I can generally be easily motivated if I'm working on design, but that seems to be about 5% of my actual work hours.     One way of thinking about this is: if we care about the Design of the code then Easymock is the better choice as it gives feedback to you by its concept of expectations If we care about the maintainability of tests( easier to read,write and having less brittle tests which are not affected much by change), then Mockito seems a better choice. My question is: - If you have used Easymock in large scale projects, do you find that your tests are harder to maintain? - What are the limitations of Mockito( other than endo testing)

  • CompareValidator issue on Firefox

    Hi, I need to validate a date in a web forms application. For this I use a CompareValidator with Operator="DataTypeCheck" Type="Date" The problem is that this Validator doesn't work properly on Firefox with 2 digit years. ( javascript error: m[2] is undefined) With a 4 digits year it's working properly.     How do I show the username of the person logged in within a Spark View? The default MVC view engine had a Page object that you could get the info from. How would I do that in spark? I know that I could put the info into the viewdata dictionary, which is probably the best, but I don't want to have to write ViewData["User"] = myUser; before I return from EVERY action method. I'd like some feedback

  • Is it possible to run locally JRuby on Google App Engine without restarting server on every change?

    Unfortunately, GAE requires restart of the server on each code change. Is it possible to prevent it and have immediate feedback after code save? Or, can I import Google App Engine's API into my ruby code and run it on Sinatra server? Tried this but it fails on "import com.google.appengine.api" (it doesn't know what 'com' is). For Sinatra, I use "Rerun" ( http://github.com/alexch/rerun ) which restarts server immediately after a change with minimum wait. Thanks.

  • Ruby BigDecimal sanity check (floating point newb)

    Hello, Hoping to get some feedback from someone more experienced here. I haven't dealt with the dreaded floating-point calculation before... Is my understanding correct that with Ruby BigDecimal types (even with varying precision and scale lengths) should calculate accurately or should I anticipate floating point shenanigans? All my values within a Rails application are BigDecimal type and I'm seeing some errors (they do have different decimal lengths), hoping it's just my methods and not my object types... Thanks!
