  • How to force a line break after each image in Safari Reader?

    - by futlib
I was unable to activate Safari Reader in a local HTML file, so I cannot give you a running example but only describe my problem: The markup of my blog posts is basically this: <div class="post"> <div class="post-header">Hello, World</div> <div class="post-body"> <p>Look at this picture:</p> <p><img src="http://37prime.com/news/wp-content/uploads/2008/03/safari_icon.png"/></p> <p>Isn't that a nice picture?</p> </div> </div> This looks as expected in all browsers, including Safari. In Safari Reader however, the third paragraph "Isn't that a nice picture?" is floating around the image, instead of being on a paragraph of it's own. Has anybody experienced a similar problem?

  • Question about Paperclip for Rails

    - by sev
I'm using Papeclip(2.3.1.1) with Rails(2.3.5). In my view I write so: <%= link_to image_tag(p.attachment.url(:small)), p.attachment.url(:original) %, and it becomes into href="/system/attachments/1/original/1.JPG?1270134617 (for a tag) src="/system/attachments/1/small/1.JPG?1270134617" (for img tag). And when I click on the picture, my browser (Firefox) offers me to save or open picture and I want to just open picture in browser without any dialogs. I think it's because link contains ?1270134617 after file's name. How can I fix it?

  • SQL Not Exists in this Query - is it possible

    - by jason barry
This is my script - it simply looks for the image file associated to a person record. Now the error will display if there is NO .jpg evident when the query runs. Msg 4860, Level 16, State 1, Line 1 Cannot bulk load. The file "C:\Dev\ClientServices\Defence\RAN\Shore\Config\Photos\002054.2009469432270600.001.jpg" does not exist. Is there a way to write this query to 'IF not exists then set id_number = '002054.2009469432270427.001' - so it wil always display this photo for any records without a picture. ALTER procedure [dbo].[as_ngn_sp_REP_PH108_photo] (@PMKEYS nvarchar(50)) AS ---exec [as_ngn_sp_REP_PH108_photo] '8550733' SET NOCOUNT ON DECLARE @PATH AS NVARCHAR(255) DECLARE @ID_NUMBER NVARCHAR(27) DECLARE @SQL AS NVARCHAR(MAX) EXEC DB_GET_DB_SETTING'STAFF PICTURE FILE LOCATION', 0, @PATH OUTPUT IF RIGHT(@PATH,1) <> '\' SET @PATH = @PATH + '\' SELECT @ID_NUMBER = ID_NUMBER FROM aView_person WHERE EXTRA_CODE_1 = @PMKEYS SET @PATH = @PATH + @ID_NUMBER + '.jpg' SET @SQL = 'SELECT ''Picture1'' [Picture], BulkColumn FROM OPENROWSET(Bulk ''' + REPLACE(@PATH,'''','''''') + ''', SINGLE_BLOB) AS RAN' EXEC SP_EXECUTESQL @SQL

  • Jquery prettyPhoto and star conflict....DOM not loading?

    - by Dustin
I'm working on an online ordering system for photography clients: Here. (Forgive the requirement of having to sign in). After signing in, the user is able to rate pictures using the stars listed below each picture, then subsequently view 3 star pics, or 4 star pics, etc. However, when the user clicks on an image, a lightbox expands (prettyPhoto namely) which contains the picture as well as the stars listed below. I want users to be able to star a picture within the lightbox, but the javascript is not being passed after the prettyPhoto lightbox is initialized. Consequently, they can't rate pictures within the lightbox. I've heard of something similar to this, but have no idea about how to go about tackling the problem. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

  • Strange margin-behaviour with Sifr spans in link (screens)

    - by knalstaaf
I'm making a menu and it's supposed to look like picture nr 1 on this link. However, at this moment, it looks like picture nr 2. There's no logic in this behaviour, since all three elements have the same css-attributes. Moreover, let's change the word "Reiki" to "Psychotherapie" and see what happens... (picture nr 3) For some reason the word "Reiki" ignores certain attributes. This is not a problem when Sifr is turned off. I guess I'll need some extra CSS to solve this (messing with paddings, heights or margins on that specific element doesn't give any result. It just won't budge). Unless someone knows a more elegant solution?

  • how to create a auto-incremented attribute in xcode managed object model

    - by Mausimo
Hey, what i want to do is to make a int that will be the ID of the entity and auto increment itself whenever a new entity is added (just like a SQL identity property). Is this possible? i tried using indexed (checked on attribute) however there is no description to what indexed even does. EDIT: I am adding annotations to a map, when you click the pin the annotationview with a chevron shows up. Now when you click this button i would like to load an associated picture. However the only way i know how to link the picture to this button is to give the picture a unique id, and then set the button.tag to this id and then load based on the button.tag.

