    I suspected there was some hidden magic somewhere that stopped what looks like actual method calls all over the place in T4MVC. Then I had a view fail to compile, and the stackTrace went into my actual method. There they can click on apply again, this time being logged in. And yes I realize one is Ajax.ActionLink while the other is Html.ActionLink I did try them both with the T4MVC version.

  • Why is the form action attribute empty on production server?

    After deploying a ASP.NET WebForms application to a production server some of the ajax calls has stopped working for me. After some debugging I found out that the following statement (in the internal client-method WebForm_DoCallback) was causing the problem: xmlRequest.open("POST", action, true); The problem seemed to be that the action-variable was empty so after checking the rendered html I found out that the form-tag rendered on the production server looks like: <form method="post" action="" id="Form1"> However, on my developer machine I get the following: <form method="post" action="default.aspx" id="Form1"> So, why would the action-attibute render on my dev.machine but not on the production server? This seems to be the case only for one specific web form, when I look on other pages the action-attribute renders correctly. Any suggestions or ideas would be helpful!

  • RESTful design, how to name pages outside CRUD et al?

    Hi all, I'm working on a site that has quite a few pages that fall outside my limited understanding of RESTful design, which is essentially: Create, Read, Update, Delete, Show, List Here's the question: what is a good system for labeling actions/routes when a page doesn't neatly fall into CRUD/show/list? Some of my pages have info about multiple tables at once. I am building a site that gives some customers a 'home base' after they log on. It does NOT give them any information about themselves so it shouldn't be, for example, /customers/show/1. It does have information about companies, but there are other pages on the site that do that differently. What do you do when you have these situations? This 'home-base' is shown to customers and it mainly has info about companies (but not uniquely so). Second case: I have a table called 'Matchings' in between customers and companies. These matchings are accessed in completely different ways on different parts of the site (different layouts, different CSS sheets, different types of users accessing them, etc. They can't ALL be matchings/show. What's the best way to label the others? Thanks very much. =)

    Hey, I'm very new to linq and lamba expressions. I'm trying to walk a collection, and when I find an item that meets some criteria I'd like to add that to another separate collection. My linq to walk the collection looks like this (this works fine): From i as MyCustomItem In MyCustomItemCollection Where i.Type = "SomeType" Select i I need each of the select items to then be added to a ListItemCollection, I know I can assign that linq query to a variable, and then do a for each loop adding a new ListItem to the collection, but I'm trying o find a way to add each item to the new ListItemcollection while walking, not a second loop.   • Output Flash Trace to Firebug Console

    Hello, I am trying to output my Flash application's trace to the firebug console. After some Goggling I have found that other are doing something like this: public static function debug(text: Dynamic):Void { trace(text); ExternalInterface.call("console.log", text.toString()); } My Firebug console never outputs anything and always just shows "Please Reload Page to enable..." So, of coarse, I have reloaded the page and it does not seem to change anything. I have the correct Object imported into the calling class. I am running FireBug 1.4.2.     in my project there's a service that listens for changes in the connectivity. When wifi is switched off to on then it gets called. The problem it's that i'm using a fragment and inside a fragment there's a button with the setonclicklistener(); and onclick(); SOMETIMES when i touch the button then the service receives an intent that the connectivity has changed (the method gets called without any reason...).     There is a mouseUpEvent listener attached to the stage, while dragging the movieClip the mouseUpEvent doesnot trigger the handler somehow the mouseUp gets lost. While the item is being dragged and the mouse is moved away from the movieClip i.e somewhere not on the item but on the stage the mouseUp is detected. Any ideas!!

    I'm in the middle of developing an e-commerce site that is using Paypal as it's payment gateway. All I want to do is run some code before the user heads off to Paypal to pay for their order, but I have no idea how to do it. The user should click a submit button, changes are made (in this case, the status of the order), and then the user is redirected to the payment gateway. Eg: [AcceptVerbs(HttpVerbs.Post)] public ActionResult GoToPaypal(FormCollection collection) { //change order status //send user to paypal where they pay for their order } So my question is how do you do application stuff and then redirect to paypal's payment gateway? Example HTML and C# would be lovely :)

    I did this: ALTER TABLE `db`.`my_table` ADD CONSTRAINT FOREIGN KEY (`my_second_table_id`) REFERENCES `my_second_table` (`id`); I should have done this: ALTER TABLE `db`.`my_table` ADD CONSTRAINT FOREIGN KEY (`my_second_table_id`) REFERENCES `my_second_table` (`id`) ON DELETE SET NULL; Is it possible to ALTER this, or do I have to drop the constraint and add again?

    Hi Everyone, I am slowly getting the hang of Rails and thanks to a few people I now have a basic grasp of the database relations and associations etc. You can see my previous questions here: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2714621/rails-database-relationships I have setup my applications models with all of the necessary has_one and has_many :through etc. but when I go to add a kase and choose from a company from the drop down list - it doesnt seem to be assigning the company ID to the kase. Exists any configuration for this??   • Modifying a gedit syntax highlighting file

    I am trying to change a highlighting file from Gedit. I have modified the file /usr/share/gtksourceview-3.0/language-specs/fortran.lang because I want to change the cases in which the editor takes a statement as a comment. The problem I have is that when I choose the new highlighting scheme nothing highlights, it just remains as plain text. The file fortran.lang was opened with su permissions and I just copy-pasted everything into a new Gedit file and later saved it as fortran_enhanced.lang in the same folder. I have read this question [ Custom gedit Syntax Highlighting for Dummies? ] and I tried to make the new fortran_enhanced.lang file readable with $ cd /usr/share/gtksourceview-3.0/language-specs $ sudo chmod 0644 fortran_enhanced.lang but it doesn't seem that made some difference. I have to say that I have never done a thing like this before and I don't even understand most of the language file, so I am open to every criticism, as I have been guided purely by intuition.     I want to create a JSON object. I have tried the following myString=new JSONObject().put("JSON", sampleClass).toString(); but mystring gives me {"SampleClass@170f98"}. I also tried the following XStream xsStream=new XStream(new JsonHierarchicalStreamDriver()); SampleClass sampleClass=new SampleClass(userset.getId(),userset.getUsername()); myString=xsStream.toXML(sampleClass); It works but when i use getJSON in javascript to get myString it does not work.

  • Action script 3 bitmap glitch, alpha fade in out

    I have actually solved this problem but it was a weird one so I will post it and my solution. I had a movie clip with several children each of which had it's own alpha settings. It also had a bitmap child object with a masked movie clip sitting on top of it. I was fading in and out the parent movie clip and was getting some odd results all of the alpha settings of the children were being removed and the bitmap was glitching and showing the contents of the masked object that was above it. The problem was that my alpha value for fully opaque was 100 (as in AS2) not 1 (as per AS3). It took me ages to work this out so hopefully this helps someone else.
