comments WHERE comments.post_id = posts.id AND comments.comment_type = 'good' AND comments.created_at BETWEEN '2010-05-01 00:00:00' AND '2010-05-01 23:59:59') I'm not sure that NOT EXISTS is perfect construction in this situation.

    I need some PHP classes that deal with image processing in a good manner. I have made a thumbnail creator myself but the end result quality is just horrible. Is it also possible to let PHP convert and save all images to one type. For example take an image(jpg,png,gif), compress it, resize it, and save as png.
