• How to checkout from SVN with an ANT task?

  I'm interested in any way that I can create an Ant task to checkout files from SubVersion. I "just" want to do the checkout from the command line. I've been using Eclipse with Ant and SubVersion for a while now, but my Ant and SubVersion knowledge is somewhat lacking as I relied on Eclipse to wire it all together. I've been looking at SvnAnt as one solution, which is part of Subclipse from Tigris at http://subclipse.tigris.org/svnant/svn.html. It may work fine, but all I get are NoClassDefFoundErrors. To the more experienced this probably looks like a simple Ant configuration problem, but I don't know about that. I copied the svnant.jar and svnclientadapter.jar into my Ant lib directory. • Convert C# Silverlight App To AZURE CLOUD Platform?!?!

  The Scenario I've been following Brad Abrams Silverlight tutorial on his blog.... I have tried following Brads "How to deploy your app to the Cloud" tutorial however i'm struggling with it, even though it is in the same context as the first tutorial.... The Question Is the application structure essentially the same as the original "non-cloud based version"!? If not, which parts are different? (I get that there is a Cloud Service project added to the solution) - but what else?! Connection String Issue In my "Non-Cloud based application", I make use of the ADO.Net Entity Framework to communicate with my database. • Convert ADO.Net EF Connection String To Be SQL Azure Cloud Connection String Compatible!?

  The Scenario I have written a Silverlight 3 Application that uses an SQL Server database. I'm moving the application onto the Cloud (Azure Platform). In order to do this I have had to setup my database on SQL Azure. I am using the ADO.Net Entity Framework to model my database. I have got the application running on the cloud, but I cannot get it to connect to the database. Below is the original localhost connection string, followed by the SQL Azure connection string that isn't working. The application itself runs fine, but fails when trying to retrieve data.   Hello, Language: C# Development Environment: Visual Studio 2008 Sorry if the english is not perfect. I want to login to a Website and get some Data from there. My Problem is that the Cookies does not work. Everytime the Website says that I should activate Cookies but i activated the Cookies trough a Cookiecontainer. I sniffed the traffic serveral times for the login progress and I see no problem there. I tried different methods to login and I have searched if someone else have this Problem but no results... • Visual Studio 2008: Can't connect to known good TFS 2010 beta 2

  A freshly installed TFS 2010 Beta 2 is at http://serverX:8080/tfs. A Windows 7 developer machine with VS 2008 Pro SP1 and the VS2008 Team Explorer (no SP). The TFS 2008 Service Pack 1 didn't work for me - "None of the products that are addressed by this software update are installed on this computer." The developer machine is able to browse the TFS site at the above URL. The Issue is around trying to add the TFS server into the Team Explorer window in Visual Studio 2008. Here's a screenshot showing the error: unable to connect to this Team Foundation Server. Possible reasons for failure include: The Team Foundation Server name, port number or protocol is incorrect. The Team Foundation Server is offline. Password is expired or incorrect. The TFS server is up and running properly. Firewall ports are open, and is accessible via the browser on the dev machine!! larger image Question: how can you connect from VS 2008 Pro to a TFS 2010 Beta 2 server? Resolution Here's how I solved this problem: installed VS 2008 Team Explorer as above. re-install VS 2008 Service Pack 1 when adding a TFS server to Team Explorer, you MUST specify the URL as such: http://[tfsserver]:[port]/[vdir]/[projectCollection] in my case above, it was http://serverX:8080/tfs/AppDev-TestProject you cannot simply add the TFS server name and have VS look for all Project Collections on the server. TFS 2010 has a new URL (by default) and VS 2008 doesn't recognize how to gather that list.

• Elmah sends error mail on development server, but not on production

  Hi, I am trying to set up Elmah so that it sends me an e-mail when a new error occurs. This works fine on my development server, but on the production server no e-mail is sent. The exception is logged on the production server, it's just the e-mail that does not get sent. • My jquery cookies are not resetting, even though am using the correct code.

