• Does exist an MKV meta tag / metadata editor?

  Hi, I'm looking for an MKV meta tag editor, I'm using PLEX Media Server and PLEX Media Center on my iMac to see movies. PLEX is great because it automatically find and name all my movie library with year, director, gender, original title, description, movie poter art, etc. Unfortunately, it saves all the data only on a app DB file without edit any tag on the MKV files. A 20% of the movies needs to be fixed or PLEX needs help to find exactly the movie name, so if I need to move all my library elsewere, I need to do all the tagging work again. • Lightning fast forum based around metadata / tags? [closed]

  I wonder if anything like this exists. I'd like to add a forum to my site, but instead of the usual forum/subforum/sub-subforum structure, I'd like to use a metadata/tag approach where everything exists as a single directory, and where there's a search field at the top which instantly (<0.5 sec) filters the threads to a particular keyword or keywords. Also, as the admin, I would be able to add highly visible buttons at the top, which can be clicked on for the main categories I choose for the forum (nevertheless, users can also add tags to their own threads outside of these default main tags I supply if they wish). This approach, if done properly, is more powerful, efficient, maintenance free, scalable and friendly than a standard forum, so I was hoping someone had the same idea and made something out of it. It couldn't be that hard. I'd want the speed to be up to (or near) the standard of this: http://forum.dlang.org/ Other forums (e.g.: phpBB, shudder) are orders of magnitude worse than that in terms of latency (posting or browsing), and I think that is wrong, even in principle ;)

• Name typing in the "TO" line for last name recognition

  I have outlook 2010 on a Windows 7 laptop. When I go to send an email at the "TO" line and I start typing the name, if I start to enter the last name it will not recognize anyone in my contacts and will not auto-populate a list of all the names that fit the description of what I have typed so far. But if I start typing the first name first it will start this auto-choice feature based on what I have typed so far. The company I work for has 20k + employees and If I want to email someone like "Michael Hutch " if I type "Michael" it still gives me like 800 names to chose from. My old laptop that had 2003 Outlook on it, had this functionality. Is there a way to enable this in Outlook 2010?

Name: logger_test_trigger Expression: {Zabbix server:log[/tmp/scribetest/test3/test3_current,error,,100].str(error)}=1 Severity: disaster The above settings works fine for the first time but next time the trigger shows ZBX_NOTSUPPORTED and after that item also shows "not supported" message. • Should I split my website into different servers

  I have a website where a user uploads photos, the photos gets resized and thumbnailed, and stored on the server. At the same time, there are some INSERTS into a MySQL table regarding the photo uploaded (like description, user id etc). The site currently runs off a managed VPS, and I love the support it provides. However it is expensive to store the many small photos and the resizing and thumbnailing processes do cause spikes on the app performance. (Amazon S3 is pretty expensive, especially considering the costs for uploading many small files) Question: Will it be a good idea to move the image processing operations and image storage to another server which is an unmanaged dedicated server with a much lower cost/gb and keep the current VPS for its 24/7 support and hosting the webapp? Or should I move the entire site to the dedicated server? • How to create reusable fields in Word

  I would like to create reusable fields that I can type in, then reuse those fields throughout the document without having to retype them. As an example, I have a cover sheet that contains "Title", "Document ID", "Version Number", and "Published Date". I used the MACROBUTTON trick to create a field that someone can just click on and type, but I don't see how I can re-use what is typed in other parts of the document (such as putting the Document title in the header). I've found something called "fill-in" fields, which don't seem to be what i'm looking for, and "ASK" fields, but that creates a dialog that you have to enter the information into. I'm trying to create a generic template for my documentation needs. Can anyone suggest a method to do what I am looking for?

• How to use wget with an input file and filenames

  i have a text file that contains 10,000 url's with a unique number i want to save the file as. Each line has a 10 character code, then the URL of the image to retrieve. How can I make the input file use the first 10 characters as the wget filename? this is an example of the input file: input.txt x100083590http://image.allmusic.com/13/adg/cov200/drt200/t291/t29123q8m19.jpg b200149548http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41DoH%2BAWKEL.jpg z100151855http://image.allmusic.com/13/amg/cov200/dri400/i450/i45035hxdrb.jpg p400171646http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/61cH4n34IhL.jpg wget -i input.txt would get the file but not with the preceding unique number. I want t29123q8m19.jpg (the first line) to be saved as x100083590.jpg If there is a better way to write out the input file, say with the URL first, then I can do that too, but I will never know the length of the first field. Right now the first 10 characters will always be what I want to save the wget image as. Edit This is being done in a windows environment.

• Finding the most common errors in event logs using Powershell.

