  • [SOLVED]: Delegate OpenID to Google (NOT Google Apps)

    OK, I searched this question on SO but no good answer. After spent some time I figured out how to do it. I'm going to answer this myself as a way to share it. Not sure if this is the correct way to use SO, but here it goes: Now it is possible delegate OpenID to your Google account (not Google Apps). No, this is not using the demo OpenID provider using App Engine. This is your REAL Google account! First you need to enable your Google Profiles. Try to view your profile and edit it, there should be an option to set your Profile URL. You have two choices there: either use your Gmail account name (without the @gmail.com part) as your profile id, or a random number assigned to you. It's up to you to decide which one to use. Either way, that id is your profile id below. Now add the following HTML code to your delegating page: <link rel="openid2.provider" href="https://www.google.com/accounts/o8/ud?source=profiles" > <link rel="openid2.local_id" href="http://www.google.com/profiles/[YOUR PROFILE ID]" > And it's done. Now try login SO with your custom url!

  • Optimising RSS parsing on App Engine to avoid high CPU warnings

    I'm pulling some RSS feeds into a datastore in App Engine to serve up to an iPhone app. I use cron to schedule updating the RSS every x minutes. Each task only parses one RSS feed (which has 15-20 items). I frequently get warnings about high CPU usage in the App Engine dashboard, so I'm looking for ways to optimise my code. Currently, I use minidom (since it's already there on App Engine), but I suspect it's not very efficient! What can I do to make this faster? Is there anything particularly bad in the above code, or should I change to another way of parsing? Are there are any libraries (that work on App Engine) that would be better, or would I be better parsing the RSS myself?

The lightwindow script does not work because of the accordion script because if I delete the latter the lightwindow script works. There must be a conflict but what?   • Render an asp.net control from a text string

    Hi All, I'm not sure if it is possible to render an asp.net control from a string. The string contains fragments of html code and I've tried rendering that string to a div tag with runat="server" set, asp panel contain, asp lalbel control and asp literal control. All of them doesn't render the asp control in that text to an actual control, it just come up as a string. I've tried adding <% % around them and it appears it doesn't like it. Thanks in advance.

  • add jsf project facet in eclipse/ why need it?

    Hi, I started on JSF2.0. I followed a tutorial with no problem and all worked fine! I used Eclipse Helios. But I noticed something I can not understand. The tutorial said to add Project Facet for JSF 2. I did no such thing and all worked ok. So to follow tutorial exactly I did: Right-click on Project -Properties- Project Facets And JavaServer Faces check-box was not ticked. I assume this is what the tutorial means by Project Facet. I clicked on it and a Further Configuration Needed link appeared. I followed the link to a JSF capabilities (Modify Faceted Project) dialog, I selected as User library, my library of JSF(which is MyFaces) but I got the error message: Found multiple versions of the required class javax.faces.FactoryFinder. What is this error? Can't I add project facet after creating my project? And what do I need the project facet for? My (trivial) code indicates that JSF works ok, so what is the project Facet useful for? Thanks!

  • Building a python module and linking it against a MacOSX framework

    I'm trying to build a Python extension on MacOSX 10.6 and to link it against several frameworks (i386 only). I made a setup.py file, using distutils and the Extension object. I order to link against my frameworks, my LDFLAGS env var should look like : LDFLAGS = -lc -arch i386 -framework fwk1 -framework fwk2 As I did not find any 'framework' keyword in the Extension module documentation, I used the extra_link_args keyword instead. Extension('test', define_macros = [('MAJOR_VERSION', '1'), ,('MINOR_VERSION', '0')], include_dirs = ['/usr/local/include', 'include/', 'include/vitale'], extra_link_args = ['-arch i386', '-framework fwk1', '-framework fwk2'], sources = "testmodule.cpp", language = 'c++' ) Everything is compiling and linking fine. If I remove the -framework line from the extra_link_args, my linker fails, as expected. Here is the last two lines produced by a python setup.py build : /usr/bin/g++-4.2 -arch x86_64 -arch i386 -isysroot / -L/opt/local/lib -arch x86_64 -arch i386 -bundle -undefined dynamic_lookup build/temp.macosx-10.6-intel-2.6/testmodule.o -o build/lib.macosx-10.6-intel-2.6/test.so -arch i386 -framework sgdosx -framework srtosx -framework ssvosx -framework stsosx Unfortunately, the .so that I just produced is unable to find several symbols provided by this framework. I tried to check the linked framework with otool. None of them is appearing. $ otool -L test.so test.so: /usr/lib/libstdc++.6.dylib (compatibility version 7.0.0, current version 7.9.0) /usr/lib/libSystem.B.dylib (compatibility version 1.0.0, current version 125.0.1) There is the output of otool run on a test binary, made with g++ and ldd using the LDFLAGS described at the top of my post. On this example, the -framework did work. $ otool -L vitaosx vitaosx: /Library/Frameworks/sgdosx.framework/Versions/A/sgdosx (compatibility version 1.0.0, current version 1.0.0) /Library/Frameworks/ssvosx.framework/Versions/A/ssvosx (compatibility version 1.0.0, current version 1.0.0) /usr/lib/libstdc++.6.dylib (compatibility version 7.0.0, current version 7.9.0) /usr/lib/libSystem.B.dylib (compatibility version 1.0.0, current version 125.0.1) May this issue be linked to the "-undefined dynamic_lookup" flag on the linking step ?   • Getting error: "This webpage is not available" for my chrome app's options page