  My problem is that I am trying to reset some form cookies so when someone has completed their form, they are reset so it is possible for someone else to complete the form. Simple and obvious. But However many different lines of code I put in, the cookies just do not seem to be disappearing. • Set up Gitosis, but can't clone

  I've set up Gitosis on a remote Ubuntu box which I will refer to as linuxserver as my host in the following commands. I'm also connecting from a Windows box using Cygwin. I followed the instructions according to: http://scie.nti.st/2007/11/14/hosting-git-repositories-the-easy-and-secure-way I had no problems up until I needed to clone the gitosis-admin repository to my local machine git clone git@linuxserver:gitosis-admin.git When I do this, the command executes, but hangs there displaying nothing until I ctrl-c to get back to a command prompt. No messages are displayed at all. I'm pretty sure I have my ssh keys set up properly, because logging in using "ssh linuxserver" into my regular account works perfectly without asking for a password. Edit: Over the weekend I set up a near identical Ubuntu box at home, and had no problem setting up Gitosis. The only difference was that I was connecting from OSX instead of Cygwin. Edit: I've also discovered that when using the Bash Shell provided with "Git Extensions", I have no problems, so the issue definitely seems to be some kind of Cygwin conflict. Edit: Just an update, but about a month after posting this question, I switched to Mercurial, and found that I prefer it much more than git. Thanks for the suggestions, but I don't plan on going back to git to try any of them out.

The connection string works cause it is used to read the database to get the profile information, I just removed it due to it containing password/login info for the db. player is the class of properties that contains player information and ds is the dataset, but I would like to update the database itself online... • Hudson fails to use unix user/group to do authentication

  I'm trying to use unix user/group database as security realm of hudson. The linux server is using NIS for user management. My account could login the hudson server via ssh. And the hudson server is running by user 'hudson' that is also a member of group 'shadow', so hudson could read /etc/shadow. And I tested the configuration using 'test' button, hudson tells me it works well. But I can't use my unix account and password to login the hudson sever. • SQL 2005 Express Edition - Install new instance

  Looking for a way to programatically, or otherwise, add a new instance of SQL 2005 Express Edition to a system that already has an instance installed. Traditionally, you run Micrsoft's installer like I am in the command line below and it does the trick. Executing the command in my installer is not the issue, it's more a matter of dragging around the 40 MBs of MS-SQL installer that I don't need if they have SQL Express already installed. This is what my installer currently executes: SQLEXPR32.EXE /qb ADDLOCAL=ALL INSTANCENAME=<instancename> SECURITYMODE=SQL SAPWD=<password> SQLAUTOSTART=1 DISABLENETWORKPROTOCOLS=0 I don't need assistance with launching this command, rather the appropriate way to add a new instance of SQL 2005 Express without actually running the full installer again. I'd go into great detail about why I want to do this but I'd simply bore everyone. Suffice to say, having this ability to create a new instance without the time it takes to reinstall SQL Express etc. would greatly assist me for the deployment of my application and it's installer. If makes any difference to anyone, I'm using a combination of NSIS and Advanced Installer for this installation project.

• Android - Dealing with a Dialog on Screen Orientation change

  I am overriding the onCreateDialog and onPrepareDialog methods or the Dialog class. I have followed the example from Reto Meier's Professional Android Application Development book, Chapter 5 to pull some XML data and then use a dialog to display the info. The error still occurs even when I tell my activity to ignore screen orientation in the manifest. So I presume something has been left out of the example in the book do I need to override another method to save my variables in or something?

  I want to do something like this in PostgreSQL. Currently that is not possible, because to call this function I need to specify all fields. TLDR; Is there a simple way to create a wrapper procedure for INSERT in PL/pgSQL where I can specify which fields I want to insert?

• ASP.NET application using old connection string.