  • Flex: Load images and swf's dynamically

    - by Lizzan
I'm building a slide-show like application in Flex and I'm trying to load images dynamically. The images are in a folder outside the application folder. This is the folder structure: /Bildvisare-debug/ Bildvisare.html Bildvisare.swf /Images/ 01_02_01_01_B.jpg 01_02_01_01_T.JPG I'm reading the image names from an XML file and get them with a path of ../Images/01_03_01_01_B.jpg. In my mxml-file I've got an SWFLoader named picture and I try to load the images with the following code: this.picture.source = images[currentImg]; //E.g. ../Images/01_03_01_01_B.jpg this.picture.load(); The problem is that the images never show up, I only get the icon for a missing image. Can anyone help?

  • Best way to get photoshop to optimise 35 related pictures for fast transmission

    - by thenerd
I have 35 pictures taken from a stationary camera aimed at a lightbox in which an object is placed, rotated at 10 degrees in each picture. If I cycle through the pictures quickly, the image looks like it is rotating. If I wished to 'rotate' the object in a browser but wanted to transmit as little data as possible for this, I thought it might be a good idea to split the picture into 36 pictures, where 1 picture is any background the images have in common, and 35 pictures minus the background, just showing the things that have changed. Do you think this approach will work? Is there a better route? How would I achieve this in photoshop?

  • Should repeated use of the camera crash an app?

    - by Sam
I have an app that builds a slideshow from user images. They can grab from their library or take a picture. I have found that repeated use of grabbing an image from the library is fine. But repeated use of taking a picture causes erratic behavior. I have been getting crashes but mostly what happens seems to be a reloading of the view after "didFinishPickingMediaWithInfo", which messes things up. I have no leaks and it seems to be releasing properly after each picture is taken. I am resizing the image and saving it in a data base. Is anyone else running into this situation? Was the camera not designed to be called this often?

  • SQL Server Reporting Services using of pictures with dynamic links

    - by YvesR
I have setup a SSRS 2008 and building reports. So far so good. Now there is a picture control in SSRS where you can set the picture as external link reference. There you can choose to use a link. When I use a weblink (http://anyurl/download_picture.aspx?id=123) it dont' work for me. Calling the url in the web browser (all tested IE, Safari, Chrome, FF) the pictures is delivered, Header is ok, content type, too. Does it work in general in SSRS ? Or do I have to copy the picture to a temp folder and link the url like http://anyurl/mypicture.jpg.

  • JPA - insert and retrieve clob and blob types

    - by pachunoori.vinay.kumar(at)oracle.com
This article describes about the JPA feature for handling clob and blob data types. You will learn the following in this article. @Lob annotation Client code to insert and retrieve the clob/blob types End to End ADFaces application to retrieve the image from database table and display it in web page. Use Case Description Persisting and reading the image from database using JPA clob/blob type. @Lob annotation By default, TopLink JPA assumes that all persistent data can be represented as typical database data types. Use the @Lob annotation with a basic mapping to specify that a persistent property or field should be persisted as a large object to a database-supported large object type. A Lob may be either a binary or character type. TopLink JPA infers the Lob type from the type of the persistent field or property. For string and character-based types, the default is Clob. In all other cases, the default is Blob. Example Below code shows how to use this annotation to specify that persistent field picture should be persisted as a Blob. public class Person implements Serializable {    @Id    @Column(nullable = false, length = 20)    private String name;    @Column(nullable = false)    @Lob    private byte[] picture;    @Column(nullable = false, length = 20) } Client code to insert and retrieve the clob/blob types Reading a image file and inserting to Database table Below client code will read the image from a file and persist to Person table in database.                       Person p=new Person();                      p.setName("Tom");                      p.setSex("male");                      p.setPicture(writtingImage("Image location"));// - c:\images\test.jpg                       sessionEJB.persistPerson(p); //Retrieving the image from Database table and writing to a file                       List<Person> plist=sessionEJB.getPersonFindAll();//                      Person person=(Person)plist.get(0);//get a person object                      retrieveImage(person.getPicture());   //get picture retrieved from Table //Private method to create byte[] from image file  private static byte[] writtingImage(String fileLocation) {      System.out.println("file lication is"+fileLocation);     IOManager manager=new IOManager();        try {           return manager.getBytesFromFile(fileLocation);                    } catch (IOException e) {        }        return null;    } //Private method to read byte[] from database and write to a image file    private static void retrieveImage(byte[] b) {    IOManager manager=new IOManager();        try {            manager.putBytesInFile("c:\\webtest.jpg",b);        } catch (IOException e) {        }    } End to End ADFaces application to retrieve the image from database table and display it in web page. Please find the application in this link. Following are the j2ee components used in the sample application. ADFFaces(jspx page) HttpServlet Class - Will make a call to EJB and retrieve the person object from person table.Read the byte[] and write to response using Outputstream. SessionEJBBean - This is a session facade to make a local call to JPA entities JPA Entity(Person.java) - Person java class with setter and getter method annotated with @Lob representing the clob/blob types for picture field.

