    Hey all, I'm trying to have the following tag toggle between a "-" and the checkmark character (✓) <a id='p_4' class='fancy_button orange bls_button' href='#'>-</a> And here's the jquery code: if (button.text() == '-') { button.html('&#10003'); } This works in FF3.6 and IE8, but not in WebKit (Chrome or iPhone safari). Is there something I'm doing wrong, or does webkit just not like .html("✓") Thanks, Sam

    I would like users to be able to see the corresponding URL for an anchor tag generated by Html.ActionLink() when they hover over the link. This is done by setting the title attribute but where I'm stuck is figuring out how to get that value: @Html.ActionLink(@testrun.Name, "Download", "Trx", new { path = @testrun.TrxPath }, new { title = ??) How can I specify the URL that ActionLink is going to generate? I could hardcode something I guess but that violates DRY.

    In Html Agility Pack, when I set an attribute of an HtmlNode, should I see this in the HtmlDocument from which the node was selected? Lets say that htmlDocument is an HtmlDocument. So the simplified code looks like this: HtmlNode documentNode = htmlDocument.DocumentNode; HtmlNodeCollection nodeCollection = documentNode.SelectNodes(someXPath); foreach(var node in nodeCollection) if(SomeCondition(node)) node.SetAttributeValue("class","something"); Now, I see the class attribte of node change, but I don't see this change reflected in the htmlDocument's html.

Without any change to the original snippet. I'm able to get it by using the BeautifulSoup, but it changes all the tag names into lower case.

  • remote_form_for in index.html.erb file not working w/ AJAX...Ruby on Rails...

    Just curious if I am overlooking something simple here. I have deployed the remote_form_for in the show.html.erb code before to render comments on a post (project in this case) without a problem. I have moved this code to the index view and seems to degrade to the normal form_for action (page refresh). I am not getting any javascript errors so not sure what is wrong here.   • Why can't I get rid of default index.html even if I disable the default virtual host in Apache2?

    I have created a virtual host settings file and I disabled the default settings by using a2dissite default (this is a pretty standard Ubuntu 10.04 installation). But no matter what I try my Apache2 server simply keeps on displaying the default index.html page instead of the index.php page that I set up in the virtual host file. Can someone help me what I'm missing.     Hi everyone, I assume those who are reading this page know what vimwiki and dropbox.com are and what they are for, so I might directly go into my confusion. The common way of setting a PRIVATE vimwiki on dropbox is simply let your vimwiki directories be under Dropbox folder (but not Dropbox/Public/ because it would be PUBLIC). Dropbox allows directly viewing html with dropbox.com/* url: for example a index.html can be accessed by url https://dl-web.dropbox.com/get/Wiki/html/index.html?w=bfead71a, being added after the file name a specified string, ?w=bfead71a. Hence, if inside index.html there is reference to A.html, which is located in the same folder index.html is in, it has to be accessed using some url like https://dl-web.dropbox.com/get/Wiki/html/index.html?w=SPECIFIED_STRING. But it is seemingly impossible to hack vimwiki in order to make the hrefs in converted htmls corrected in this way. Is there some approach that can resolve this problem? I hope I make myself clear.