  I am trying to publish a website using ASP.NET MVC3 EF and CODEFIRST with a SQL Server 2008 backend. On my local machine I was using a sql express db for development, but now that I am pushing live, I want to use my hosted production database. The problem is that when I try to run the application, it is still using my local db connection string. I have completely removed the old connection string from my web.config file and am using the <clear /> tag before creating the new connection string. I have also cleaned the solution and rebuilt, but somehow it is still connecting to the old db. What am I missing? This is the new connection string: <connectionStrings> <clear /> <add name="CellularAutomataDBContext" connectionString=" Server=XXX; Database=CellularAutomata; User ID=XXX; Password=XXX; Trusted_Connection=False" providerName="System.Data.SqlClient" /> </connectionStrings>

• silverlight security with WCF service, Forms Authentication and Custom Form Ticket

  I have a silverlight application with login on the silverlight page. It uses Forms Authentication with WCF authentication service and customer Membership Provider. Something like : http://blogs.msdn.com/phaniraj/archive/2009/09/10/using-the-ado-net-data-services-silverlight-client-library-in-x-domain-and-out-of-browser-scenarios-ii-forms-authentication.aspx So, SL page login page calls the WCF service authentication service, it validates using DB - brings back username and password. Now, in each subsequent calls (in Global.asax in Authenticate_Request, I get HttpContext.User.IsAuthenticated and HttpContext.User.UserName). I have all this working properly. But, I just don't want the username, but more information surrounding the user, like UserId, UserAddress, UserAssociateCustomer etc. I tried couple of different approaches. 1) Use HttpContext.Cache as a dictionary to save the item and get it off based on httpcontext.user.name, problem is cache can be erased if there memory is being used heavily. 2) Tried CustomFormsAuth Ticket, when forms authentication writes a ticket, I intercept CreatingCookie method and write additional info in formauthentication ticket, so that I can read it in subsequent requests, I am having problems with this approach, I don't find the ticket in subsequent requests. I read about how we should use REsponse.Redirect, but where do I redirect user from WCF call. How do you guys implement the above scenario? Any best practices.? Any issues you see with going on HTTPS? All examples (or most of them) just explains simple forms authentication with "I am logged in message".. Any suggestions ?

• m2crypto aes-256-cbc not working against encoded openssl files.

Now, how do I do the same in m2crypto. Documentation is lacking this. I looked at the snv test cases, still nothing there. I found one sample, http://passingcuriosity.com/2009/aes-encryption-in-python-with-m2crypto/ (changed to aes_256_cbc), and it will encrypted/descrypt it's own strings, but it cannot decrypt anything made with openssl, and anything it encrypts isn't decryptable from openssl. I need to be able enc/dec with aes-256-cbc as have many files already encrypted with this and we have many other systems in place that also handle the aes-256-cbc output just fine. We use password phrases only, with no IV. So setting the IV to \0 * 16 makes sense, but I'm not sure if this is also part of the problem. Anyone have any working samples of doing AES 256 that is compatible with m2crypto? I will also be trying some additional libraries and seeing if they work any better.

• Django sphinx works only after app restart.

And search works again but again only for short time (or very limiter number of queries).   Hello, I've come upon a rather interesting thing, which I can't seem to figure out myself. Everytime when executing a SQL statement which contains a '... AND ...' the result is empty. '<br>'); $dbh = new PDO($dsn, $user, $password); $sql = 'SELECT * FROM user WHERE email = :email AND wachtwoord= :wachtwoord'; $stmt = $dbh->prepare($sql); $stmt->bindParam(:email,$email,PDO::PARAM_STR); $stmt->bindParam(:wachtwoord,$wachtwoord,PDO::PARAM_STR); $stmt->execute(); while($row = $stmt->fetchObject()) { echo($row-email . ',' . $row-wachtwoord); $user[] = array( 'email' = $row-email, 'wachtwoord' = $row-wachtwoord ); } The first echo displays the correct values, however the line with echo($row->email . ',' . $row->wachtwoord); is never reached. A few things I want to add: 1) I am connected to the database since other queries work, only the ones where I add an 'AND' after my 'WHERE's fail. 2) Working with the while works perfectly with queries that do not contain '... AND ...' 3) Error reporting is on, PDO gives no exceptions on my query (or anything else) 4) Executing the query directly on the database does give what I want: SELECT * FROM user WHERE email = '[email protected]' AND wachtwoord = 'jurgen' I can stare at it all day long again (which I already did once, but I managed to work around the 'AND'), but maybe one of you can give me a helping hand.
