Depending on the screen input the user has to press or release button 3 but (s)he will have to keep either 1 or 2 depressed all the time.   I am building a new website for a friend of mine. Its all plain html, and a server side include. The problem is to build static pages for 500 products would not be fun to create, or maintain. So i am forced to at least put dynamic information on these pages based off a spreadsheet, or dynamic pages all together. What i want to do is have a spreadsheet that can be used to keep track of in stock quantity, sku numbers, ecc.. that way i dont have to update hundreds of pages every night. He can just edit the spreadsheet and the pages will automatically adjust. I am a busy man, and i am not asking anyone to just give me the answer. But to save some time what is more worth learning to get this done fastest. HTML5, PHP, JAVA asp, or is there somehthing else better suited?

(I have tried looking online but have found no good resources, maybe i am searching for for the wrong things to answer my questions) Questions -How do multiple servers work together? -Do they all have their independent hard drives storing different information? and if so, does the server dynamically locate files? -How do shell commands get executed? -How do they share the "load"? i.e. processing power, resources?   've registered xdebug in php.ini (as per http://xdebug.org/docs/install) but it's not showing up when i run "php -m" or when i get a test page to run "phpinfo()". I've just installed the latest version of XAMPP. I've used both "zend_extention" and "zend_extention_ts" to specify the path of the xdebug dll. I ensured that my apache server restarted and used the latest change of my php.ini by executing "httpd -k restart". Can anyone provide any suggestions in getting xdebug to show up?   Installed SharePoint Services v3 (SP2, october 2009 cumulative updates, Language Pack), attached to a content database I had previously (all works). Installed Search server 2008 Express (with language pack) on top of WSS and crawl does not work. However it works for newly created web application + database. Was playing around with accounts, permissions to try get it working. Currently I have WSS_Crawler account with such permissions: Office Search Server runs with WSS_Crawler account Config database has read permissions for WSS_Crawler Content database has read permissions for WSS_Crawler WSS_Crawler is owner of search database. Added WSS_Crawler to SQL server browser user group and administrator Yes, i'v given more permissions than needed, but it doesn't even work with that and i don't know if its permission problem or what. Crawl log says there is Error in the Site Data Web Service., nothing more. There were known issues with a similar error: Error in the Site Data Web Service. (Value does not fall within the expected range.), but this is not the case as thats an old issue and i hope it has been included in SP2... Logs are from olders to newest (descending order). • Metro apps crash on startup, driver or permissions issue?

  After installing Win8 x64 RC, Metro apps worked correctly, but desktop OpenGL apps were slow and unresponsive. I installed the latest Win8 nVidia drivers, and the OpenGL apps started working correctly. At the same time, because of annoying permission messages, I changed the C:\ drive and all its files ownerships to my user, and gave it full permission. I restarted my pc after installing the drivers, and now Metro apps only show the splash screen, then crash. I tried installing other versions of the nVidia drivers, with the same result. My GPU is a GeForce GTX275. Is this a known problem with nVidia drivers? Or maybe changing the ownership of C:\ is the real problem? Thank you. More information (after looking in the event viewer) I've managed to find the problem and the error in the Event Viewer. I still cannot solve it. • Unicenter Software Delivery 4 not able to connect to MS SQL 2000 Database after W2003 SP2 upgrade

  Hello Everyone Yesterday I installed the Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 2 on a Windows Server 2003 which has Unicenter Software Delivery 4 installed. Prior to the installation I disabled every CA service on the server (Brightstor, SDO , RCO, TNG) and the MS SQL 2000 service. After the installation of the SP2 I enabled the services again but the Unicenter Service is not able to connect to the MS SQL 2000 Database anymore. The database itself is up and running and I can connect to it with the Enterprise Manager. A dbcc checkdb doesnt return any errors on the Unicenter database. Should I deinstall the unicenter service and make a fresh installation on the server or should I remove the Windows Server 2003 SP2?   I recently installed OpenVPN on my Ubuntu VPS. Whenenver I try to connect to it, I can establish a connection just fine. However, everything I try to connect to times out. If I try to ping something, it will resolve the IP, but will time out after resolving the IP. (So DNS Server seems to be working correctly) My server.conf has this relevant information (At least I think it's relevant. • Blocking access to websites with objective-C / root privileges in objective-C

  I am writing a program in Objective-C (XCode 3.2, on Snow Leopard) that is capable of either selectively blocking certain sites for a duration or only allow certain sites (and thus block all others) for a duration. The reasoning behind this program is rather simple. I tend to get distracted when I have full internet access, but I do need internet access during my working hours to get to a number of work-related websites. Clearly, this is not a permanent block, but only helps me to focus whenever I find myself wandering a bit too much. At the moment, I am using a Unix script that is called via AppleScript to obtain Administrator permissions. It then activates a number of ipfw rules and clears those after a specific duration to restore full internet access. Simple and effective, but since I am running as a standard user, it gets cumbersome to enter my administrator password each and every time I want to go "offline". Furthermore, this is a great opportunity to learn to work with XCode and Objective-C. At the moment, everything works as expected, minus the actual blocking. I can add a number of sites in a list, specify whether or not I want to block or allow these websites and I can "start" the blocking by specifying a time until which I want to stay "offline". However, I find it hard to obtain clear information on how I can run a privileged Unix command from Objective-C. Ideally, I would like to be able to store information with respect to the Administrator account into the Keychain to use these later on, so that I can simply move into "offline" mode with the convenience of clicking a button. Even more ideally, there might be some class in Objective-C with which I can block access to some/all websites for this particular user without needing to rely on privileged Unix commands. A third possibility is in starting this program with root permissions and the reducing the permissions until I need them, but since this is a GUI application that is nested in the menu bar of OS X, the results are rather awkward and getting it to run each and every time with root permission is no easy task. Anyone who can offer me some pointers or advice? Please, no security-warnings, I am fully aware that what I want to do is a potential security threat.

