  Hi, I have three datagrids inside VBox container. Since I don't want scrollbar in my flex widget i am increasing the height of SWF through javascript, which increases with each addition of row in my datagrid. My query is how can I get the exact height of my VBox which is the parent element of datagrid. I am not able to get the height of VBox. I have tried to use measuredHeight,height with no success. Could anybody please suggest me the way out for the same. Thanks in advance!!!

  A child view had joined the main view. I don't want it to be so. Look at the screenshot. But I want that the dialog has appeared and it disappeared, and the view of the dialog didn't join itself to main view. • Prevent content with child nodes from being deleted in umbraco

  I would like to prevent content nodes from being trashed if they have any children. I setup an event handler like so: public class KeepSafeEvents : ApplicationBase { public KeepSafeEvents() { Document.BeforeMoveToTrash += new Document.MoveToTrashEventHandler(Document_BeforeMoveToTrash); } void Document_BeforeMoveToTrash(Document sender, umbraco.cms.businesslogic.MoveToTrashEventArgs e) { if (sender.HasChildren) { e.Cancel = true; } } } However, this doesn't seem to work. I assume it is because the delete process moves the child nodes to trash first before dealing with the parent node (which then has no children). Is there another possible solution? Or am I making a simple mistake above?

  I want to exit from a child process when the execution of os.system(comm) will be executed. My code is: pid = os.fork() if pid == 0: #instruction else: comm = "python file.py" os.system(comm) os.exit(error) Now, my file file.py contains a loop, and I can get out from it only if a condition is satisfied. But, even when the condition is not satisfied, the program exits from the loop and displays the message error.   I have DHTML content inside a fieldset. This includes plain html, nested objects (even other fieldsets), and value change of input, select, and textarea objects. I'd like to change the border of the fieldset if the contents have been changed. The following works: $('fieldset[name=qsfs127]').children('input').change(function(){ $(this).parent('fieldset').css({border:'1px solid red'}); }) This handles the input; I can extend it to select and textarea. Questions: How can I do the same for html changes? Can all of this change-tracking be done by comparing current html() to stored one? If yes for (2), will this handle cases of "undo"?   Hi Guys, I have the fllowing requirement, I have a model called Task to display user tasks 1 . Link to add a new task (in the tasks index page) 2 . when a user click the link, 'tasks/new' action will open up inside a popup 3 . when the user save the new task, I want to close 'new task' popup and refresh the parent page 'tasks/index' so that new task will display I guess, i will have to execute a page reload java script at the end of 'tasks/create' action.   I implement a class hierarchy using STI pattern class A scope :aaa, where([someField]:[someValue]) end class B < A end The problem is that when I try to call something like: B.limit(5).aaa => SELECT "[table]".* FROM "[table]" WHERE "[table]"."type" IN ('A') AND ([someField] = [someValue]) LIMIT 5 So I am getting 5 objects of type A, which satisfies scope :aaa But I need to do the same with rows where type = "B" Is there any way to use scopes from parent, without redifinning it in childs in STI pattern? Thanks in advance EDITED I just discussed it with my frind and he showed me one important thing. A in not the root class of STI. IN fact whole hierarchy looks like class O < ActiveRecord::Base end class A < O scope ..... ..... end class B < A end maybe the reason is in hierarchy itself?...

So each comment may have a parent comment etc. Given table "Comments": CommentId - int - identity autoincrement PostId - int ParentId - int Comment - string Is there a way to get a list of comments for a given article ordered by CreateDate and ParentId? Or maybe there is a better table design you may suggest. What is the best design when inserting Post comments like this? I'm using Entity framework. thanks

• Circular Reference for Parent Link on Work Item cannot be resolved by Retry

  I receive the following error; OH-TFS-Connector-0051: Operation failed getCollectionMetaData. Server Error : TF201063: Adding a Parent link to work item 1737 would result in a circular relationship. To create this link, evaluate the existing links, and remove one of the other links in the cycle. I have completely flattened out the Work Items in the source project. When retrying the migration the timestamp is modified on the pending errors however the issues are not resolved. These Work Items now have no parents or children in the source project. So I'm wondering if the retry list is no longer valid but there doesn't appear to be a away to have it update? I can run the whole migration again, however it takes 5-7 hours to just do the work items so it would be great if there is a quick fix.

• IE sending through multiple unrequested requests for parent URL

  We have a rather large/complex web site (so it's not easy to extract portions of it). The problem we're having is that IE6/7/8 (but 6 is the worst) are sending through multiple requests for the parent of a URL (which fails, a different point). As an example, if you visited (dummy domain name obviously): http://www.example.com/view/event/123/456/78 We'd get 8-20 requests for: http://www.example.com/view/event/123/456/ appear in the Apache log. We've tried: Disabling all plugins (including toolbars, Flash, etc) Disabling scripting (e.g. Javascript) And it still sends through at least one erroneous request. We've viewed the requests through ieHttpHeaders so the browser is aware of them (i.e. it's not prefetching by the network's proxy). Any ideas? What can else could cause this?

• Base form controls not visible in child form

  Hello I'm using C#.Net and have a base form that is inherited by several forms. Until yesterday, when the child (derived) form was opened in the designer the base forms controls would be displayed and shown as locked. Now, however the form is simply blank. None of the base forms controls are visible in the designer. Everything compiles, builds and runs OK. Has anyone else seen this? I've tried placing a call to the base forms InitializeComponent method in the derived forms OnLoad method but to no avail.

• jQuery: I need something like ':visible' that works even if the parent is display=none

  I have a list where elements are hidden for multiple reasons, each corresponding to a css class i.e: <style> .filteredOut { display: none; } .somethingElse { display : none; } ... </style> I want to apply alternating css classes via .filter(':even').addClass('even') but only to classes that are visible. The problem is that the parent is hidden when this happens so .filter(':visible') returns 0 elements. I need something like .filter(':visibileEventIfParentIsNot') Further more, I'd rather not have to call a function with this in it every time I call a function that changes what's visible in a list. This may be a pipe dream, but is there a way to do this ala live() or something similar? I'm open to off the wall ideas.

• Parent Thread exiting before Child Threads [python]

  I'm using Python in a webapp (CGI for testing, FastCGI for production) that needs to send an occasional email (when a user registers or something else important happens). Since communicating with an SMTP server takes a long time, I'd like to spawn a thread for the mail function so that the rest of the app can finish up the request without waiting for the email to finish sending. I tried using thread.start_new(func, (args)), but the Parent return's and exits before the sending is complete, thereby killing the sending process before it does anything useful. Is there anyway to keep the process alive long enough for the child process to finish?

  I have the following int[] in my database: '{0}' '{0,0}' '{0,0,0}' '{0,0,0,0}' This column is used to sort my tree data. Now when a parent updates it's order the children should also update. For example if the second record updates it's order to 1 it should result in the following. '{0}' '{0,1}' '{0,1,0}' '{0,1,0,0}' So I was wondering what the query would be to update record 3 and 4. • jQuery finding 'nth-child' value

  Hi, I have a ul set up as navigation, which I'll be animating on hover. As all the nav items are different widths, I'll be storing their default widths in an Array, so that on hover out, these widths can be passed back in to the animate method. What I need is a way to find what 'nth-child' the element is in order to retrieve the correct width from the array. Something like: var count = $(this).count(); //obviously this isn't right! So that then I can do: $(this).animate({'width':array(count)}, 400); Any suggestions would help me a lot - and if there's a better way to do this kind of thing I'd gladly accept pointers!