  I have the event logs for one of our servers locally in .evtx format. I can load the log file into PS using the command: Get-WinEvent -Path D:\Desktop\serverlogs.evtx What I would like to do is on the Message field group events where the text matches by a certain percent (say 80% the same). As we have stacktraces for errors in the details which will be the same, but we also log the client's IP, url that was accessed which will likely be different. I want to group them so that I can work out the most common errors to prioritize fixing them and as there are 25,000+ errors in the log file I would rather not do it manually. I think I can work out how to do most of this, but am not sure how I could do the 'group fields which are mostly the same' part, does powershell have anything like this built in?

  I'm fairly new to Word 2007. (Coming more from a Linux/text editor background.) Each time I create a document within Word 2007, I add a set of details to the start of the document. It's the same set of details each time -- Author, Date Created, Date Last Modified, and Status, formatted in the same way each time. I include these bits of information either by inserting Fields (Insert -> Quick Parts -> Insert Field) or Document Properties (Insert -> Quick Parts -> Document Properties -> ...). I'm just wondering how I would go about setting up a macro or a template or something along those lines to insert this information automatically, either by a keypress in an existing document, or each time I start a new document.

  Description of project- I have a test tool to which DUT connects. The test tool has an access point in it and once DUT get connected to it via mac address we check RSSI and some other features of WiFi of DUT. Now I am wondering is there is any way I can measure throughput of Device under test via mac address of DUT from server side. Test-tool has LINUX fedora 11 in it and major coding is done in c/C++ and json command. Previously, I have tried to install ftp server on test-tool and DUT can connect to it and we can measure the throughput or data transfer rate, but this is not feasible solution as it requires lot of intervention from DUT. What I am interested in is 1) To run some script on server side /test tool and it gives me throughput of bandwidth of connected device may be via mac address of DUT OR 2) Server script transfer some files/packets to DUT and we can measure the throughput. Coding is not a major challenge at this stage , I just need some tool which requires minimum intervention from DUT.

• Systemd can't start script?

  I have a BASH-script I want to run on start up. My system is running systemd so I created a .service file with whith what I think is the neccessary information: [Unit] Description=My Script After=network.target [Service] ExecStart=/home/myscript.sh [Install] WantedBy=multi-user.target I used systemctl enable to 'register' it an rebooted. On boot I was told my script would be executed, but I could neither see any of the messages ECHO should display on screen nor did it write something to a file, according to what I had written in the script. Additionally, It does not start the application it's supposed to start. Systemctl status tells me that the script has run and exited successfully. Still, the script has no effect. If I run the script from a shell it works perfectly fine. Do any of you know what could be my problem?

  We use a Barracuda Spam Filter at work, and we also provide a mass emailing program to some of clients that send out newsletters. Lately one of them's been composing his latest company newsletter and has been trying to send preview messages to himself, but they've actually been quarantined by Barracuda as potential spam, even though they aren't.   Exchange 2010 sp2 Outlook 2007/2010 Server 2008 I have managed to set up several room mailboxes in exchange, people are able to book the rooms and they get a response from the exchange server. this is brilliant. however users are unable to view the calendar of the room mailbox to see what times are available, in a ideal world I would like users to only see if the room is free or not.   I have a Word source document which I'm using to create a PDF form. The first go-round, everything is fine because I can let Acrobat Pro auto-create all the fields. That feature is actually pretty awesome. However, after spending a bunch of time adjusting field sizes and alignments and formats and so on, I want to edit the source document, and now I'm faced with the prospect of doing all that over again. Isn't there some way to add the fields in the source document using the Developer ribbon and have those fields be preserved in the conversion to PDF? • How do I establish the network sharing to my WinXP server network drive from my Mac notebook?

  I have been able to connect to my WinXP server's shared drives by using Finder's Command-K to browse the network. Unfortunately, when the server gets rebooted, the connection drops and sometimes I cannot get reconnected. I have specified different protocols (afp / cifs / smb) and different login names (connect as...) with limited success. Once I find the right combination, I am good for a few weeks. Once, it seems as though I had to unshared and shared the drive to get it to work. Unfortunately, it is very frustrating, so I try multiple things at one time, so when I finally get to the success point -- I honestly don't know what worked. I followed Mac help, surfed for instructions, issues, etc., but nothing appears to be consistent. I would love for this thread to be the ultimate answer for all time! Can anyone help me? • Strange noise from my laptop when it is closed

  I am fan of powerfull PCs with huge wide screen monitors but I have bought an laptop as gift to my parents. This is the description: "second-handed" lenovo (and there is a sign "ThinkPad" Intel Core Duo CPU T6570 2.10 GHz 64 bits Windows 7 Ultimate and the issue is that when the laptop is turn on and then closed, after a interval of time (I am not sure how much exactly but I believe it is several hours) a strange noise come from the laptop. The noise is something like a "start-up" noise of old computers. I first thought this is some hardware issue but everything seems to work fine. Has anyone an idea what can cause this type of noise or a what can I do in order to track the problem down? I am not sure if this is a important thing, but the laptop is always connected to the power. Note: I have just noticed that the sound is generated again when the laptop is closed and then opened.