  [Disclaimer: I'm ASP.NET MVC Developer] Hi, I'm looking for some best practices with implementing MVVM pattern with WCF RIA in Silverlight 4. I'm not looking to use MEF of IoC for locating my ViewModels. What I would like to know is how to apply MVVM pattern with Silverlight 4 and WCF RIA. I don't want to use other stuff like Prism or MVVM Light toolkit. I found many examples on Internet showing how it is wonderful to drag and drop a datasource on the view and the job is done (it reminds me about my first VB6 developments). I tried to implement MVVM with WCF RIA and it's not strightforward at all. If I understand, the MVVM should contain all the logic in order to unit test it in isolation but when it comes to combine it with WCF RIA it's another story. I have the following questions. Can I use a generated metadata as model ? It would be easier to use it that if I write all from the scratch. As I saw the only way I could get data is through DomainContext or through direct binding in the view (local ressource). I don't want the direct binding in the view, not testable at all. On the other hand I can't use DomainContext, it doesn't expose any single entity !!! All I have is the EntitySet that I can bind to datagrid. How do I bind a single Entity to the DataForm from the ViewModel ? How do I udpate the model to the database ? How do I navigate from one Entity to a collection of it's itemps. For example if I have a Company Entity I would like to show a DataFrom to update a entite informations and a datagrid to show companies adresses. When saving a form would like to save information to Company and for example an information avout which adress was selected as active. Please help me understand how to do it well. Or maybe I should drop the WCF RIA and to do it with WCF from scratch ? What do you think ?

• NSFetchedResultsController crashing on performFetch: when using a cache

  I make use of NSFetchedResultsController to display a bunch of objects, which are sectioned using dates. On a fresh install, it all works perfectly and the objects are displayed in the table view. However, it seems that when the app is relaunched I get a crash. I specify a cache when initialising the NSFetchedResultsController, and when I don't it works perfectly.   We have 2 identical database tables on our dev server. In both is a table that holds an X509Certificate2 data in one of its fields. When I grab the cert along with the password that I've been using all along, it works over the first database just fine. I run the same code though over the 2nd database and get this error and I don't get why if the setup is exactly the same and the database is also on this server. So I'm not sure why when I switch my connection string to talk to Database2, even though it's setup the same and the code I'm running over it is the same, it complains. • Troubleshooting .NET "Fatal Execution Engine Error"

  Summary: I periodically get a .NET Fatal Execution Engine Error on an application which I cannot seem to debug. The dialog that comes up only offers to close the program or send information about the error to Microsoft. I've tried looking at the more detailed information but I don't know how to make use of it. Error: The error is visible in Event Viewer under Applications and is as follows: .NET Runtime version 2.0.50727.3607 - Fatal Execution Engine Error (7A09795E) (80131506) The computer running it is Windows XP Professional SP 3. (Intel Core2Quad Q6600 2.4GHz w/ 2.0 GB of RAM) Other .NET-based projects that lack multi-threaded downloading (see below) seem to run just fine. Application: The application is written in C#/.NET 3.5 using VS2008, and installed via a setup project. The app is multi-threaded and downloads data from multiple web servers using System.Net.HttpWebRequest and its methods. I've determined that the .NET error has something to do with either threading or HttpWebRequest but I haven't been able to get any closer as this particular error seems impossible to debug. I've tried handling errors on many levels, including the following in Program.cs: // handle UI thread exceptions Application.ThreadException += new ThreadExceptionEventHandler(Application_ThreadException); // handle non-UI thread exceptions AppDomain.CurrentDomain.UnhandledException += new UnhandledExceptionEventHandler(CurrentDomain_UnhandledException); Application.EnableVisualStyles(); Application.SetCompatibleTextRenderingDefault(false); // force all windows forms errors to go through our handler Application.SetUnhandledExceptionMode(UnhandledExceptionMode.CatchException); More Notes and What I've Tried... Installed Visual Studio 2008 on the target machine and tried running in debug mode, but the error still occurs, with no hint as to where in source code it occurred. When running the program from its installed version (Release) the error occurs more frequently, usually within minutes of launching the application. When running the program in debug mode inside of VS2008, it can run for hours or days before generating the error. Reinstalled .NET 3.5 and made sure all updates are applied. Broke random cubicle objects in frustration. Rewritten parts of code that deal with threading and downloading in attempts to catch and log exceptions, though logging seemed to aggravate the problem (and never provided any data). Question: What steps can I take to troubleshoot or debug this kind of error? Memory dumps and the like seem to be the next step, but I'm not experienced at interpreting them. Perhaps there's something more I can do in the code to try and catch errors... It would be nice if the "Fatal Execution Engine Error" was more informative, but internet searches have only told me that it's a common error for a lot of .NET-related items.

  Since the last security changes in Java 7u40, it is required to sign a JNLP file. This can either be done by adding the final JNLP in JNLP-INF/APPLICATION.JNLP, or by providing a template JNLP in JNLP-INF/APPLICATION_TEMPLATE.JNLP in the signed main jar. The first way works well, but we would like to allow to pass a previously unknown number of runtime arguments to our application.