  • Implementing Silverlight Coverflow with ADO.NET/WCF Data Services in SharePoint 2010

    - by Sahil Malik
Ad:: SharePoint 2007 Training in .NET 3.5 technologies (more information). WOOHOO!! My next video is online. In this video, I show how you can implement Silverlight Coverflow like UI using the Telerik silverlight toolset. In this demo, I talk to a picture library running in SharePoint 2010, and use ADO.NET Data Services to load up the various images loaded in the picture library. I then use the Telerik Silverlight toolset  integrated with the ADO.NET Data Services/WCF Data Services, and show a fancy coverflow like UI. As always, very few slides, completely hands-on, all code written in front of your eyes! Enjoy – the video.   And yes, there are a couple of more exciting videos coming! Stay tuned! • Recommendation for Document Management Solution

    - by BillN
We've just been informed by our software vendor that the custom document management system they'd written is no longer in development, and will not be supported in the future. So we are looking at new document management systems. Requirements: Multiple input vectors, we receive documents via e-mail, fax, scanning, and from the originating application Ability to Redact or obscure data. Customers may fax an order with CC data, we want to attach the image of the order form with the order record, but the CC data needs to be protected. Same with Tax IDs. Certain users should be able to see the redacted data, but access should be logged. Version control on documents. We'd like Product Development and Marketing to be able to track various versions of documents like Packaging Designs, but ensure that users have the latest approved version. AD integration, my users don't need another password. Ability to integrate to other apps. Our current system, offers function keys in the order-entry system, that will spawn the viewer application, and open the correct document. Mass import facility, we have a half a terabyte of existing documents in the old system that we would like to import. Retention Policy. I'd like a way to have the system comply with the corporate retention policy, so that when a document of a certain type reaches a certain age, it gets deleted, or atleast marked for manual deletion. We are a Windows Server and HP-UX shop. Does anybody have any experience with Document Management systems that they would like to share? Thanks.

  • Live Debugging

    - by Daniel Moth
Based on my classification of diagnostics, you should know what live debugging is NOT about - at least according to me :-) and in this post I'll share how I think of live debugging. These are the (outer) steps to live debugging Get the debugger in the picture. Control program execution. Inspect state. Iterate between 2 and 3 as necessary. Stop debugging (and potentially start new iteration going back to step 1). Step 1 has two options: start with the debugger attached, or execute your binary separately and attach the debugger later. You might say there is a 3rd option, where the app notifies you that there is an issue, referred to as JIT debugging. However, that is just a variation of the attach because that is when you start the debugging session: when you attach. I'll be covering in future posts how this step works in Visual Studio. Step 2 is about pausing (or breaking) your app so that it makes no progress and remains "frozen". A sub-variation is to pause only parts of its execution, or in other words to freeze individual threads. I'll be covering in future posts the various ways you can perform this step in Visual Studio. Step 3, is about seeing what the state of your program is when you have paused it. Typically it involves comparing the state you are finding, with a mental picture of what you thought the state would be. Or simply checking invariants about the intended state of the app, with the actual state of the app. I'll be covering in future posts the various ways you can perform this step in Visual Studio. Step 4 is necessary if you need to inspect more state - rinse and repeat. Self-explanatory, and will be covered as part of steps 2 & 3. Step 5 is the most straightforward, with 3 options: Detach the debugger; terminate your binary though the normal way that it terminates (e.g. close the main window); and, terminate the debugging session through your debugger with a result that it terminates the execution of your program too. In a future post I'll cover the ways you can detach or terminate the debugger in Visual Studio. I found an old picture I used to use to map the steps above on Visual Studio 2010. It is basically the Debug menu with colored rectangles around each menu mapping the menu to one of the first 3 steps (step 5 was merged with step 1 for that slide). Here it is in case it helps: Stay tuned for more... Comments about this post by Daniel Moth welcome at the original blog.
