• troubles creating a List of doubles from a list of objects

  Hi, i have a list with objects. The object has a property 'Sales' which is a string. Now i want to create a list of doubles with the values of all objects' 'Sales' properties. I tried this: var tmp = from n in e.Result select new{ Convert.ToDouble ( n.Sales) }; but this gives me this error: Error 106 Invalid anonymous type member declarator. Anonymous type members must be declared with a member assignment, simple name or member access.

  int* test( ) { int a = 5; int* b = &a; return b; } Will the result of test be a bad pointer? As far as I know a should be deleted and then b would become a messed up pointer, right? How about more complicated things, not an int pointer but the same with a class with 20 members or so?

  Hi, is there a way - much like the way i can see the result of preprocessing when using 'gcc -E' - to see what my objects look like once the compiler compiled them into object files? I am not too good in reading assembler, so an advice to get the results as text would be nice .. or at least a little 'howto read the constructor intructions' or 'howto find the constructor' ... I am talking about gcc/g++, but a solution including msvc would be fine. Thanks!

• is it possible to select EXISTS directly as a bit?

  I was wondering if it's possible to do something like this (which doesn't work): select cast( (exists(select * from theTable where theColumn like 'theValue%') as bit) Seems like it should be doable, but lots of things that should work in SQL don't ;) I've seen workarounds for this (SELECT 1 where... Exists...) but it seems like I should be able to just cast the result of the exists function as a bit and be done with it.

  Hi everyone, I'm trying to find an elegant way in Coffeescript to merge an array of arrays, so that [[1,2,3],[4,5,6],[7,8,9]] == [1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9]. As you might imagine, I need this because I'm generating arrays from a function in a "for in" construct and need to concatenate the resulting nested array: result = (generate_array(x) for x in arr) Is there an elegant way to handle this? I'm trying to show the progress bar on top of my activity and have it update the activity's table view in the background. How could I associate an executing query with such 'Address'. Please advice.