    My CRX had the proper html page options.html in it, the manifest declares it properly (it shows up as a link on the chrome://extensions page) but when I click that link, Chrome gives the error: This webpage is not available The webpage at chrome-extension://invalid/ might be temporarily down or it may have moved permanently to a new web address. It says "invalid" but the app runs perfectly well (all the content scripts run, the background created a database and saved to it). Why would it show as invalid? Why doesn't it have the extensions' id? Here's the manifest: { "manifest_version": 2, "name": "MyAPP", "description": "My App", "version": "0.0.0.32", "minimum_chrome_version": "27", "offline_enabled": true, "options_page": "options.html", "icons": { "16": "images/icon16.png", "48": "images/icon48.png", "128": "images/icon128.png" }, "app": { "background": { "scripts": [ "scripts/background.js" ] } }, "permissions": [ "unlimitedStorage", "fullscreen", { "fileSystem": [ "write" ] }, "background", "<all_urls>", "tabs" ] } Does it need to be declared in "web_accessible_resources"? When I remove the "app" section in the manifest, it works! This is a bug since the Chrome app documentation states that apps can have options pages: https://developer.chrome.com/apps/options.html

The code looks something like this: declare symbol_cursor package_name.record_cursor; symbol_record package_name.record_name; begin symbol_cursor := package_name.function_name('argument'); loop fetch symbol_cursor into symbol_record; exit when symbol_cursor%notfound; -- Do something with each record here, e.g.: dbms_output.put_line( symbol_record.field_a ); end loop; CLOSE symbol_cursor; When I run this from the same DB instance and schema where package_name belongs to I am able to run it fine. However, when I run this over a database link, (with the required modification to the stored proc name, etc) I get an oracle error: ORA-24338: statement handle not executed.     Hey guys, In Git I can do this: 1. Start working on new feature: $ git co -b newfeature-123 # (a local feature development branch) do a few commits (M, N, O) master A---B---C \ newfeature-123 M---N---O 2. Pull new changes from upstream master: $ git pull (master updated with ff-commits) master A---B---C---D---E---F \ newfeature-123 M---N---O 3. Rebase off master so that my new feature can be developed against the latest upstream changes: (from newfeature-123) $ git rebase master master A---B---C---D---E---F \ newfeature-123 M---N---O I want to know how to do the same thing in Mercurial, and I've scoured the web for an answer, but the best I could find was this: http://www.selenic.com/pipermail/mercurial/2007-June/013393.html That link provides 2 examples: 1. I'll admit that this: (replacing the revisions from the example with those from my own example) hg up -C F hg branch -f newfeature-123 hg transplant -a -b newfeature-123 is not too bad, except that it leaves behind the pre-rebase M-N-O as an unmerged head and creates 3 new commits M',N',O' that represent them branching off the updated mainline. Basically the problem is that I end up with this: master A---B---C---D---E---F \ \ newfeature-123 \ M'---N'---O' \ newfeature-123 M---N---O this is not good because it leaves behind local, unwanted commits that should be dropped. The other option from the same link is hg qimport -r M:O hg qpop -a hg up F hg branch newfeature-123 hg qpush -a hg qdel -r qbase:qtip and this does result in the desired graph: master A---B---C---D---E---F \ newfeature-123 M---N---O but these commands (all 6 of them!) seem so much more complicated than $ git rebase master I want to know if this is the only equivalent in Hg or if there is some other way available that is simple like Git. For example: In JDeveloper, change the default editor to Source view from Design view for JSP files.   Tools » Preferences » File Types » Default Editors » JSP Tag File By default, JDeveloper opens JSP files in Design view, which can take 10 to 15 seconds to begin editing a file. Opening files in Source view only takes 2 seconds.
